Fountain Creek Veterinary Clinic 9/21/2010

I normally never write reviews, but after reading the negative review posted below, I felt I had to set the record straight. We have two cats, Poe and Isis, a brother and sister that we adopted when they were 4 days old. Their mother had abandoned them and somehow my wife and I ended up becoming surrogate parents -- feeding them from an eye dropper, waking up every 3 hours, etc. Today, they are both full grown, happy cats, and the closest thing my wife and I have gotten to having kids of our own. When I was stationed at Fort Carson, we needed to a new vet and found Dr. Graf/Fountain Creek Veterinary Clinic online. Our first visit, we were totally blown away by Dr. Graf?s professionalism, the clinic?s cleanliness, and the great staff. Prices were more than fair (including a military discount), and the care our cat?s received was second to none. We?ve had all their shots taken care of through this clinic, called about a possible emergency after one cat ingested some toxic tea tree oil (and was given good, straight forward advice on what to do and watch for), and had both cats receive some dental work/cleaning. The latter visit resulted in an overnight stay. We picked them up happy and healthy the next day. We missed our cats overnight, but NEVER did we fret for their safety nor have any concern that they were being treated poorly. I DO NOT, for one minute, believe the ranting of the earlier negative reviewer were anything more than the unpleasant side of a drug abuser and an ugly divorce. While in the military, I worked in the JAG Corps (the legal portion of the Army), and saw many clients with drug issues that fit the pattern described by the individual with the negative review. How sad that someone so unstable would stoop so low to blatantly lie about such an outstanding clinic. I can promise that after the arduous process of raising two 4-day old kittens, we would NEVER take our precious ?kids? anywhere but the best -- and the best IS Fountain Creek Veterinary Clinic! more

In Response to the negative review 9/21/2010

I am sorry my daughter's personal life carried over into our business. She divorced her husband due to abuse and this is his and his family's attempt to ""get even"" with us as they said they would do. Please feel free to come and check out our clinic anytime you would like and we will give you a tour of the facility. We also have hundreds of clients that are willing to offer a review or reference if any new client would like one. Sorry again for this carrying over into the work place. I guess it is too bad that people can't walk away like adults. These accusations were also made against us with the State Veterinary Board who thoroughly reviewed the accusations and cleared the clinic of EVERYTHING stating that it sounded like an ""ugly divorce"". Hopefully the attempted break-ins at the clinic will stop when he is arrested. Sincerely, Patricia Graf owner of Fountain Creek Veterinary more

worst clinic ever 9/20/2010

the staff like to sell the medications to people so the people can use them for themselves, not for there dogs, and the whole staff is stuck up and think they are better than use and treat us as such, i brought my dog there once and witnessed all this only once, i can imagine what else goes on there, there receptionist, the large one, was very rude more

Sucky Clinic 9/20/2010

Worst clinic i ever seen, i personaly witnessed the staff taking the animals there out back and beating them when they were constantly whinning and being loud, they also give the animals large amounts of sedatives to make them pass out, there cleanliness is outragous, just plain nasty in the or, they mistreat the animals and i was just shocked at the performance of the staff, i reccomend that you do not bring your animal there if you do, check your animal after for bruises and welts, more

Compassion is not lost here 7/13/2010

Dr Graf is a wonderful and compassionate Vet. I had to make the hardest decision on my best friend, a 13 yr old Lab. Dr Graf was right there with me and allowed me to use a phone. This was the first time I had seen Dr Graf and his staff. Lets just say I was not the only one who shed a tear in that room. Compassion is not something that you see everyday in Vets, as we have moved around for 20 yrs, and I have seen many vet styles. The staff and Dr treated me as if I was a long time client and not just another face with a pet. I was not going to write a review because I felt what was already said did it justice. However, my cat came in contact with a engine fan @ 0515 in the morning and although it had to go to an emergency care facility because of the hours, I did do a follow up with Dr Graf and his office. Dr Graf looked at each wound and removed the sutures with a VERY reasonable price tag!!! I usually go to the Vet on post for my pets vaccinations but I will now go to Fountain Creek Animal Clinic for all my pet care needs and concerns!!!! If you choose any other Vet, you are not getting the best possible care for your pet. As a pet parent, I want the best care for my pets. It was not just one positive experience, it is every time I walk in there. Pros: Friendly, priced excellent, military discount Cons: NONE!! more

Treats you with compassion 2/13/2010

We had just lost our dog at home and we took her to Fountain Creek to be taken care of. They allowed us to come in right away, use a seperate entrance and gave us the privacy we needed to grieve. Dr. Graf and his wife Patty treated our beloved dog with respect and love. The gave us many options and wanted what was best for our dog. They were really wonderful during this difficult time for us. Pros: Very helpful and caring Cons: Nons more

