My son was driving my car on the bridge and it just quit running. He called me at work and had the car towed to Firestone. I went by after work to see what needed to be done and was presented with a bill of $900+. I am the owner of the vehicle and was never conculted. Someone asked my son, a minor, if he wanted them to fix the car and he said "I guess so". I told them I never authorized the repairs and didn't have the money. They 'refigured' the bill and came down to $800. My other son had previously taken his car in for an oil change and was told the car was dangerous to drive and needed new ball joints at a cost of $2,000.00! I took the car to another repair garage, was told only 2 needed to be replaced, and the cost was $400.00. My family has learned another very expensive lesson... do not even have your car towed into their parking lot!!!
