Love this concept for meat lovers in Houston!!!!!! Took the brother here for his 40th birthday and he fell in love!!!!! Great salad bar too. But the reason you come here is for ...

When this restaurant first opened it was wonderful. Very elegant; people dressed up to go there and the food was fantastic. That was then. Now this place is filled with people who...

GRRREAT MEEEEAAATT! 5/20/2004

I don't think the review by epilicer is justified when the spell valet parking ""valley parking"", obviously they are confused or confusing the staff with thier English. That is why they aren't getting what they want, ha! Anywhoo, Fogo de Chao is consistenly wonderful everytime we go. Service is good and we usually don't have reservations and we don't slip the hostess any extra bling. It is a little pricey, but well worth it for a special gathering. Pros: tasty meats, super salad, guys w/ puffy shirts more

Ex-cel-lente!! 2/8/2004

I took my fiance here for his first visit to Houston, and it set an impeccable standard. This was the best customer service and food I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. The service is beyond prompt and courteous. It is definitely worth the price! Pros: very prompt, excellent food, variety more

No where else.... 2/5/2004

can you get service like at Fogo. I am often torn between eating like a pig at the incredible salad bar, or skipping it all together to save room for the incredible meats. The mashed potatoes are to die for, I only wish I knew if they were instant. Pros: service, salad bar, meat more

A must try! 12/24/2003

Do you like meat? Do you love meat? Do you want more than those skimpy portions they give you at those nice steak restaurants? All of the above! You sit..no menu..and you ""Chao"" down! As long as you have a small coster flipped over to the green side, they won't stop coming up to you offering different succulent meats! Every kind of meat you can imagine and the best of all of them! Even if you aren't a super meat-a-holic they have a massive salad bar...and I mean massive..with every vegetable known to man! For $42.50 a person, don't come here unless your prepared to satisfy a SERIOUS appetite! With great service and excellent bang for your buck, why wouldn't you go here? Pros: All you can eat meat!, Succulent meats!, Great Service! Cons: $42.50 a person, Can be crowded, Not for vegetarians more

yummy 12/21/2003

sure its alittle crowded and packed, but the more the merrier, right? service was great, food was excellent, price wasnt too bad either. Pros: excellent service more

First time but not the last 3/12/2003

I recently went with a few co-workers and it was a wonderful experience. The service was more than excellent and the salad bar was awesome. I wanted to make another trip to the salad bar but I wanted to leave room for terrific meats. Pros: Service, Variety, Food Cons: Cost more

Diets come here to die 2/7/2003

We had our rehearsal dinner here two years ago and it only set my father back $4300 with everyone getting 2 drinks. People that came in from out of town (mostly from Nebraska) then still talk about it to us, with fond memories of great meat, awesome salad bar and great service. Scott (the manager then) was truly helpful in helping us pull it off. Pros: ALL-U-Can-Eat, Great Food, XLNT Desserts Cons: Fri & Sat=Crowded, Feb 14=very crowded, makes you fat more

great for meat lovers 1/3/2003

This place is pretty good.. just be ready to load up on meat cuz the salad bar is just there to waste your money! Pros: great meat Cons: expensive more

Bring on the Beef 12/31/2002

Excellent Meat, but go very hungry, and pace yourself, don't fill up on the salad bar. more

I over-ate 11/11/2002

Some of the meat was better than others. I loved it but filled up on the fabulous salad bar. Hold out for the meat! Cons: too much food more

Go Hungry!! 10/14/2002

My stomach starts to ache at the thought of Fogo de Chao... I can never seem to painlessly get away with completely gorging on an incredibly unhealthy amount of the best red meat! The lamb is exquisite and I cant rave about the desserts enough particularly the flan. Pros: excellent food, great service, wonderful desserts more

WOW 10/6/2002

Fogo De Chao is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere feels like a steakhouse, and the food is stellar. The salad bar has an eclectic taste, carrying everything from sun-dried tomatoes to salami to cured salmon. The meats... well, lets just say its a carnivore's paradise. Everything from bacon-wrapped filet mignon to pork ribs to lamb chops, all cooked to perfection. Its definitely worth the $38.50 you pay per person. I couldnt recommend it more highly. Pros: good value, wide selection, service Cons: sometimes crowded, self-parking more

Cynderilla 9/3/2002

My husband loves this place. It is a meat lovers heaven; it is an all you can eat meat carnival. To get your money worth, skip breakfast. more

The Best Brazilian 8/29/2002

This is maybe pricy but it's worth it. The salad bar is impossible to describe but don't eat too much, leave something for the entree. With the deliciouse food, drinks and the best service it should be the best restaurant in town. more

Awesome! 8/20/2002

The presentation is unbelievably appetizing, yet it still does not measure up to the actual flavor of the meal. Be prepared to eat. You will not want to pass up anything. The serivce is great. Chances are that anything you want will get to your table before you even know you want it. It is best to make a reservation. Pros: Food, Service, Presentation Cons: Crowded more

Not just for carnivours 8/6/2002

Everyone raves about the meat here, which is fantastic, however one could graze on the salad bar alone and be in heaven. This is NOT your typical salad buffet - sparkling fresh fruits and veggies, mountains of cheeses, magnificent salads...I could go on and on. Even your vegan friends would love this aspect of Fogo de Chao. Postscript: the bar serves fabulous, generous drinks. Pros: Pristine salad bar, Prime meats, Attentive service Cons: Can be frenetic more

Touch of Class 7/29/2002

Go to this resturant if you are hungry, and love a variety of meats. You also may run into someone famous or a prior President. more

Carnivoretopia 7/22/2002

This is not the place where to take your vegetarian friends. This place is all about delicous meat. The salad bar is quite good, fresh mozzarella, marinated asparagus, and much more. Everything on the salad bar is top notch and high quality. All meals come with the best pop overs, fried polenta, and fried bananas. The gaucho servers will fill your plates continuously with some of the best grilled meat. Much better than Radizio Grill, higher quality of meats, brighter decore, and better service. If you are a meat lover this is the place to go. Cons: can get very crowded, make reservations! more

Don't eat the salad... 7/5/2002

...save room for the MEAT! We went at lunch and everything about the experience was excellent. My favorites were the bacon-wrapped filet and the top sirloin. They also had duck, lamb, chicken...everything they served was so juicy, tender and tasty it melted in your mouth. The service was exceptional too. Every table gets plantains, rolls, polenta and mashed potatoes. If anything sits for more than 10 minutes...they take it away and bring back some fresh from the over. Truly outstanding service. Pros: good for large groups, free valet parking, MEAT Cons: expensive more

The ultimate in decadence 6/16/2002

This was a great experience . Quite possibly our best dinner experience in awhile . When you want to sit and talk or try new dishes it is simply up to you . But be ready because when you ask them to serve the entree it comes fast , hot , and sliced right before your eyes . Pros: freshness, different tastes Cons: parking more
