Just wanted to jump on the bandwagon, and sing the praises of Frank Velten. Frank has been our broker for years, and we will never change. Not only has he protected and grown our assets, but he is counted among our friends. He will be the first to tell you how great his staff is, but I will be the second to tell you his assistants, Kelly, Alicea, and Vicki are among the nicest, most professional women we have known. I know that because they frequently call us to see how we are doing, and if we have any questions or need anything. They call us almost as often as our children do (who are also, by the way, happy Velten clients). Instead of going to the big guys that have to sell you their company products, why not try an independent financial broker. He tells you on the first visit not to bring your check book. He gets to know you and what you want out of life. He has rearranged our investments and it hasn't cost us a penny. Update 5.18.06. This gentleman transfered money from my account by mistake. I only found out because it was more than the amount I had in that fund, so it didn't go through. A person from his office contacted me. I asked for Mr. Velten to call me. I left several messages but he never did. I transfered all my husband's and my money to our previous broker. more
