Am currently renting from Fowler and have had a completely unsatisfactory experience.
1. They LOST our rent check one month and then tried to charge $50 in late fees for their own careless mistake.
2. The neighbors below our apartment were obviously drug dealers with numerous people coming in and out at all hours of the day and night. They had people sleeping on the floors of their apartment in sleeping bags and rummaging through the trash cans outside the building. The tenants were constantly having parties and throwing trash in the yard. They were evicted by the city of boulder only after numerous visits by the police and calls by multiple neighbors to Fowler complaining about the issue.
3. Flower is now 'showing' my apartment as I will not be renewing the lease. They have barged into the apartment two times (that i'm aware of) with NO NOTICE of any kind even though I keep giving them the proper contact info to let me know when they are planning to 'show' the place.
4. Today I went into Fowler's office requesting copies of the utility bills (which are paid in a monthly lump sum included in my rent) and was told that it would be $35 to copy these bills. I offered to leave my ID and go to FedEX to copy them myself since that would obviously be like $2 and the 'accounting rep' said that the bills could not leave the premise. she then went to get 'Jason' who is apparently some kind of manager who told me that the reason for the fee was because it took them ""like two hours worth of work to go to the storage shed and retrieve the bills and put them together"" I'm wondering why bills from this year are in a storage shed where it would take two hours to find. I'm also wondering why I'm expected to care how long it takes him to find the bills that I've already paid and have a right to copy for my records.
Can't wait to see what they do with my security deposit.
