Rented from WCPS in 2010. Happy with service and company. But 18 months later they ran a credit check on me 10/2011. I found it due to credit monitor agency. I called WCPS and was told they had no idea who had done it or that it was run. If someone has the old files you also may be a potential victim. When I asked to talk to a manager I was given the run around and never got to talk to the supervisor. Next call was to Ontario Police Dept. Perhaps WCPS has been hacked or lost some prior client files. more

I really like it when I find a good merchant or company based on internet reviews. I really hate it when a company fakes reviews for themselves. Except for all the high praise here, most of the reviews mention the fake reviews. Here is a review that is obviously fake as it is posted by ""renttoday."" The review is on page 4 of the reviews and it is dated 08/05/09 RENTTODAY.US HAS NEVER LET ME DOWN! by Renttoday at Citysearch Renttoday.us has been managing my homes since 2004. I have 1 home in Corona, 3 homes in Fontana, and they helped me purchase a 4-unit apartment building in Riverside by the college which they manage as well. I found this company through a friend at work who used them to rent out his house. I had just bought a rental and didn't really feel like dealing with the tenants and all their issues, etc. so I thought I would try out a property manager. I was really, really impressed by the level of professionalism I encountered when dealing with Renttoday! They really have their act together and really know what they're doing! They found me a tenant in literally two days which was insane! In fact, it was so fast I wasn't even moved completely out of my house. I don't normally write or even visit review sites but I was compelled to attest to the great service I received at Renttoday.us . I signed up one of the worst properties in my portfolio with them in Santa Ana and they were able to turn it around, get repairs completed, and deal with my quarrelsome tenants all in a matter of a few weeks. This was a task that I couldn't seem to complete myself in over a year since I had purchased this property. I was very impressed and proceeded to have them handle my other 3 homes in Orange County as well as the homes I'm intending to purchase in the next few months. I'm extremely happy with the property management experience I have had thus far with Renttoday.us . I started with them about 2 years ago with just one house and since then I have acquired over 14 homes in my portfolio, 10 of which are managed by Renttoday and very successfully. Many of my homes are in the High Desert area, Orange county, Riverside, and San Bernardino and it seems as though no matter where I buy a property, they have another one close by and are completely familar with the neighborhood, area, comps, etc. I feel very comfortable having them manage my properties and really enjoy the convenience of their service dept. to handle the repair issues. With my previous property management company, their service dept. was not in house and repairs were continually delayed while they outsourced to third party vendors who may or may not have known what they were doing. The customer service is also very consistent and I can always get a live person on the phone or email. They are also one of the most technologically advanced companies I've dealt with period which I greatly appreciate. I would highly reccomend Renttoday.us for property management services to anyone. BUT, although most of the reviews for West Coast Property Specialists or Renttoday.us I'm happy to say are positive AND REAL by the way there are some pesky little ones out there that sneak in from time to time. And, that's going to happen given the nature of our business. Renttoday.us is a property management firm located in Ontario, California. Over the last 10 years, we have managed thousands and thousands of residential homes, condos, townhouses, and apartment buildings for individual owners, investors, banks, and financial institutions. Our business continues to grow every single day mainly from referrals of existing owners and we are very proud and grateful of that. When we take on the management of any property, we sincerely do our very best to provide the highest level of customer service possible and we spend a good majority of our time trying to figure out how to make our services, better, faster, more efficient, and more affordable for our clients whether they be owners or tenants. Since I was going to be out of state I figured my best bet was to look for a company who would take care of everything for me. It's so comprehensive, I hardly had any questions. They even brought up issues that I would never even think about and I actually learned alot that night. I still continued to research other companies but getting information out of them was like pulling teeth. I figured that if they are not forthcoming with sales information which they should want to give out, then how are they going to be with my information. That made me concerned. I called Renttoday and talked to a rep there and he was down at my house the same day. We went over my house, he took pictures, and in a matter of 45 minutes everything was done, finalized, and completed. That night, my house was listed on their website and about 3 weeks later I had a tenant moving into my place. It was really amazing and I recommend this company to everyone who needs this type of service. Truly excellent business. I'm a real estate investor and have been buying homes and rehabbing them for over 5 years now. I have two homes in Fontana, 4 homes in Rancho cucamonga, 1 property in Chino, and 4 in the high desert. Most of these properties are single family homes. In the past I had tried to manage properties myself but it was always such a hassle dealing with the tenants, the non-payments, their excuses, etc. I'm not the best at confrontation and they often walked all over me sad to say! I was never really good at taking a strong line when tenants had sad stories to tell even when I knew it probably was not true. Almost every month at least one of my tenants would have some serious medical issue or a family member die, it was getting really ridiculous. I sometimes would have my husband take over for me but he's so busy as well with his company that we just didn't have the time or expertise. I hired WCPS and everything really turned around for my properties. Three tenants who had not paid in months were all evicted in about 4 weeks and my other two chronic late payers snapped into shape in a matter of a few months with their constant contact. When the tenants moved out, the company completed all the rent ready work so quickly and nicely I really didn't have to lift a finger. I actually had time to go to the mall once or twice when normally I would have been at the property every weekend either waiting on vendors or trying to save money and do some things myself which would never come out quite as I had hoped. Also, I had researched many other companies and for the price, WCPS offered so much more. Not only that but their website is amazing. I was traveling in Belize for business and I was able to log on every night and check the status of my vacant home, see inquiries, see applications being processed and the minute the home was leased I got an auto generated email to my blackberry....now that's real time service. All of this without having to make lengthy phone calls, leave voice mails, etc. Love it. No other company had the technology that this company has. I really appreciate all they have done for my portfolio and would recommend them to other investors without a doubt. I have to say that I really love