Great Steakhouse 10/7/2010

I have gone to Flemings numerous times. I still enjoy it. But I think that is has declined somewhat. They used to give fresh vegetables for a free appetizer now all they give is bread. The steaks are great. My favorite is filet mignon. Also, highly recommend the chocolate lava cake, but split it. more

WOW.... What a Surprise!! Awesome! 1/24/2009

I was really taken back by the very professional servce....... Wow !! in the valley you rarely find a manager working the room, Here it seemed as if he knew every guest... we were first time dinners and he stopped by and talked to us like we were long lost friends! Food was super... They have this New Prixe Fix Menu... and ususlly that kind of stuff does not intrest me, but WoW what a great selection. Our server was spaectacular and we will help spread the word on this coperate gem! Again I try to find the smaller locations to dine instead of the corperate monsters, but this has really changed my mind!! Great Job Flemings! more

Five Star Service from beginning to end 8/24/2008

I made a reservation online and had noted my husband's birthday. When we got there, the door was opened for us and we were warmly greeted by the manager and the hostess. We were seated immediately and our waiter came over within a minute and started off by thanking me by name for making the reservation. We loved the complimentary champagne brie spread and we enjoyed everything we ate... everything was absolutely delicious and piping hot! My son and mother had the scallops .. so tender they melted in your mouth, while my husband and I had steaks (filet for me, ribeye for him). The steaks were cooked perfectly and the side orders were to die for. The Flemings potatoes are highly recommended! The onion rings were HUGE and the best I ever had in my life (and somehow not greasy)! The mac-n-cheese and mushrooms were also very tasty. The service was impeccable. As soon as we finished a dish, it was removed. My husband left the table and immediately someone rushed over and re-folded his napkin. Our waiter tended to our every need, made suggestions and even brought over a pair of reading glasses for my mom to better see the menu. To our suprise, for dessert, our waiter brought over a chocolate lava cake with a candle. As soon as we dug in, chocolate came ooozing out --delicous! If that weren't enough, our waiter told my husband Happy Birthday and handed him a box of chocolate covered strawberries. We left full, happy and planning to come back for the next birthday (mine!) Be prepared to pay 5 star prices, but it's soooo worth it! Pros: Delicious food and 5 star service Cons: Valet only and meal price should be rated higher than ""$$"" more

Outstanding 8/22/2008

Took my husband to Flemings for his birthday and we had the best time. Crab cakes were delicious. Pros: Food and Service Cons: Had to pay to park more

Really, Really, Really, Good! 7/7/2008

Before I say anything about the food, if you just want to go have a glass of wine and some cheese, you'll be happy. They have 100 wines by the glass! Food was outstanding. My husband and I shared the lobster tempura. Unreal. Our NY steaks were cooked perfectly. Tons of flavor. Lastly the lava cake was so rich we could barely finish. Can't say enough about how good the food and service was. Will definitely be back. Pros: Steaks and wine list Cons: Not many... more

Ridiculously Good!! 6/10/2008

Last week my wife and I made our first visit to Flemings in Woodland Hills and I must say that we were blown away. The waiter was personable but not pushy. The wine list was gigantic and unlike most high end restaurants, there were quite a few deals. As a wine lover I can appreciate that. She brought a really nice decanter to open up the wine and let it breath. Nice touch. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the crab cake appetizer was the best I have ever had. The manager was also nice enough to come by and say hello. Definitely a great experience. We'll be back. Pros: Wine list and steaks Cons: Dessert list was just average more

Not there best performance... 6/9/2008

Generally speaking this restaraunt used to be one of our family favorites. The food is very good quality and the ambience is quite nice. However the last three visits have been disappoining so we felt it necessary to share at this point... Pros: food Quality Cons: Management personability and vision for ""customer service"" more

just okay 5/30/2008

This is supposed to be a steakhouse so you'd assume the steaks would be great. The steaks were the least favorite part of our meal. They weren't very flavorful. The Chipotle Mac and Cheese was really good and so were the martinis. It looks like they spend more effort on the side items then on the steaks. The atmostphere was nice but it is pretty loud and it was hard to hear what our waitress was saying. Also this has a $$ rating ($21-30) which we thought was too low. The entrees alone are $30-45 and everything is a la carte. We each got two steaks, one drink and one side and it over $100. Pros: service pretty good, drinks, side items(although pricy) Cons: noisy, tasteless steaks more

best steaks in the city 1/18/2008

If you are after a great steak, this is the place. The service was friendly and professional. The bartender made the best martini we have found in the valley. The wine list is fairly extensive with some very good vintages. The decor is unimpressive. The main room can be noisy but they have a smaller room that is cozy and much quieter. Pros: steaks, drinks, service Cons: can be a bit noisy when full more