Very friendly, everyone I talked to was great 2/11/2010

My dog was attacked by another dog and injured badly. I called vets in the phonebook and two others in the area said they wouldn't see me because I ""wasn't a current client"" and ""it was an emergency and they didn't have time"". I call Dr. Graf's office and the receptionist said to head right down. Dr. Graf got me right in and treated my dog. I just got a job so I didn't have a ton of money. They gave me an estimate and told me what was absolutely necessary and what was optional. My dog and I both had a great experience and I will definitely recommend this vet to everyone. Pros: My dog was treated for an emergency price was reasonable Cons: didn't find any more

All you could ask for. 8/14/2009

After a bad experience at Clearview (see review) I called Fountain Creek and was warmly greeted and made an appointment to have my friend of 19 years put to sleep. They were kind caring and so incredibly helpful in getting me through one of the worst days of my life. Thank you for making his last moments comfortable, without fear and filled with love. You are so very much appreciated. Your whole staff made a difficult time in my life a little easier. Pros: Everything Cons: Nothing more

Clean, professional, knowledgeable, and dependable 7/14/2009

We have been bringing our pets to Dr. and Patty Graf for years (since 2001). In this time frame he has treated our dogs, and cats. We could not be more pleased with our experiences with all of their staff considering the professional care, knowledgeable advise, and clean facility. This is a family run small business and we would not think of going anywhere else. Pros: Privately owned, not a corporate animal healthcare factory Cons: Have been a client for years...we have no complaints more

Regarding ""Doug""... 3/24/2009

I happen to know someone that was at the animal hosptial when ""Doug"" showed up. They were waiting for their pet to take home. He was drunk, had no money and was extremely rude. There was no way they could help him as he was a threat to the office. This animal hospital is by far the best I have ever experienced. I had to have one of my dear pets put to rest there last year and they treated us with the utmost respect, honor and grace. We recommend this office above any we have ever been to in our lives and in any state. The care, concern and their genuine hearts are most evident. Pros: Tell the whole story... Cons: Witholding information is wrong.... more

Very friendly, great treatment, compassion 3/18/2009

My ""Shadow"" got hurt while I was at work. I got home at 5:15. I ask my neighbor who I should call and she said without hesitation, Dr. Graf. I called at 5:25. I informed them I just moved into the area and did not have a vet. I told them my dog was hurt (they close at 5:30). I was fully expecting to be told to ""go to an emergency clinic"". Wow, was I shocked when the receptionist told me to head down and the doctor would stay to see my dog. (My dog had cut his paw on lawn edgeing and it was bleeding). I rushed to the clinic and was seen immediately. I told the receptionist that I had left in a hurry and left my wallet at home. She smiled and said, we understand, can you come in tomorrow and take care of the balance or would you like us to bill you. Again, wow. Shadow was very well cared for and I now have a new vet. I was very impressed. I did read the review from dougbud and I definitely do NOT agree, I wonder what the rest of the story is, because I certainly was not treated like that. Now, I'll be the neighbor that says, ""you have to go see Dr. Graf"". :) Pros: Just moved here I ask neighbors said to go see Dr. Graf more

Truely the Other Family Doctor 3/18/2009

Wonderful veterinary clinic. Dr. Graf or his technicians answered all of my questions, they spent over 30 minutes with me and my dog. I learned more from Fountain Creek Veterinary's staff in 30 minutes than I have from all of my other vet visits combined. Strongly recommend. Very clean, no bad smell like I have had at other clinics, and all the staff was friendly. You won't be disappointed. Sheri Pros: quality medicine with compassion Cons: busy, but like a great place to eat more

I was turned away because I couldnt pay 2/17/2009

My dog Budy badly hurt his front paw. I thought it was broken. He was in alot of pain. Went to fountain creek vet and they would not see me till I filled out a credit application and I was denied credit . They refused to help my dog. They sent me to healthy pets up the road where my dog was seen by a doctor right away. Even though money was a concern healthy pets worked with what I could afford for Budy. Cons: More concerned about money than my pet more

I learned more in ten minutes from Dr. Graf than I have in 3 years at my old clinic 2/5/2009

I asked a few of my neighbors and friends what vet I should take my dog to for a second opinion. I was very surprised that every one of them said, ""you need to go see Dr. Graf."" With that kind of recommendation I had to meet this DVM. I called and asked how soon I could get in and told them I was a new client and thought my dog was sick. The receptionist told me that they were booked, and even ""double booked"" but if I would not mind a short wait they would get me in. I was amazed that as a new client I was able to get in that day. (Ironically, my vet could not get me in even after I told them I thought my dog was sick.) Dr. Graf's wife, certified nurse, came into the room and did a brief exam on Toby and talked to me about everything Toby had done and all his medical history. Then Dr. Graf came into the room. I immediately felt at home at this clinic and strongly recommend that you go see Dr. Graf and his wife. They make a great team and it truely is like the other family doctor as their business card says. I won't ever go anywhere else. Now I'm one of those neighbors telling everyone that asks and some that don't, go see Dr. Graf, you won't be disappointed. I think you can trust what he or his staff tells you. Pros: Family atmosphere with great care, everyone I talked to said, go see Dr. Graf Cons: I did not find out about Fountain Creek Vet sooner more

