Editorial review from Citysearch 8/24/2012

Worst Brazilian steakhouse ever. I rather go to McDonald, this has nothing to do with great places like Texas de Brazil; salad bar they had chunks of cheddar cheese, no cold meats, so spread compared to TdB. And steaks..they were horrible.. more

FOB = FUBAR 12/19/2011

Terrible...just terrible food and service. Second trip for me with clients as I thought my first bad experience could have been an anomaly. Nope....this place really sucks. 1) Both times I've been here I noticed a strong raw sewage smell emanating from the foyer area. This should be your first warning that something is very, very wrong. 2) If I used the words 'utterly inattentive' to describe the tuxedoed flunkies who claim to be servers...it would be a compliment. We had to raise our hands and 'flag' a server for everything from clearing plates, utensils, refills etc.... 3) Salad bar is the only thing about this e-coli trap that I would consider 'C' grade. Think 'Veg-All' salads with bits of obviously left over goat meat. Wilted field greens cheese cubes, tomatoes and 3 nasty foodservice salad dressings for your choosing. After waiting an embarrassingly long time with our cards on Green..we finally waived over one of the Gouchos and asked them to please bring us meat!! Our mistake. Meat #1) I can only describe the ribs as...offensive. I've have West Indian road kill goat that tasted better that whatever this was. So tough that we had to pick them up with our hands and wrastle the sour meat off the bones. Good news is that they are so dry...you wont really make a mess in doing so. Meat #2-4) Sausage = Salt lick. Sirloin = Well done. Flank steak = Goucho splattered blood on my pants and shirt and ran away. Then things really started to go down hill... I handed the manager my card on the way out and asked him to call me (so as to not embarrass him or our clients publicly) and he never did. When I called him back and expressed my dissatisfaction with my $100.00 lunch...he said I should have told him while I was there and he would talk to HIS manager and call me back immediately. Guess who never called me back... more

Much improved since last visit 1/18/2010

On a prior visit in 2009 the meats were often overcooked and the service was less-than-average. So as we were being seated this past Sunday, I told the hostess I wanted meats mostly rare or medium rare cuts..if they couldn't handle it, I'd leave now. She assured me that wasn't a problem. The service was excellent and they brought several excellent cuts of meat -- rump roast was the best of the day, followed by moist bacon-wrapped chicken and flavorful medium/medium-rare lamb. Except for the Parmesan-crusted pork (dry), everything was tasty. Most often the servers would come by my table and say, ""Oh, this is too done for you, I'll bring you some rare cuts in a minute."" Excellent service that day...I tipped nicely and commented to the manager on a great meal. The executive lunch offers only 9 meat choices rather than their usual 13 at dinner, but considering it was only $17.95 plus drinks....Wow! I'll be going back soon. Pros: Great lunch price - excellent value more

Worst Meal Ever 2/5/2009

I am from Sao Paulo and have eaten at the original Fogo de Chao there, as well as their Atlanta, Houston and Dallas locations. GO THERE INSTEAD. My husband, daughter and I ate at the Perimeter location of Fire of Brazil last night and it was horrible. We left and stopped at McDonalds on the corner because we were still hungry. We paid almost $150 and the meat was dry, overcooked and not seasoned at all. I have had beeter steak at Golden Coral. My 6 year old refused to eat the turkey because it was so dry and she'll eat almost anything. The salad bar was a dissapointment, the caipirinha was too sweet and tasted like a margarita. You will be very disappointed with the food, service and drinks. Pros: The were none Cons: everything more

Not authentic. Meat over cooked, salad bar lacking, papaya cream curdled!!! 1/5/2009

This is the worst Brazilian restaurant in Atlanta especially for the cost. The meat selection was scarce, over cooked with no seasoning, the salad bar labels were no help and a wreck and to end the meal the papaya cream was curdling as it was served!!! more

Not worth the money - marginal food, rude staff 1/1/2009

I have been to Fire of Brazil before, so we decided to ring in the new year at the Perimeter location. It was a real disappointment. The food was overcooked, and the gauchos were fairly rude. In addition, the wait staff was indifferent and did not offer the service expected for a $40 price point. I would certainly not recommend this restaurant. Pros: good rolls Cons: bad service, overcooked meat, too expensive for value received. more

