Floor Coverings International of Monmouth County, NJ were great. I had them come two Decembers ago, and we still have the floor they put in. We even went to a local home expo and were hoping we'd see Jerry there.
I only have one complaint. I don't like bartering, but the price they quoted us ended up being a good deal higher than the price we ended up paying. That leaves a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. Also, they don't do toilet stuff, so I had to have a plumber come in who wanted to overcharge. I ended up just pulling the toilet out myself.
But their workmanship is outstanding, they're really nice people, and I really can't say anything bad about them or their work. The vinyl floor they put in looks almost exactly like hardwood. People have come into my house and said, "Oh my God, you got wood!" and we say nope, it's vinyl. Even the plumber came in one time and was giving us advice about possible flood damage to our hardwood, and I say, "It ain't wood, it's vinyl."
It's a tremendous floor for our two dogs and eat-in kitchen. My only complaint about it is that they say to only use their product for cleaning it, so we bought the kit with the cleaner and liquid to bring the shine back, and I hate having all these different products.
The workmanship's just out of this world, though. They had two men come in. One worked on each side of the room and they never spoke to one another, but they managed to meet up perfectly in the center. They also recommended we run it length-wise after we initially considered doing it width-wise, and he was so right. Now we look at it and can tell it's really nice this way.
