Editorial review from Citysearch 4/8/2013

Being an RN, I think your clinic could solve most of this frustrating termoil for you and the patients by listing all the things you do treat and specify what the patient needs to bring with them and a list of the cost ranges. There seems to be frustration for the staff and patients because the clinic is obviously poorly organized and it's like the blind leading the blind. Hope this helps. more

a couple of things 2/23/2011

Do you guys know WHY your 'emergency pain' is NOT actually an ER? Because the Doctor's get calls like 'hold up, I'll get us pills.' or 'I don't care that it's Friday night, I want my MEDS!' followed by ignorant people actually assuming that the office is just going to do as they say. Fetter doesn't handle you pain management because usually you wait too long to call in your pain management request. If you want it done, plan to get it done. The Doctor's there have lives and plans as well and their world does NOT revolve around whiny ass people who think the world does. They are running the kind of practice that people have taken for granted for so long now that it's become mistaken for a FREE clinic. It's not. They have to get paid somehow, but do any of you recognize that fact? No you just walk in with your hand out demanding attention and pills. you all are glorified drug seekers. If you walk in, without trying to make an appointment, you bet your ass you're going to wait, and there's a good chance they may not be able to see you. DEAL with it or make an appointment. Let's see, you know your getting sick when you start to NOT FEEL WELL. make an appointment then, show up early, not two minutes late, and have your forms in hand ready to go. Jesus Christ you think these people live to serve you. They don't. They have expectations too and don't get pissy with them because you haven't met theirs. You are the ones needing their help, so lose the attitudes and become a bit more gracious that there are still places like this to help people like you. So in short, quit your bitching and look at what you have, lose your entitlement issues, and remember that things could be a lot worse for you. Sincerely, The middleman who hears nothing but bitching out of both sides consistently and is sick of it. more

Seriously What Kind of Practice Are They Running?!!!! 2/17/2011

\r Seriously if you don't have an appointment don't expect to be seen. I waited there for over two hours just to tell me I couldn't be seen. A mother and her daughter, who was sick as well waited about the same time as me and they told her the same thing. I mean how are we supposed to know when we're going to be sick? They maybe cheaper but their customer service is terrible and their policy doesn't make any sense. If you are sick and need to be seen right away I DO NOT recommend going to this practice, well the one in Summerville that is. more

THERE'S GOT TO BE SOMETHING BETTER OUT THERE! 11/6/2008

I agree wholeheartedly with the former review. I live in a state that doesn't care about the health of it's own residents. Unfortunately, the Franklin Fetter Clinic is the ONLY physicians office I can afford to go to, yet I might as well flush my $30 per visit down the toilet! I have several health issues that I feel may be interrelated, yet when I go I am told they only want to treat ONE symptom at a time. So, let's see... I can't breathe, I am swelling up like a puffer fish (so bad I can leave indentations in my feet that remain for 10-15 minutes), I have pain from the tips of my fingers to the tips of my toes 24/7 (probably due to my diagnosed Osteoarthritis & Degenerative Joint Disease), frequent urination, incontinence, bouts of long-term blurry vision, have developed lipid/cholesterol deposits on my eyelids (called xanthelasma) and insomnia (and when I DO get tired enough to sleep, my legs want to run a marathon!... This will drive me crazy for hours!). So, hmmm... lemme see... I guess BREATHING must be pretty important, right?... So I am told I have COPD without ANY supportive tests (you'd think they'd at least give me some kind of breathing test!). I then try to ask about the swelling, which is obviously severe (I can't even wear my shoes anymore!)... I am then told this is a normal part of aging???.. I am 44 years old!!! This is NOT normal!... What am I suppose to do when they refuse to look at my symptoms as part of ONE ailment? I don't want to diagnose myself, but you'd think they'd be checking me for diabetes or a heart condition AND treating my pain as well. I never know what is gonna happen from day to day. One day I will not be able to walk, another day I can't see clearly at all, yet another day I can not write to save my life... I often get confused and misplace items (i.e. put the phone in the freezer)... So, this is the kind of care I can look forward to from now until the end of my days? DON'T leave a message.. You'll die waiting for a call back! Pros: They ARE affordable Cons: You get what you pay for more

Not recommended for pain management ! 1/15/2008

I'm a member of a low income family, one of many low income family's that have members who have injuries resulting in pain 24/7. Franklin C. Fetter is the only clinic I'm able to go to , and yet they refuse pain management. I would like for someone to tell me where I , and others like me are to go for pain management . seeing as how I am told that these Doctors have neither the time , nor are they there for this purpose ??? Then , Please tell me what they are there for ?? Most of us that go to this clinic are elderly, therefore we do have pain, either from injuries , or from age, so what does that say for a clinic that is for low income families, and the elderly, yet doesn't do pain management ?? Injured, Elderly, = Pain, so if your a clinic that treats injured, and elderly, low income families, then treat them, don't go half way , then say, oops, I'm sorry we don't do that. Your the last straw, where are we suppose to go for treatment ? Pros: if your not to sick, thumbs up ! Cons: if you need real treatment, Thumbs Down !!! more
