Good Seafood 3/20/2008

Perched out over Lake Hamilton its a great location with good seafood. The outdoor deck is shaded with lots of fans. Its also where a lot of families with kids sit so the kids can toss food to the Lake turtles. Portions are good sized and arrive fairly quickly. Its one of the better places around Hot Springs. more

A fun place to eat. 6/19/2006

I am really not a huge fan of seafood, however, I am always very happy with my experiences. I really enjoy the Shrimp Jammers and hands-down this place has the best fillet in Hot Springs. As for the decor, it IS kitchy and over the top, and it's just plain fun. If you a looking to try out the new tuxedo or practice sitting at attention, this ""ain't"" the place. If you want to enjoy a good meal in a relaxed casual joint, this is it. As for the waitresses, just because they happen to be georgous doesn't make it a T & A show! You see more skin at the local grocery store! And my husband loves to be served by nice, pretty ladies! Pros: Great food, Fun location, Sweet servers Cons: Kinda small, a little pricey. more

One of the few restaurants I would recommend 9/18/2005

After reading the negative reviews of Fisherman's Wharf I've come to the conclusion that the author's are either jealous of the success of Fisherman's Wharf or are eating at the wrong reestaurant. My dining experience was wonderful. The food was nothing short of delicious, both steak and seafood, and the service was worthy of a heafty tip. The staff were extremely efficient, pleasant and appropriately attired. I highly recommend Fisherman's Wharf to satisfy anyone's craving for a fine dining experience. And to the people who wrote the negative reviews, I recommend you try it again. This time get the right restaurant. It's located on Highway 7 south, just over the bridges. You can't miss it. It's the restaurant that is soo packed you might not find a parking space. Pros: Great Food, Reasonable Price, Good Service Cons: Too Crowded, Hard to find parking more

COULDN'T ASK FOR A BETTER DINING EXPERIENCE 9/11/2005

My family and I have been frequenting here for a few years now and have enjoyed it every time. The service is great, their more than willing to do whatever it takes to make your dining experience enjoyable. We love the atmosphere, especially the deck. Our kids love feeding the fish and it's safe!! For big groups this is definately the place to go. Not many places can accommadate for 20-30 people on a busy Saturday night at the last minute. You may have to wait a little but they will surely get you in! The food is way better than Red Lobster! I like my food with flavor thank you. In response to the negative reviews: It's obvious they come from one person/restaurant considering all their best picks are the same restaurant. If Fisherman's Wharf's food, atmosphere, and service are so bad then why are they packed every weekend? Pros: reasonably priced, atmosphere, service more

If you love a chain restaurant - rush here! 8/10/2005

Great service?! Slapping food in front of me in 15 minutes is not great service. Our waitress had on clothes too tight for her and the blouse was dirty and stained, is she preparing food in the kitchen? The crabcake was fair at best with too much filler although the oysters my companion ordered were fine. My broiled scallops were brought lukewarm, and overcooked into chewy rubber balls! The roll accompanying the food needed to be heated in an oven as it was chewy and bland. My companions fried shrimp and catfish was overcooked to a deep brown and I love getting sauces in plastic cups with lids (wrong!) Yes it is great for kids with TVs all over, but the air conditioner couldn't keep up with the crowd. If you are used to chains this will WOW you, but for better quality food and service go to Red Lobster! Pros: on the lake, large deck Cons: poor quality food, too contrived ambienc more

Great! Service, Food and Atmosphere!!!! Right on the lake the kids love feeding the fish. Friendly staff and excellent service great food .... how could you ask for more! Pros: Great Food, Great Service, Fun Atmosphere Cons: can't think of any more

FANTASTIC! 7/26/2005

The food here is wonderful! Friendly helpful staff, tasty food, beautiful view, and fun decorations (my daughter loves the lobsters on the wall)! I would reccomend this place to anyone coming to Hot Springs. We were able to get in, seated and eating in less than 15 minutes on a busy Saturday night! Very prompt waitresses, and the owner even came out to see how we were doing. I was very impressed, and will definitely return again. Pros: Food, Service, View Cons: None, At, All more

Great Setting 5/16/2005

Probably my favorite restaurant in the Hot Springs araea. The food is good and reasonbly priced, but the real selling point is the setting. They are right on the water. It is great to sit on their deck and relax after a day on the lake. Pros: Setting, price more

Mish-Mash of everything 6/23/2004

The overdone decor doesn't even match the area or menu. It belongs in New England, but not a catfish house. The food is almost all overcooked, with dried out fish, rubbery scallops and chewy tough steaks. The cole slaw has mango? in it, an attempt at what I don't know. The crab cake is more like crab stuffing fried in a patty. This shows how a restaurant relies on the setting, but provides a less than rewarding experience. Gorgeous view, very so-so food, kitschy decor and service rated solely on speed. Many servers have dirty clothes (from wiping hands on them) and the girls are more a T & A show that experienced. Pros: View, Deck Cons: , Ambience, Service more

All Hype 5/26/2004

Overdone interior with a bunch of seafaring artifacts having nothing to do with the area! Waitresses couldn't wear tighter clothing, it's basically a T & A show. The menu is huge, the deck is newly expanded, herd the masses in. It's all too much! The food was so overcooked that the fish was chewy, the scallops like rubber balls and the crab stuck to the shell inside. The little salt potatoes were brown inside?! If you like the hype, and like fish cooked til it is unedible this is your place. Otherwise go to Red Lobster. Pros: Sits on Lake Cons: , Employee Appearance, Poor Food Quality more
