Couldn't Be Happier 12/1/2010

We've had many dogs through our home over the past 15 years, some as permanent members of our family and some passing through on their way to their forever homes. The great vets at FAH have provided each with exceptional medical care, and they've done so in a caring and thoughtful manner that I really appreciate. The staff are friendly and highly competent, and make our visits as pleasant as possible. We live a good 45-minute drive away, but it's well worth the travel time. more

Pet friendly place 8/22/2010

Given this place is an animal hospital and should be a pet friendly place, some places aren't and this place truly is. They have separate entrances for dogs and cats and the front desk staff are always attentive and friendly. I like the fact that the place is family owned. more

The Best! 2/5/2010

I have had only good experiences at Florissant Animal Hospital. I cannot recommend them enough. I had to bring my pet there on emergency and Dr. Kuhn missed his dinner break and he and another vet stayed after hours to do surgery on my dog (Alfie had been hit by a car). They saved his life. more

Awful 2/3/2010

My family has taken our pets there since we moved to Florissant about 10 years ago. About a year ago, we took my dog Cabo there after his condition was further deteriorating (he had liver disease). After making a very painful and agonizing decision to put him down, the vet basically rushed us forward. They were incredibly rude and really didn't even give us a chance to say goodbye to him. My mom was crying and the receptionist kept bluntly asking how we were going to pay (we'd barely made it into the lobby). Now that I've moved out and have two dogs of my own I will never go back there. I've been going to Howdershell and they're much more caring and friendly. more

Florissant Animal Hospital is Very Compassionate and Thorough Staff 1/6/2010

We have been with this hospital for many years. We had 2 cats and used this facility for all their pet care throughout their lives. We also currently have a dog and a new cat that visit this facility. We even took our gerbil here. Throughout every interaction with the numerous staff members at this facility, we and our pets have been shown nothing but compassion and competent care for our pets. I highly recommend this facility. more

Wont be back... 7/8/2008

We have used this clinic for 7 years. They for the most part have been good, a few missed vaccinations that required return visits for a few pets, but mostly good. Yesterday was a different story...our 5 yr old boxer was rushed there after spending the night at the emergency clinic. We called ahead to make sure a vet was available as he was deteriorating in the car. The receptionist/tech's got him out of the car and took him in but instructed us to go home. We balked stating we wanted to talk to a vet to which we were told there were none there but his case was assigned to the vet that had seen him most often. On our way out we got the call from the vet rudely stating she didnt have time to reveiw his chart from the emergency clinic and that if we wanted to see him alive to get back now. He died just before we returned. We are there with his body for only 2 minutes when Vet begins to ask about how to dispose of his body and recommends a mass/community cremation. I was horrifie more

Saved our dogs life!! 5/22/2007

Our dog was hit by a car. The staff was very friendly and caring. We are greatful that they saved our dogs life. I would recommend to others to take your pets here. more

Its the best 9/16/2006

My family has had 3 Pomerianians and we have taken all 3 of them to the FAH.\r We have been going to the FAH since 1966. Everyone is awsome, the Drs. are great and the staff. We go to Dr. Parr and she is fantastic. We feel like we are part of a family. Also the groomers are A+... PROS: wonderful people, clean, waiting area for dogs and cats CONS: none more

Very Good! 8/5/2006

We adopted a kitten from the SPCA and she had died within 36 hours, (before our appointment here at the Animal Hospital). What we did not know however was that she was dead, apparently when kittens(I don't know if all animals do this) they still flinch and make meow sounds. We thought she was sick, and had maybe broken her neck. We rushed her to the FAH where the staff immediately saw her. They were compassionate, and professional. I would recommend this place to anyone I know. more

great full service vet care 7/6/2006

I love Florissant animal hospital! They have great vets on staff, pleasant receptionists, I can always get an appointment for a sick pet, and regular appointments are availabe withing two weeks. I have cats and sometimes dogs so the separate waiting rooms are a plus. There is also a kennel service availabe for their patients where they do a great job with the pets. I have used kennels where I got my pets back neurotic, but they are always happy and calm after a stay there. Another plus is that there is a groomer on staff and pet supplies are available as well. PROS: separate waiting rooms, one stop pet services CONS: can't make a left into their lot from northbound Lindbergh, u-turn at light more

Outstanding and Reasonable Veterinary Care 11/26/2005

As the owner of both cats and a dog, I have found the care at Florissant Animal Hospital to be very good. They are very knowledgeable and reasonable in cost. They do not try to sell you unnecessary items which has happened to me at other facilities. more

caring vets that take good care of your pet 11/25/2005

We have had several dogs and always take them to these vets, not only for emergencies, but for routine checkup and shots. They also have staff for grooming, so you can make one trip and get alot done. I recommend them. PROS: caring vets, one stop for vet and grooming CONS: busy on the weekends more
