The one thing that stands out about Frank's Steaks is their service. The waitress was excellent and really cared about making my experience good- she took the time to answer questions about the menu, offered recommendations and checked in frequently to make sure everything was ok. In fact, several people stopped by to see if I wanted anything else, asked me if my dinner was good etc- what a pleasant change from the typical service nowadays where you're treated almost as an afterthought. Anyway, about the food- I found it good but not remarkable. My filet mignon was good, but kind of fatty for that cut of meat, and although it was nice that they offered sides with the steak (mashed potatos and creamed spinach), they were relatively average. I've definitely had better on all accounts. What I was very disappointed with was the french onion soup. It was very peppery and lacked the light taste of wine that i enjoy in that dish. Also, the cheese was rather burned on top. I would not order that again. Since the service was so superior, I will probably go back again, but I was kind of let down with the meal, in general.
