My wife and I are local business owners and frequent different restaurants in the desert.
One night we wanted to try the Firecliff and take out a good ""Artist"" friend of ours and his wife for their anniversary.
We reserved a table for four, arrived on time and were seated at our table, we ordered and were served and everything was going fine; as we finished up our dinner we were deciding to order desert, then the ""Manager"" (some miserable mean lady) comes up to us and tells us we would have to leave our table, and move to the bar to finish our meal, she claimed they were really busy and needed the table.
Well, we are all shocked and did not know how to react, due to the embarrassing situation in front of all the other customers, so we got up and decided to leave.
Mind you - I tried to reason with the rude lady on the way out and she just got more adamant, there was no reason for it - we were all well dressed, well behaved, we spent over $300.00.
Later we all kept trying to figure out why she singled out our group, it was because we were the youngest group at the restaurant (mid-thirties -but we appear younger)
and she thought (rightly so) that she could bully us!
CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?
I will never set foot in that place again!
The best part about it all is my wife's business is a high-end hair salon down the street, and all of the operators (sixteen of them) found out about what happened and made a point of telling every single one of their clients about the experience, everybody was appalled!
Think about the horrible word of mouth the restaurant gets, 16 operators service about ten clients per day, you do the math.
To this day this story is ""Legendary"" since it it such a shocking experience and everybody knows our personalities and knows we were innocent victims just trying to treat a good friend to dinner.
When this restaurant eventually fails it can thank its Manager for her professionalism.
Pros: Location, Food was so so
Cons: Rude Manager, Service was Horrible