A WASTE OF $$ AND TIME/RUDE SERVERS AND GROSS MEAT 12/29/2008

Being a lover of brazilian food and delicious buffet my expectations were really high, just to end really low after a visit for a company lunch. The server was ridicously rude to my 3 year old and myself, not only that but she was mad and had such a bad attitud that everyone was talking about her the following da at work. Only 2 kinds of meat were passed in a 3 hrs course. I have visited most of the brazilian restaurants in Atl and sadly this one can't even be on the list. ""Not kids friendly, rude, slow and unprofessional servers, meats were poorly cooked, salad bar awful and we had to wait for about 20 minutes for the rice, Say what????yes, a brazilian restaurant with no rice for at least 20 minutes...... Pros: nothing Cons: food, uncooked meat, service more

I WON'T GO BACK! 2/15/2008

I was really expecting this restaurant to have great food however I was very surprised at the quality of the meat. Not to mention the meat was all served rare. I love Fogo De Chao but was unable to get reservations there, so my boyfriend decided to take me there for Valentine's Day. The salad bar was decent but the meat was horrible. It was extremely seasonless and was very chewy! The rice was cold and the cheese rolls were like rubber in a ball. The only thing that did impress me was the manager taking half off of our bill since we didn't eat $90.00 worth of food. BTW, the server was very slow and he never did refill my glass the entire time that I was there. And I should have known when the restaurant was half empty something was up. more

pay a little more and go to fogo de chao 9/15/2007

the meat was not tender.. i guess i am spoiled by fogo de chao's attentive service. i felt i was in a cheap spinoff. i will say that t i did enjoy the salad bar better at fire of brazil, but i was ready to eat the meat Pros: salad bar Cons: cheap tasteless meat more

Too bad they close so darn early! 10/29/2006

I love the salad bar here...even better than Fogo in some ways. The meat is good. The cahipriana is a tiny glass mostly full of ice so either request less ice or don't bother. Atmosphere is nice but not really romantic due to bad lighting. Last time I wanted to eat there it was closed before 9 pm! I cannot believe any restaurant would close before 10 but this was ridiculous. Pros: Great Lamb Cons: Tiny drinks and closes way too early more

Great Food and Wonderful Service 8/10/2005

I had lunch at Fire of Brazil with my family on a Sunday and we had a very pleasant experience. The salad bar had a lot of options and the steak was delicious! My mother and I had caippirinhas and they were to die for. The service was impecable. I will be going bak, for sure! Pros: Food, Ambiance, Service more

Fantastic 9/4/2004

""I recently had the pleasure of dining at Fire of Brazil, and I was extremely impressed! I went with a group of 5 friends and they loved it too. One of my friends is a vegetarian, and she was very hesitant about going with us, but now she is hooked and is planning her birthday dinner there. The salad bar is simply spectacular! For the meat eaters, our meat was seasoned perfectly and was nice and hot. The side dishes were plentiful and tasty and served by friendly servers. The wine list is extensive and the staff is knowledgable and full of suggestions. Two of us got desserts, and they were enough to make you cry. And they tasted awesome too! Overall, I loved Fire of Brazil. I would recommend it to a group going out together or for just a romantic evening out! Well done!"" Pros: Great more

Romantic and Delicious 5/12/2004

I love Fire of Brazil (Alpharetta location). The fire-grilled meats are truely awesome: superbly seasoned and remarkably tender. The huge salad bar is lavish although signs to identify each item would help. Things aren't always what they seem, but many premium items (steamed mussels, hearts of palm, shrimp, etc.) are among the many hot and cold choices. Every one of the four servers who attended our table were friendly and efficient. All were transplanted natives of Brazil. Save room for dessert (not easy here). They're fabulous: try the flan. The place is not cheap ($65 per person for us - including drinks, tax and a generous tip). However, if you arrive with a good appetite you'll get more than your money's worth of great food. I'd trade a meal at any of Atlanta's fine steakhouses for a romantic evening at Fire of Brazil. It's that good. Pros: Awesome grilled meats, Vast salad bar, Friendly staff Cons: , Salads need signs more

Fire of Brazil 4/5/2004

Wasn't particularly impressed. The wait staff was friendly but the food was not as expected. The salad bar was crowded with selections that weren't always clearly defined. Friends recommend another one that we will try next time. Pros: good parking more
