Fort Financial Federal Credit Union

You need to be careful, I just looked at my account and a new monthly charge was coming out. Never notified, they said it was due to a computer upgrade they had a problem the system just added that service to a bunch of accounts automatically. But they never notified their customers that we need to check on this fee or service. When I asked for it to be returned they said I had to come in and sign something. After I got upset they agreed to resolve it. I have been with them for a very long time, but it certainly seems like things are changing to a not very customer friendly place. more

Started Friday with over $300 balance. One $70 debit. My account shows $20.16 transferred from savings + $3.00 transfer fee. Sat started with over $250. Debit $138.00. My account shows $15.00 transferred from savings + another $3.00 fee. Teller who answered phone Mon totally confused. Asked for manager, transferred me to Kelly who was quite rude. Asked to speak to CEO, was transferred to wrong extension. Very frustrated with such inept staff who don't know or don't care what customer service and satisfaction means. I have over 6 accounts with them - but am moving my money to a financial institution I can trust! more

I've been banking with FFCU for months and they are always kind and courteous to me whenever I come in. Additionally, I had some questions as to what options were available to me when banking there and which would be the best for my situation. I had done some research prior to that and felt that the representative I spoke with did a great job explaining those options in greater detail. His explanations also fell in line with what I had researched myself which made me feel more comfortable with my decision. Thank you for your help! more

I got a truck loan through fort financial, I never recieved a payment book . I called and asked numerous times for a payment book that I never recieved . I missed a few payments due to not having the book so then I owed late fees . When I went to pay the truck of I called and got the payoff , I the. Paid that amount . I never recieved my title. ,so I call back they then tell me I owe more money yet . So I tell them to send me a bill . So they did and all the bill said was fort financial $150 that was it didn't explain where all the extra money was coming from so I called back just to get more run around . Long story short I will never use them again and I don't recommend anyone else to use fort financial . more

After I have given Fort Financial Credit Union on Lima Road several chance to get it right, they failed. The employees give different answers to the same questions. They left us on hold several times for long period of time when we ask for additional help. I will not promote this facility to anyone. No one deserves to waste there time or energy trying to get assistance on the accounts that this facility runs. They put holds on funds and tells customers it is your financial institutions policy. When in fact it Is FFFCU that is putting the hold on funds. These people are not trained in customer service, banking or in common courtesy. They clearly fail on all levels. The one star was given in order to send my comment. I would not give them any stars. In fact they should be taking stars away for the worst service. more

I am very grateful to Fort Financial. They have proven to be caring about be personally. Several months ago I got a car loan from them and it was the best rate in the area. Just like the person said above, it took only a few minutes, no hassles. But just when I thought things couldn’t be any better, they helped me again. Unknown to me, a clerk at a local store kept my debit card number and began to use it personally. Someone from Fort Financial called me immediately to verify the transactions that were not mine. They sent me out some brief paperwork to sign and to give to the police department to help bring charges against the store’s clerk. Fort Financial immediately credited my account for the fraud while all this was being worked out. I appreciated the great help and the careful monitoring of their customers accounts. They are the best! more

The credit unions in Allen County were regulated so that only certain people who belonged to a particular category of businesses could join or be a member. This was recently changed and now anyone can join this credit union. This union is nice because it is member owned and the rates for cars and personal loans are lower than private banks. They also have a number of locations in town. The tellers are quite friendly and exceptionally helpful! more

I just got my last car loan from Fort Financial Credit Union. The paper work was painless and it was a five minute transaction. Very easy and painless. They seem not to have a fancy place but make up for it in rates and costs. All very low compared to the large banks in town. I have been very happy with the service and the people I have come in contact with. more