Wonderful experience, I'm so glad I didn't listen to the vet down the road and put my dog down!!!! 2/5/2009

I took my dog to Dr. Graf for a second oppinion. I had been told that I needed a 2,000 dollar sugery or to put my dog down. Dr. Graf walked into the exam room and by just looking at my dog asked if he had been tested for hypothyroid. I said no. He did lab work and tested my dog. My dog was hypothyroid and is now on medication. He's feeling great and looking great. I'm so glad that I did not listen to the idiot up the road and put my dog down. All the staff was wonderful. I will never go anywhere else. Sometimes there is a short wait to be seen. I take that like a restraurant, if it's busy the food is probably good. It is definitely worth any wait and such a pleasant staff is nice. I go in for refills on my dog's medication and am always greeted with a smile and pleasant people. I highly recommend this pet hospital. I have not found any ""cons"" to tell you about. Pros: Good medicine, Caring staff, Spent a lot of time explaining what was wrong highly recommend, very clean Cons: Not more vet hospitals like this one more

All you expect and more 1/6/2009

I saw the ad of Fountain Creek Vet ""the other family doctor"" and was impressed. I stopped by to meet them (I had just moved into the area). I was quickly introduced to the Office Mang. Patty Graf. She gave me a tour of the facility and explained the services. I quickly felt welcome and knew me pets would also. I needed an appointment and they got me in the same day. I met Dr. Graf and my mind was made up. He explained what was wrong with Joey and gave me options for treatment. I was very happy with the services and the family atmosphere. I don't like ""corporate pet care"" and it was so nice to find a family clinic that offers up to date and quality medicine without treating me and my dog like a number. The next time I went in for a recheck the receptionist knew my name and Joey's name. The facility was very clean. While I was there an emergency came in and the entire team went into action like a well oiled machine. Even with the emergency my wait was not too long. I would encourage EVERYONE looking for a new veterinarian to check out this clinic. I am certainly glad I did. Pros: Answered all my questions, explained medications, and got my dog in same day more

See reviews under Fountain Creek Veterinary 11/23/2008

Worth checking out if you want good quality medicine at an affordable price. It's a friendly place with smiles and good pet care. Pros: Everything good about pet care is here Cons: not more clinics like this one around the USA more

Never learned so much in so short a time!!! Highly Recommend to all pet lovers!! 11/23/2008

I have been taking my pets (dogs, cat, bird) to another veterinary in the area. Every time I went in I saw a different doctor and they did not know anything about my animals. I found my home now. Dr. Graf's clinic is very nice. It kind of has that small town friendly feel with good medicine. They spayed my dog and have treated my cat for upper respiratory. My old vet wanted to do hundreds of dollars in ""diagnostics"" and said they would not treat my cat if I could not do the testing. Dr. Graf explained that the tests would be good but if I couldn't afford it, we would treat my cat anyway. I had just lost my job and money was tight. Dr. Graf treated my cat for a fraction of the cost the other clinic quoted and Tommy is doing great. Dr. Graf worked within my budget and offered very good service. I was never made to feel badly for not being able to afford the testing. All the staff were very friendly but professional. I hope if you are looking for the best vet in the area that you will go meet Dr. Graf, Patty Graf, and all the staff. You won't be sorry. Fountain Creek Veterinary Clinic is a breath of fresh air in today's world of poor customer service and bad medicine. :) more

Friendly and Fantastic, Lots of Compassion and Very Skilled Medicine 11/23/2008

The best vet clinic on earth. I went in as a walk in appointment. I did this intentionally to see how I would be treated. At my last veterinarian, I had an emergency and ""walked"" in with my cat ""Joey"" and they became very rude with me saying that they could not help me, I would have to go somewhere else. I had been going there for 3 years. I walked into Fountain Creek Veterinary Clinic and was welcomed warmly. They were very concerned about my sick dog, Sam, and quickly got me in to see a doctor. I met Patty Graf, Dr. Graf's wife, first. She calmed me down and immediately got a doctor to look at Sam. Dr. Graf then did a very good physical exam and explained what needed to be done to make Sam better. I was very happy with the service. They treated Sam in the exam room and allowed me to stay with him. Medicine was sent home and Sam is doing great. I was expecting a several hundred dollar bill and it was not! All of the staff were very friendly. I never felt like a stranger. Dr. Graf and his wife and all the staff get a huge thumbs up. I've been back several times since and always get the same friendly smiles and great service. Thanks and keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amy Pros: Friendly; Shows genuine compassion; explains clearly what is wrong or needed Cons: I looked and didn't find one more

Fountain Creek Vet Clinic 7/14/2008

Excellent, excellent, excellent! Fountain Creek was so accomodating. We had a sudden case of kennel cough and they got us in immediately (within 2 hours of calling). The facility was clean, well managed and the vets were super pleasant, available to answer questions and really seemed to love animals. I won't go anywhere else. more
