Frank's Pizza & Italian Subs

A couple of weeks back (09/09/009) my wife & I went to Frank's in Vinton. After we waited for over 40 min. for our order & seen other tables served that had arrived after we did. Our food was severed very cold. We asked our server to replace our food. She was not happy about our request. After another 20 min- no food. I did ask if she could check on our food, but she never went to the kitchen. We had to go & at that point did not want to eat there. When we went to pay for our drinks I asked for the manager. Our server said she was the manager. She told us that our second order for food was put behind all others that had been placed ""too be fair to everyone"". I tried to get in touch with a general manager or owner, but several calls have not been returned. This is a shame, because we did like eating there, but NEVER AGAIN. I understand that there were busy that night & can understand a problem with service, but I will never understand a server let alone a manager being rude to a customer. I would love to be able to speak with a true manager of this restaurant, but figure they are busy enough & our business means nothing. Cons: Rude ""manager"" more

Pizza tastes great. The toppings are fresh and usually they put a ton of toppings on the pizza. There is a good lunch special for under $5.00. You get two big slices with one topping and a drink. If you want extra toppings it's like .55 cents per topping per slice, so if you like a lot of extra toppings it can really add up. I just wish that they would offer coupons or special offers to valued repeat customers. Anyway as I said before the pizza tastes great. I think that there pizza tastes as good as New York Pizza in Vinton, but it is a little cheaper. Pros: Great tasting pizza. Cons: Not always the cheapest deal if you like a lot of toppings. more

My wife and I often set down at franks to grab a bite and every time the atmosshere is cozy the service is excellent and the food meets my expectations with out a question . When dining my wife orders the steak sub which she always says the steak could use a bit more seasoning but all and all is a lovely dish . I on the other hand get the calzone , supurbe every time never any complaints here . I consider myself a well seasoned activist in the cullinary arts and I am very strict about the quality of my meal , so without further adu if you want a authintic New York style lunch for an affordable price Franks pizza is the place to go and enjoy .
