Overpriced for a burger place, burger was just ok and fries were horrible. Save your money and go find the Five Guys Burger and Fries around the corner. more

Had the 5 napkin burger! Good burger but the fries were weak! Also tried the Mac n cheese, not so good! For such a small menu you'd think everything would be top notch! The place has great service and a very nice interior! more

Not a good one 2/23/2012

I went to this restaurant several times over the past year. this last time was the worst. My friend and I ordered matzoh ball soup. When it arrived, it smelled awful! what was that smell? VINEGAR! They poured a whole bottle of vinegar into my soup as well as my friend's soup. The waitress was sorry as well as the manager- but the chef should've come to the table to apologize. How does that happen? That's not even an ingredient in the soup! The server (not the waitress) was incredibly sassy. When we asked for ground pepper, he said this isn't a 5 star restaurant you know! He should've noticed that the soup smelled rather potent. To boot, our sushi was awful. I would not recommend this place as each time we have been there something has gone wrong. This one topped it all! more

First the beer selection is the best in Miami. Te appetizers were also good along with great service. The staff was friendly and made the time to talk to us. But the entree's we not that good. Deff not as good as zen burger out in Arizona. Price was fair so don't let all those naysayers lie. more

After writing to the corporate office of 5 Napkin, a nice representative contacted me and made arrangements for complimentary dinner for two. Apparently the entire kitchen staff was replaced due to many complaints. We ordered appetizers: Vegetable Roll and Sushi Platter - both were good. For entrees we ordered Steak Frites and Grilled Thai Marinated Salmon - both were adequate. The bearnaise was a bit weak and somewhat tasteless. For dessert we ordered a Cookies N' Cream shake (not very thick, foamy) and some sort of double fudge brownie concoction that was good. I give 5 NB credit for following up on a customer complaint but overall for the price and value I can only give 5NB a fair rating. For a restaurant chain that received accolades in New York from Zagat, Time Out NY, and New York Post, etc., it sure hasn't lived up to it down in South Beach. For burgers which are 5NB's signature entrées, it is way down the list of places for burgers on SoBe. Try 8oz Burger Bar and Burger & Beer Joint for better burgers and better prices. more

On Sunday, November 20th, I ate lunch with friends at the 5 Napkin Burger Lincoln Road location for the first time. I ordered the Bacon Cheddar Burger rare but it came well-done. On the reorder same thing - a hockey puck. On the 2nd reorder it was still mooing. The waitress was truly embarrassed when I showed her the raw hamburger. Finally on the 3rd reorder it was cooked perfectly.\r \r \r \r So to sum up - 4 hamburgers to get what I ordered. This is not a good experience for a first time customer. I found it strange that the manager never came out to apologize or offer a comp. This is not good business practice for keeping customers or having them pass on good compliments.\r \r \r \r Based on this experience I cannot recommend 5 Napkin Burger to friends. I'm sure they would not be impressed with my story. more

We have been 3 or 4 times for the 'happy hour': Monday through Friday 4-7 and 10 to close. The beers are $4... great selection, and exceptional wings for 50 cents. Sliders, mini tacos, sushi, all for $2. It's a great place to bring friends, sit at the bar, and grab some quick delish bites. more

The service was great, it was a Monday and not many people there but still exceptionally fast service and a good waiter. You MUST have their spinach dip, it is amazing! They use pepperjack cheese, the waiter told me, but it's not spicy, it's just delicious. I've never had such a yummy dip. The fish tacos are too spicy for me, I had to return the dish and settled for fish & chips. The fish was too greasy, I really didn't like it. You could barely taste the fish under the grease. Their fries were very yummy. And their tater tots are not your average tater tots, they were very good but not the tater tot we expected to get. more

Firstly they Need to change the picture on urban spoon. It looks like a deformed turtle. the 5 napkin burger joint is pretty good. Its burger was fresh with great toppings. The staff was friendly and the decor was cool- like a comfy butcher shop with light bulbs hanging where meat hooks should be. I've heard the shakes are great but I didn't get one because i had to walk and I only drink alcohol when I drive because it's safer. This place is ten times better than this place Grindhouse in Atlanta- which is the worse burger spot in the country. more

The reason this place doesn't get a 1-star is because of the beer selection, which was excellent. They have a lot of beers that you cannot find anywhere, so that's a plus. However, they are horrifically overpriced, as is just about everything else on the menu.\r \r The food, on the other hand, was anything but excellent. Obviously things are going to be more expensive because you are in South Beach, but this place takes overpriced to a whole new level. I went with 2 other people and they both felt the same way. I ordered the Original 5 Napkin burger, which was terrible. The 5 Napkin sauce was this sweet, gob of a mess. It does not belong anywhere near a burger, much less on it. We also had the Lobster Rolls, which were alright, but for only getting 3 little mini-sandwiches for $19.50, again, it was terribly overpriced. The other person I was with ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger, and he told me that he'd rather have a burger from Shake Shack and save the money.\r \r The Spinach and Artichoke dip was pretty good, but certainly not worth price that you pay for it (~$9) since they only give you so little of it. The Tuscan Fries were good as well, but not worth $4.25 for the little amount that they gave you. This also brings up another pet peeve of mine. The burgers are large, yes, but they do NOT come with any side items (fries, etc.) so you have to order some if you want them. Keeping in mind that the burgers are at least $10, if you want sides you then have to order a side (the cheapest one being about $3-4) so by the time you do that, you're already in the hole about $15, which is ridiculous.\r \r Additionally, we ordered the Smores shakes at the end of the meal and they were actually the highlight of the meal. They were excellent and I would definitely go back to only order that. \r \r Again, I would rather go to a million other burger places before I'd ever step foot back in 5NB again. What a waste of money. Without drinks, the meal would have cost $80, which is insane for a "burger joint." Do yourself a favor - save the money and go somewhere else where the food is actually worth the over-charge. more

Nice Decor - very comfortable and casual. Drinks were solid - my chocolate / peanut butter shake was AWESOME and my wife's bloody mary was good as well. I would say the burgers are decent - although i prefer 8 oz and Shake Shack but the food and atmosphere here is world's better than Burgers N Beer. There burgers are thicker in nature versus my preference for thinner ones - but that's my personal preference. As for sides - the sweet potato fries were solid, but not spectacular and my wife was a little disappointed in the onion rings. While we just ordered burgers, the menu is pretty robust - so you can get a variety of things even sushi . Generally solid, but not spectacular other than the shakes. more

Nice place, food is decent, but its way over price for what you get! I ordered the fish tacos as an entree, it looked like it came as appetizer, and it cost 13.50! My friend got the burger and both of us were not impressed. If you want better burgers for the price, go to burgers and beers! All in all lunch for 2 , with sodas almost 45 bucks!! Food was not worth that much! more

I went last night for the Grand Opening, i was expecting a 5 guys style joint. i was SUPER surprised to see how nice the place was. I ordered the 5 napkin burger and seasoned fries. When my food was brought over they "accidently" also brought us an order of the onion rings. THANK YOU god! Between the amazing 5NB, onion rings and the seasoned fries, i thought i had died and gone to heaven. THIS is the reason i love burgers! My personal believe is that everyone should have a bite of this burger before they die. more
