I'll agree with some other reviewers that the decor isn't that snazzy and the service is alright but probably not great. But what makes this restaurant great is the quality and the selection of fish. It's simply seasoned and grilled, served with some lemon and tartar sauce. There's no fancy sauces or elaborate side dishes to bury the flavor of the fish.\r

Most fish places around here offer the same few types of fish (salmon, halibut, tilapia, etc.). Fins has a much larger selection, including a lot of types I haven't seen anywhere else in this area (The Opah, Opakapaka, and Escolar caught my attention).\r

I guess it comes down to what you're looking for. If you're looking for a cheap dinner, a romantic atmosphere, or elaborately presented meals, then Fins might not be for you. But if you just want really good seafood, then I don't know of anywhere better.