Renttoday.us and I'm not just saying that because they asked me to write a review. I probably would have posted one anyway since I enjoy writing about companies, restaurants, hotels, or whatever I happen to experience. Anyway, I'm a journalist and I'm away on assignment quite often and sometimes I'm out of the country. I had the bright idea of purchasing two 8 unit complexes in Fontana for investment purposes thinking it would be a simple deal and maybe fun to talk with the tenants, do some painting once in a while, collect the rent - Boy, was I wrong! Almost every tenant of mine was a complete nightmare and they took advantage of my niceness and ignorance to no end. I was really quite a mess when I finally came in contact with Renttoday.us! But, they did not bat an eyelash at my predicament and came in and took over like pros. I had 3 vacant units, one in evictions, and two that were late on their rent. I even had suspected some shady dealings going on in one of the units. In about 3 months, Renttoday had my 8 units in ship shape and all leased and generating income. It was actually incredible! It's been over a year now since that crazy time and things are still trucking along famously. I really would like to thank Renttoday for taking an enourmous burdeon off my shoulders and taking care of business professionally and quickly. It's funny that there are so many positive reviews that are obviously all FAKE and written by the employees of the company. Other REAL people who have actually used the services of this company have already called them out on it. Anyway, we owned a property and enlisted the services of WCPS / RentToday to find a tenant and manage the property. We used them for one year and then dropped them as soon as our contract was up. Initially when they came out to take a look at our property and have us sign the paperwork they were very pleasant and seemed like they would do a good job for us. But once we signed on, everything changed. When I would try and call the office with questions or simple requests they would never pick up the phone. I would have to call 4 or 5 times and leave a message before someone would call me back. And then they would deny that receiving my vm messages in the first place. They always sort of had an attitude that made me feel like they were doing me a favor by returning my calls or answering my question. The worst part of it is, when my tenant decided to break their lease and informed WCPS of it, WCPS didn't even let us know! They waited about a month and then sent us an email saying basically ""oops we didn't tell you last month when your tenant informed us of this, but your tenant is moving out next week. We're going to set up ads to list your property and you will have to pay an additional fee for that."" no apology, nothing. Anyway don't be fooled by how nice and caring they come across in the initial meeting. Things will quickly change once you sign them on as your property managers. Also, the positive reviews that are posted here seem so obviously fake. if you google reviews for them on other websites, you will see several positive reviews all posted within one to two months of eachother. Bottom line is, don't fall for their sales pitch (or the fake glowing reviews here either). These are the rudest, most dishonest and incompetent property managers I have ever used. I have been renting from Renttoday for about 2 years now and am about to move out of my home in Rancho. I have found this company to always be very attentive to my needs and they have promptly taken care of any major issues that I've experienced with my home. My best experience was finding the house initially. The application process was free and I was able to see the home that same day! I'm standing right now in the lobby of the Ontario Renttoday.us office and have just signed a lease for a home in Rancho Cucamonga. They asked me to write a positive review as they do of many of their new and existing clients and I was more than happy to oblige. My family and I had to move abruptly from our home due to a foreclosure. It was a very unfortunate situation that I hope most people do not have to experience but it happened to us and we are trying desperately to move forward with our lives. We were lucky enough to find a great house that was very close to our old house and it was in an area that my kids could still stay in thier schools and our lives didn't have to be completely disrupted. This home was represented by Rent today and I called them to find out all the information. Initially, I was hesitant because of my credit due to the foreclosure. Other companies had been very rude and judgemental and I was turned down before for an apartment! Our family really wanted to rent a house and we weren't exactly sure how that was going to happen. Anyway, I spoke with the offiec and they were very nice. They patiently explained to me the process and what i need to do to be considered, which I did right away. I applied on-line and it was free for one thing which was great. I faxed in my paystbus for my husband and I and in just 48 short hours we were signing a lease. THe leasing agent was so nice and she took her time to explain the whole contract, we were very happy! When other companies wouldn't work with us renttoday was able to look past unfortunate circumstances and see the good people who we are. My partners and I decided to start investing in residential housing about 3 years ago. Initially, we bought about 5 houses and decided to do the management portion ourselves thinking that it couldn't possibly be that hard and we were some pretty smart guys. Boy, were we wrong! Pretty much everything that could go wrong did and we ended up wasting so much time and money trying to save money that it was getting ridiculous. First of all, we didn't realize that simply marketing our home was a full-time job. There are so many houses on the market these days that as soon as we posted an on Craigslist or wherever it might be, it was immediately dragged down to the bottom by all the other homes on the market so we literally had to take turns posting ads and creating multiple acconnts just to get a little exposure. Whe we did get some exposure then taking the phone calls with the myriads of repetitive questions was so time consuming, tiring, and truthfully annoying. People ask the dumbest things and will waste your time without batting an eye. We held several ""open houses"" because that's what we thought we were supposed to do and it really did nothing but waste our weekend and let our neighbors check out the home but we didn't lease it this way at all. We also spent many evenings running back in forth doing 30 mile round trips to show the home to people who never called us back or didn't even qualify in the first place. I haven't even touched on the repairs we tried to do ourselves...what a nightmare. My buddy claimed he knew how to do drywall and ended up making a huge mess of our living room walls that we eventually had to have redone. Anyway, the point i'm trying to make by all this is that we finally conceded to having a professional company take over the mess that we left behind and what a great idea that was. After interviewing several companies, we met with a sales rep at Renttoday.us and were thoroughly impressed with thier professionalism, their preparation, and overall knowledge of the industry. It was like they had been doing this for years and I guess because they have. Working with them has been an extremely great experience, I can't recommend them enough to anyone who is thinking about investing in real estate. PLease don't try and manage the home yourself....it's a waste of time!
