Excellent Services and Staff! 5/24/2010

It is my understanding that since 2007 there has been a new and friendly receptionist who dedicates her life to ensuring that clients get the appointments that they need for their pets. She and Dr. Burke are very knowledgeable in the field of veterinary medicine and work to provide the best care to all animals that they treat. I have taken my three cats to this vet for ten years. As one of Richmond's best, I couldn't have asked for better care for my cats and recommend this animal hospital to all. more

Compassionate Care 4/18/2007

Dr. Burke and his staff provided the most compassionate and professional veterinary care I have ever encountered. The entire staff showed that they cared and were all supportive when the time came to put my cat to sleep. While another vet thought my cat was old and having behavioral issues, Dr. Burke gave him a full examination and ran a series of tests to understand why he was so feeble. As it turns out, he had lymphoma. more

Unfriendly Receptionist 7/23/2006

I was so happy to see that Richmond had a feline only center....I scheduled an appointment to get my cat a checkup. As it turned, I had to reschedule the appointment and called 6hrs ahead to try to get rescheduled the next day or within the week. The receptionist was ANGRY that i had to cancel....and took no liberty to hide it. She said there was nothing else available....all week. I asked if I could try next week, she told to call back and hung up. I wouldnt go to them just because of her. PROS: Cat Only Vet CONS: Unfriendly Woman Answering Phone more

GREAT place to take your cats 11/30/2005

When our old cat was ill with cancer this was the ONLY place in town that took us seriously -- most animal hospitals we went to figured that with her age we wouldn't want to do much to treat her -- now most things would have been risky with an older cat, but this animal hospital took great care of her, put her on some medicine that slowed the growth of the cancer without surgery and wished that we had found them sooner -- the cat lived with cancer for 3 years, so obviously there was a chance when we first started seeking help that she might have been able to be treated better sooner -- but it took us too many years to find the animal hospital who would care for her as much as we did. We have a new cat now, and if he is ever ill, I know just where to take him for the best care available to these sweet pets. more

We are a full service veterinary hospital offering medical, surgical, dental, preventative/wellness care, nutritional counseling as well as feline grooming.
