While our options were fairly expensive the view is fantastic and every dish was good and as advertised. Our waiter was upfront about what was good and he was spot on. I doubt you will do better in Cannery Row.\r ! more

Awesome view of Monterey Bay looking at Salinas I believe it is. Food is fresh, and I love to start things with a Calamari. Plenty to do on this street as well. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is at the end of the street. more

Worked late and stopped down at Cannery Row for some seafood. A lot of places closed at 9 pm Hopper was still open. Got a nice Mojita from the bartender and asked him what the best fish on the menu was..... HALIBUT... FRESH TODAY...\r \r Took that reccomendation hook, line and sinker....\r Prices on the whole Cannery Row area are higher....Some worth it some NOT. These guys could be a little cheaper....but still good Pros: nice location, good service and no wait Cons: $ more

Not worth the price 5/14/2008

I have gone to the Fish Hopper many times over the years. I just recently took my family on 05/10/08. The prices have gone way up, and the food is not like it use to be. Plates here average 20-40 dollars, which I am more then willing to pay; however, not for something that taste like something that came from Sizzlers. Fish Hopper definately has the best Clam Chowder, but that is the extent. This place always has a waiting time of over an hour. They have a reputation of sqeezing as many people in as possible; so you may be stuck with a corner or a small table that only fits 4 when your a party of 6. The service is nothing great. If you are planning on paying out the pocket for a romantic dinner this is not the place for you- try The Chart House. I have more

Very great food! Yet very pricey! 9/23/2007

It has wonderful food and the clam chowder is my favorite. Great scenery and place too. I will go back again but it was OK. I am not very fond of it. This is my opinion so you may have a different one! Pros: Food and ambience and service Cons: everything else more

What did we expect? 11/2/2006

Being stuck in a tourist locale like Cannery Row is a lot like being on a ski montain with only the overpriced burgers in the snack bar for sustenance. The Fish Hopper is one of those places that lures you in with glitz and location and full page ads in the local dining guides- and then nails you with prices to pay for it all. Overpriced, overhyped, and a poor value.Our waitress seemed intent on getting us to order the even more audaciously-priced specials. Pass. Pros: Ocean view, variety Cons: Price and value more
