Guy who runs this place, Jay Peloquin, is so rude, arrogant, and narcissistic I don't know how he's still in business or working there! Avoid this place.

Simple and hassle-free 2/12/2014

Fireside Designs gave me an excellent experience from beginning to end. Everything went on schedule and within my budget. The employees who helped install my fireplace were fast, efficient, and professional. Jay and his workers were personable, conscientious, and very hardworking. They also cleaned up really well and left no mess whatsoever. I'll definitely be calling them again when I need to for any other fireplace needs I have. more

I have recommended Fireside Designs to other people several times. First of all, they were pretty fast. Secondly, they just did a good job. They went in there, installed the self-lighting pellet stove, got it going, and showed me exactly what I needed to do. It was all great. more

It's the best bang for your buck for a pellet stove! 12/18/2013

Fireside Designs installed a new Harman v68 stove for me. The installation was perfect! If you're thinking about using them, I would say you should use them. They have a very professional installation crew. It's the best bang for your buck for a pellet stove! more

I had a really great experience with Fireside Designs both in store and in my home installation. They have got a great selection, and the sales representatives have a lot of great advice to share. They were able to talk to me and steer me in the right direction. I didn't feel like there was much waiting around involved. They also weren't pushy. They accommodated my schedule when setting up the installation appointment. The installation itself was quick, so that was good too. My order was meant to come with pellets, but they were out of stock, so they ended up crediting me for the amount of the pellets. I was able to get an alternative product in the end. When I called them after the installation with questions about the product, the person who answered was very knowledgeable and was able to answer everything for me on the spot. I would suggest to anyone to check out Fireside Designs. Talk to the guys there, and if you're interested, they could probably help you out without being pushy at all. more

I got a pellet stove from Fireside Designs. They were really down-to-earth and easy to deal with. They weren't stuck up at all. People tend to overlook you if you aren't dropping a ton of money, but it wasn't like that with their service. more

Very pleased 12/7/2013

We purchased our Vista Flame 170 to heat our 2600 sq ft house and we wanted to put it in our basement, We were advised that an installation on our 1st floor would better meet our needs. That may have been accurate but the stove actually more that exceeded our expectations from the basement. The salesman and the installers were very professional and honest. We needed service at the end of the first burning season (last year) which turned out to be due to inferior pellets and were extremely pleased. I have recommended many friends to Fireside Designs and will continue to because of the outstanding service we have experienced. more

Quick, fast and easy! 12/6/2013

We went to Fireside Designs looking for a pellet stove. We had already gotten a quote from another business, but Fireside Designs was able to do better. In addition to giving us the best price they answered all the questions we had, so we bought the stove from them. A month later we went back and bought another pellet stove for another room in our house. We installed the stoves ourselves. The stoves are very good, and they're doing exactly what they're supposed to do. It's a lot cheaper than buying oil, and they burn really well. They're not messy like wood stoves, and they're easy to clean. We found steel wool is the best for cleaning the stove. We can shut them down, and they cool down in no time. Fireside Designs is closer compared to other places. They answer the questions you have honestly. They held their word on what it was going to be for us, and they loaded up the pellets no problem. If I had to buy another stove, I would go with them. more

Excellent service--covers all aspects 12/5/2013

Worked with Fireside Designs's sales staff in selecting the right pellet stove I wanted to get. They explained in detail about the efficiency, pros and cons--saw both sides of the unit they recommending. I had prices from other vendors and Fireside was competitive. Professional in terms of sales, setting up the appointment, and they kept the time they set the appointment for. Within two or three weeks from when I did the sale, the technicians came to the house and did exactly what they were supposed to do and did a good orientation on how to do maintenance on the stove. If I had any concerns, I could contact them right away. more

Very positive experience. 8/5/2013

There was a piece of door glass in my casting stove that had fractured somehow. We don't know how; it happened over the winter. Our local Vermont casting place was out of business, so I snooped around and found Fireside Designs and called them. There were no problems. They replaced the glass and the gasket for me. It's a bit of a drive. I would have preferred if they were closer (it's about an hour away), but oh well. They were they only game in town. They did good work. I haven't fired up the stove yet, but I'm sure it's fine. They finished it promptly and the price was fair. more

I bought an outdoor grill from Fireside Designs and an outdoor water fountain type of structure. They were very knowledgeable on everything they were trying to sell and didn't try to oversell anything to me. They brought four guys out to deliver the grill. They put it in the right place, explained everything very well, and it was a good product. They were very helpful with it. I've been to a couple of other places and they far exceeded everyone else. more

The product I was given by Fireside Designs was at the lowest price around. The installation turnout was fast. The guys came out, were there for under an hour, and did great work. I have had no problems since. The product is exactly as they described it. more