the most unique and friendly place ever 9/28/2007

If you're looking for a nice place to dine with a upbeat yet sophisticated atmosphere, this is the place to go. From the host's that greet you with smiling faces the second you walk in, to the thourough servers who answer just about any question you could ask, and give their 110% to making your dining experience as good as it gets! Their food is the ""melt in your mouth"" kind of food, that makes it hard to set down your fork, and not to forget their generous selection of wine, by the glass and the bottle. If you're looking for a nice place to celebrate an occasion, or just someplace to hang in the bar and have a few drinks with friends, this place definately accomodates all needs. My experience at flemings only made me want to return time and time again to come. Pros: nice suddle atmosphere more

Horrendous Dining Experience 9/3/2007

We made a reservation, arrived on time and were seated. From that point forward the evening was horrible. Our wait person took our drink orders and then did not return for 15 minutes (we were there early and at that point only about 1/3 of their tables were full). When the drinks came mine was wrong and after 3 attempts and my offer to order something else they got it right. It was another long delay until our order was taken. During this time we found it almost impossible to speak with each other over the loud music. We saw other tables where people were clearly having trouble conversing over the music. We asked the wait person to turn it down and he said he would ask the manager. Then as time went on the music got louder and the wait person then told us that it was on a sensor and as the noise level of diners increased so did the music volume and he said again he would ask the manager to turn it down. Finally our salads came and at this point the music was almost painful. We asked again and then a manager moved us to a ""private dining room"" in the back where it was not so loud and was filled with others who didn't like the music. We had ordered wine that never came. We asked about it and she said ""oh yes he said you were going to order some - we had, but then ordered it again. This took another 15 or so minutes to arrive. Our entrees arrived and we were then asked if we would like bread - the bread normally delivered with the salads. Our steaks were not properly cooked and one was a wellington with a pastry crust. This came back soggy from the reheat. A manager offered us free desserts since the dough was soggy. I had ordered a second glass of wine that never came so when she came back by I ordered white chocolate godiva instead since I had finished dinner. That came and was a brown color not white and she said the bar tender had put cho syrup in it - not my order. In the end a manager paid our bill, but even so I would NEVER go back! Pros: valet brought car quickly when we finally were finished Cons: Terrible service, mediocre food, unpleasant experience more

Great restaurant for special occasions 8/4/2007

We just celebrated our two-year wedding anniversary in this restaurant last night. Let me just say this: we were treated just like newlyweds! The staff was extremely attentive, we made reservations specifically for the occasion and were taken to a private room surrounded by their wine collection, food was awesome (especially their Fleming's Salad and Creme Brulee). Overall, we had an awesome experience! If you're going to this restaurant for a special occasion, be sure to specify when you make your reservations and they'll make it special for you. Pros: Great food, great service, welcoming atmosphere Cons: None that I could tell more

Best cheese spread ever! 5/1/2007

Last weekend I had dinner at Fleming's. Everything was great, especially the toasts and cheese spreads that come with your dinner. They had a decent selection of wines. Some were over priced and some were even under priced. The deserts were also good. The steak was good, but not great. The quality of the steak was fine, but the seasonings could have been better. The sauce was wonderful. Overall it was a great experience. The staff could not have been nicer. I suggest going early because when it got busy, the service got slower. Pros: Best Cheese Spread Ever! more

Great Steaks! 2/3/2007

This is my first review on a restaurant but after my experience at Fleming's Steakhouse Woodland Hills it has prompted me to write this. more

Just an overall wonderful experience everytime 1/13/2007

Every visit is pure delight! The service is cordial and attentive; glasses are refilled promptly, the table is de-crumbed between courses and all items arrive in perfectly timed fashion. The starter of wine infused cheese spreads is amazing + addictive (and much better than the bread served wth dinner). You cannot go wrong with the prime rib dinner, especially since it includes salad, side and dessert for just under $30. I normally find prime rib too fatty for my tastes and though I've had it at Houston's + Lawry's I've always been disappointed (though this could be just a matter of personal taste). Fleming's cut is lean, large, tender and immensely flavorful. Fave sides are the creamed corn (very rich with a bit of a spicy kick) and grilled asparagus. The crabcakes and calamari are both well seasoned and uniquely tasty and the lava cake dessert served with both ice cream and whipped cream is beyond words good. If you're in the neighborhood don't pass this one up! Pros: Food! Service. Valet parking. Great location across from mall. Cons: Not open for lunch more
