I have lived in Dearborn for over 20 years and have been taking my dry cleaning to Fordson for probably that long! They do a great job! I am a bit of a klutz and always spill on myself. They have been able to get out stains too. more

I love Fordson Cleaners! They are very helpful with all my cleaning. I have been going there for years. They are also contracted to clean my work uniforms. I am always happy with those too. The holes are fixed in them when needed. more

Very poor customer-skills on the part of the owner - an older, angry "man", if you can call him that. I brought in two dresses for cleaning, and one came back with a slight gash in it. When I asked to speak to the owner (a man whose persona lacks courtesy, grace, or humility, particularly to his coworkers - just ask them), he barked at me that he nor his operation caused the gash in my dress, and that he would not reimburse me for damage his operation caused. After all the years of business I brought to Fordson Cleaners, I told him I would never come back. To which he smugly said, "fine". Poor service begets poor reviews here, Mr. Owner. (If you need a better cleaners, try Wood Cleaners in nearby Melvindale, near Oakwood and Allen Rds. The staff are much more pleasant, courteous, and caring for your goods. more

I have been a customer of Fordson Cleaners for over the past ten years, and have developed a friendly, cordial relationship with both the workers and the owner. As such, I was floored/dismayed when I picked up my dress recently and saw it had a straight-line gash in it. (As if ripped on a cleaners machine or something.) I asked to speak to the owner, and he adamantly denied responsibility. His immediate response, ever so blunt and uncouth, was unconscionable for a customer who has patronized his business for so long. Appalled, I told the owner I would never come back to his cleaners. Folks, I do not post these comments here lightly. I was wronged by having a dress returned to me by Fordson Cleaners in a poor, unsatisfactory manner...ruined. I have no recourse but to air my poor experience with Fordson Cleaners here, so that you may be alerted to similar ways of how the owner of Fordson Cleaners conducts business. Fellow customers of Dearborn/West Detroit, do yourself a favor and take your laundered, dry cleaning, and tailoring needs elsewhere. There are fine cleaners in Melvindale (Oakwood and Allen Rds.), Allen Park (on Allen Road), and in Dearborn (Monroe St.) SHAME ON YOU, FORDSON CLEANERS! more

I brought in some curtains to be split and hemmed - simple job. Not only were they NOT finished a day AFTER promised, but whoever was working on them cut them TOO SHORT so they can?t be folded and hemmed! The curtain is ruined and will need to be replaced. What is worse, the staff was rude and the owner completely unresponsive. Go somewhere else, I know I will! more

I accidently spilled my drink on my favorite work outfit and needed it for a business conference that weekend. I took it to Fordson and they did a fabulous job getting the stain out. I was worried that they wouldn't get it out completely but you can't notice that there was ever a stain there. Plus, I told them that I needed a quick turnaround because of the conference and they put a rush on my order with no problems at all. I was very happy with the service. more

I have had great experienced with Fordson Cleaners. They can get staines out of clothes that other cleaners give up on. They are fast and very economically priced. They do an outstanding job with their dry cleaning....I have never had to send anything back. They are pretty fast too. They do not have a problem rushing your order if you get yourself in a bind. They spend time actually cleaning the clothing, not like the other chain cleaners that simply spray some fragrance on the clothes and call them clean. This is definetely the place to take your clothes if you value them. more

These people came over a couple of weeks back to clean our carpet after the party we had last night from Halloween. Someone made a small (understatement) mistake and the red punch got spilled all over our carpet. These guys got all the stains up and made the carpet look brand new, we are very pleased with this service and will use them again. more
