Four Star Plumbing and Air Conditioning Services is a fine company for air conditioner repair and maintenance but is absolutely terrible at plumbing. The service rep was at my home for 15 minutes and charged me $174.00, that is more than $10.00 a minute, plus the serviceman didn't even clean out the shower after running a snake about 6 feet into the pipes. Complete ripoff company for plumbing needs. I will say again that I have used them for my air-conditioner service and have been pleased with there work. Plumbing is not there specialty, trust me. more

Bought a use condo that came with an existing Four Star service contract. Made a service call because one AC zone had stopped working and the other one was very loud, including a whistling noise from the return duct as if it could not get enough air volume in the return flow. The first technician, Mr Barry Gillespie, was very courteous and knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the problem with the non-working unit and had it going in no time. He then checked out the other unit which 4 Star had installed for the previous owner about 4 months ago. He found that the installers had not put a slot in the newly installed system to put an air filter in. NO AIR FILTER !!!! He also discovered that there was insufficient volume for the air duct primarily because one of the 3 original return ducts had never been hooked up. It was not 4 Star's fault that the original builder had not connected the third return to the original system but it is inconceivable that the 4 Star installers would not have found the problem when they installed the new system 4 months ago. 4 Star sent two techs out via a second trip and they installed a filter door (no filter though) and connected the return ductwork by an elaborate scheme of duct tape and pieces of duct foam. Not pretty but it does seem to be doing the job for For the moment. 4 Star should have correctly installed the new unit the first time. more

Four Star Plumbing & AC Service did a good job. I am satisfied with all the work that they did. The problem I had was that their pricing is a little high and their service is a little slow. Nevertheless, I will probably use them again in the future. more

As usual, when the heat pump decides to now work properly it happens on the weekend. I contacted Four Star on the Sunday prior to the 4th around 9AM. Asked if I would be home between 11 and 1 PM. A few minutes before 11 Mike arrived at the house. He did a thorough check and found my blower motor was not working properly. He rigged the system that the blower would circulate cool air until a part could be ordered and installed. Monday, John arrived at my house around 230 with the new part. He quickly installed and had the system up and running in around 30 minutes. Great to deal with a company that provided quick and efficient service the first time. Also was glad that they were able to get a part that had to be programed to my heat pump before the holiday. Price was also very reasonable, especially considering emergency call was a Sunday. First time I've used Four Star but it won't be the last. My neighbors have used Four Star and all have been extremely satisfied. Should I have any issues in the future they will be my first call for service. GREAT JOB!!! more

My a/c stopped pushing out air, period. I was nervous because my appt was 5-7 on a Friday going into the holiday weekend. Repairman showed up at 4:30, listened to me, got his ladder and went into the attic. Half an hour later I had cool air blowing. Could have told me it was a blower motor, or condenser, or widget; how would I know? Instead, it was a clog and some wires not making solid contact. $75 for entire visit. Impossible to get better service than that! more
