Very surpised to read poor reviews with Fowler. I am an investor and have been working with PM's for years. I have been with them for 5 years. All I can say is Ryan is GREAT! They are one of the best property management companies that I have ever worked with. He understands the business. He's fixed countless problems for me and saved me lots of money. His accountant Kevin is also very good. When I needed to hire a PM in Boulder I called about 3-4 and I decided on Fowler and have no regrets. If you're an investor I highly recommend them. more

Am currently renting from Fowler and have had a completely unsatisfactory experience. 1. They LOST our rent check one month and then tried to charge $50 in late fees for their own careless mistake. 2. The neighbors below our apartment were obviously drug dealers with numerous people coming in and out at all hours of the day and night. They had people sleeping on the floors of their apartment in sleeping bags and rummaging through the trash cans outside the building. The tenants were constantly having parties and throwing trash in the yard. They were evicted by the city of boulder only after numerous visits by the police and calls by multiple neighbors to Fowler complaining about the issue. 3. Flower is now 'showing' my apartment as I will not be renewing the lease. They have barged into the apartment two times (that i'm aware of) with NO NOTICE of any kind even though I keep giving them the proper contact info to let me know when they are planning to 'show' the place. 4. Today I went into Fowler's office requesting copies of the utility bills (which are paid in a monthly lump sum included in my rent) and was told that it would be $35 to copy these bills. I offered to leave my ID and go to FedEX to copy them myself since that would obviously be like $2 and the 'accounting rep' said that the bills could not leave the premise. she then went to get 'Jason' who is apparently some kind of manager who told me that the reason for the fee was because it took them ""like two hours worth of work to go to the storage shed and retrieve the bills and put them together"" I'm wondering why bills from this year are in a storage shed where it would take two hours to find. I'm also wondering why I'm expected to care how long it takes him to find the bills that I've already paid and have a right to copy for my records. Can't wait to see what they do with my security deposit. more

I am renting from Fowler right now and I can't wait for my lease to end. They charge the highest fees that are legal in the state of CO for anything they can. They don't fix problems in the apt.'s before a person moves in. If something happens where you need to move out before your lease is up, you are charged every month until that unit is rented. So say you needed to move for work or a family emergency, they will NOT let you out of the lease. Someone needs to come in and SUB-LEASE the space. I had to have my carpets cleaned after I moved in because they were so gross, my stove needed two new burners because they had the wrong ones in there and my bath and bathroom sink were clogged FULL of hair. It took two months for these things to be fixed. If I can spare anyone from renting from them than this is worth it. DO NOT RENT FROM FOWLER!!! more

I'm a landlord who was fleeced by Fowler, much the same way their tenants are. I paid Fowler Property Management's other company, Sherrelwood Services to clean, fix, repair and tune every single item in the condo. They charged me for it but never did anything. Fowler Property Management covered it up and lied about it. My guess is that they were going to keep the safety deposit money from the tenants to finally perform these duties. The toilet and refrigerator flooded the day the tenants moved in. I paid for new floors and a new carpet, which were damaged. The furnace suffered wear and tear because although I paid for it to be tuned, they didn't even change the filter. I collected reduced rent for a 14 month period and nothing for the first two and a half months. They caused me a collective damage of about $7,500 - meanwhile they were pocketing my rent. I fired them when I was told I have no proceeds because they have to replace the floors (the ones I paid for). I need you to write more and more of your experiences here - as I think this is a public concern. I'm also taking them to court. I've filed a complaint with Dora and the BBB. more
