Best

La Fondue is fantastic! It readily takes me back to the 1970's when we used to eat this each and every Saturday night. The atmosphere is an extremely charming, dimly lit, countr...

This restaurant had very small portions. Not to much to choose from on the menu. Its very expensive.

Dessert is a must! 12/17/2005

My friend and I recently wanted to go for a fun night out. We live in LA and the South Bay area, respectively, so this was a trek for us on a Friday night. We were warmly greeted and our waiter was really nice. If you're expecting large portions of food, you probably need to go somewhere else. But if you want to sit down for a nice long catchup session with friends, this is the place to do it. We ordered the complete dinner and had a great time. You can fill up on just the cheese appetizer. The food was good, but honestly not great. The dessert was the most fun though. Our meal took about 3 hours. I would go back with people who like trying new experiences and who want a fun meal - not with someone who's looking for filling up on meat. more

WORST CUISINE EXPERIENCE EVER!!! 10/6/2005

This is the absolutely the worst cuisine experience I ever had. Talk about throwing away good money for nothing. The place is old and dingy, the service snoody, and the food had no taste! For the money you pay, one would expect at the very least atmosphere and presentation. The main course came out in a plain wooden platter with sauces in paper containers. All of the sauces tasted the same... I might only recommend this place to someone I didn't like too much. more

i love this place 8/17/2005

i disagree with another review about bad service, the servers were friendly and helpful with wine selection. yes, the place is pricey but you have to know that going in. the meal sampler is plenty of food and fun fun fun. i have to say that i couldn't quite get a handle on how long to cook the shrimp so now i skip it in favor of scallops - which always come out right - and chicken or beef. this place is a must in the valley. Vegetarians beware - everything is cooked in the same pot of oil on the table, so if you're with meat eaters you'll be sharing ""tainted"" oil for your veggies Pros: fun, yummy Cons: expensive more

Bland 3/7/2005

With poor menu selection, below average service, and mediocre food, the descriptive word is 'Bland'. Parking is a nightmare, and the prices are insane, 2 people, 2 meals, a glass of wine and a soda, after tip we walked out for just over $100.00. more

Best place for a first date....good ice breaker....romantic...fun....relaxing....we were able to stay over three hours and not feel any pressure.....a good value restaurant $ 33. for a fixed price dinner : cheese fondue to start....a mushroom salad with a dressing so good I had to ask for the recipe....main course we choose beef filet and shrimp to be cooked at our own table!...dessert ?my favorite! if you like chocolate it's decadent...a chocolate fondue with ""all you can eat"" chocolate and fresh fruits! my guest was impressed...so did I....thank you ! Pros: Europe w.o. jetlag, Great value, For special occasion Cons: , parking in rear more

Fun 8/22/2004

If you've never tried it, you should. Personally, I love fondue and do it at home, but it's fun to go out with friends and enjoy (and not have to do the work yourself). It is a little pricey, but if you have the Entertainment book, use the card that comes with it and you can save $$$. In the end, I love it, my husband groans everytime I want to go. Everyone has a different opinion. Pros: Fun more

If this is your first time... 7/4/2004

the menu is simple, and there are few choices. the food is medicore, on the tray you are given you receive about 1/4lbs of meat and maybe 2 mushrooms cut in half and 3 medium slices of zuccini. for 31-33$ its not a lot of food. especially considering you can either deep fry your food in cotton seed oil or in a bland soup base. you would think there would be more choices as how to cook your food, but they do try and compensate with 5 different sauces. they had a garlic, the best, something that tasted like spaghetti sauce, a hard bechamel sauce, sour cream and chives and a sweet and sour sauce that tasted like someone had put a cigar in it first. desert was the best part of the meal. but having ripe fruit and good chocolate, how could you mess this up? Pros: nice wait staff, decent parking, nice ambiance Cons: , price>quaility food more

Win some, Lose some 6/30/2002

The ambience was great - neat furniture, altho the leather weaving on the seats could stand to be redone. Saturday night they offer the ""complete dinner"" - the cheese fondu was tasty, the salad fresh & the dressing excellent - main course meat & chicken were fresh, tender, cooked well in the broth. Chocolate for dessert was amazing! Service was EXCELLENT. Pros: great service, nice ambience, valet parking Cons: expensive, slightly run-down more
