Editorial review from Citysearch 3/14/2014

I'd like to quickly join in here as I recently had a poor experience with Forward Printing as well. Good thing is that, I looked for early signals of deception and lack of customer focus before spending a dime.\r \r Here's my experience:\r \r 1. Came across their website in a general Google Search\r 2. Was impressed and pulled in with their big bold claims of...\r \r ""NO FILM, ART OR SCREEN SETUP FEES! Our price is what it is - we don't nickel and dime you with setup fees or any hidden charges.""\r \r ...this is what hooked me.\r \r 3. So I used their online form to request that someone contact me to discuss my printing needs.\r \r 4. 1 day went by...no one contacted me. I was even checking spam to make sure.\r 2 days go by...no one contacted me.\r \r 5. On the 2nd day, I decide to call them direct. I was prepared to let them know I'm on day 2, no answer from you guys...what's up? BUT...it went to voice mail. So I left a message.\r \r 6. Now 3 days go by...still no contact, even after my online request + voice mail message.\r \r 7. Finally on the 3rd or 4th day, I get an email, with some lame excuse about how busy they are...like ""business is booming"" so hard to keep up with all the orders-type thing! LOL!\r \r 8. Ok so now that I'm finally in touch with someone, they tell me, based on the artwork, I have 6 colors and so will need 6 screens. I'm like ok, yeah this sound right.\r \r And they said ""but you stated you only want 1 sample and if so, you will have to pay for a setup fee.""\r \r So I respond with ""but your site boast about ""no fees""\r \r They replied...""that's no fee IF you commit to a production order with us but since you're only asking for 1 sample, you have to pay the setup fee""\r \r So I respond...""aah...hello...the goal is to get 1000 prints but obviously before I pay for 1000 prints, I need to see how good (or not so good) your work is. So the 1 sample is to prototype your work.\r \r If it's good...great, here comes the 1000 print order.\r \r But if it's bad...then no go! We can rework it till it's good or I move on to source another printer.""\r \r \r And to this, they returned with a not-so-customer focused response...and I will cut n paste their exact words...\r \r ""As I said, we typically don't print one off samples but the estimate attached is for said samples. We don't charge screen setup fees but that hinges on our minimum order quantity of 36 being met. For pre production samples we charge $50 per color. ""\r \r Notice...""...we don't charge screen setup fees BUT...BUT...BUT...that HINGES on our minimum order....""\r \r This is gibberish for ""hidden fees"" and it definitely is in conflict to their claim of ""Our price is what it is - we don't nickel and dime you with setup fees or any hidden charges""\r \r \r Beware community, beware!\r \r Don't let desperation to find a printer caused you to be frustrated and regretful.\r \r I have other contacts for printers, and if anyone needs them, I'm more than willing to share the love!\r \r Take care all.\r more

Poor Quality Control, Poor Customer Service, NO Integrity 3/31/2011

The guys at Forward Printing are only good to work with if nothing goes wrong, but God forbid if they mess up your order, then you see their true colors, and their lack of integrity and customer service. \r \r They severely messed up close to 50% of my order with rejectable product. No, I am not a dis-gruntled employee or a competitor. Just see the report on the Better Business Bureau's website (BBB CASE#: 57189663), to which they were unable to respond satisfactorily with respect to why they were unable, and unwilling, resolve an issue with their utter lack of quality and process control on my order; they sent me my order of t-shirts with severe ink bleeds, dirt, and inexcusable mis-registration of graphics, basically trash printing. Please feel free to contact me and I can send you pictures of their ""work"" and ""crafstmanship"" for which they are being taken to court, and don't just fall victim to believing that everything they do is innovative and perfect, because that's far from the truth.\r \r I am following up with taking them to small claims court to get my money back, but if you just want to avoid the headache, it's best to avoid Forward Printing and look elsewhere to the many silk screening companies throughout the Bay Area and Nor Cal.\r \r Yes, you see a lot of stellar reviews here (all of which they requested their satisfied customers to provide for them), but I am sorry to say that my experience has been disgusting to say the least. Over-priced, no quality control, no integrity, and no professionalism when they mess up your order...that's the risk you take when you work with these guys. \r more

Fabulous quality and service! 10/15/2007

These folks are great! They answered my many many questions before hand and delivered with a quick turn around as promised with great quality. They are willing to work with you to make sure you get exactly what you want and within your budget. You might find someplace that's a hair cheaper but when it comes to the quality and customer service, they are the best and well worth the few extra cents. I definitely recommend them for your printing needs. Pros: Friendly, very helpful, great quality, very professional, quick turn around Cons: Not a great neighborhood but they do deliver! more

nice shirts and real quick! 8/14/2007

had these dudes print my band's t-shirts. professional and cool people to deal with. i shopped around and found a few cheaper companies, but these guys had much higher quality so i went with them. i'm glad i did. the process was painless and quick. thanks! Pros: fast, high quality, professional, returned my calls, easy to work with Cons: their minimum is 24, so if you want to do 12 shirts, then you have to find someone else. more
