So I went here and I loved the decor and the stylist was very friendly and did an ok job. The reason I have to give one star is because when I booked the appt. I was quoted 67...

FAUX! 9/3/2010

I keep reading that Iris left and yes iris has left the salon but I'm not to sad about it don't wanna bash her but... no real loss there. La bamba is doesn't have the atmosphere of Faux so I wont be going there, With all the other extremely talented stylists working there I find no reason to leave faux. I have been going there for 2 years and not once had a cut I was not in love with. I also don't want to over gush either but some of the reviews are way harsh. Ryan and Pat the receptionists are great and very accommodating. As far as stylists go, go to Amy she is AWESOME!!! Although Mary Lou, Angie, and Liz are also effing fantastic! I've loved every hair cut colour syle i have gotten and style i have received there! Go there get good hair! more

being someone that has only gone to super cuts his whole life this place was a huge change! Amy gave me one of the best hair cuts ever! the price is drastically different from super cuts but hey... you get what you pay for! more

Innovative & Fun & Up on the latest & some beyond! 9/26/2008

I recommend Jason. I wear pretty short hair, he is a great "free spirit" hairstylist with an edge. Haircuts & colors were always an adventure. Will miss all the different dos & color I experienced with the Jason touch. My regrets, I have decided to try new shop which just opened 5 minutes from home. Trying to simplify my life. But if it doesn't work out, I'll again drive across town to Faux. Much success to Jason & Faux! more

A FANTASTIC salon! 9/2/2008

I've been a loyal client for years. Wonderful atmosphere, fantastic stylist's, high level of service and expertise. Well worth every penny! I've also used different stylist's within the salon if mine is not available and love that I can do this without any unpleasant repercussions! Recently relocated to Seattle and my Faux stylist actually called me with a recommendation for a good salon in downtown Seattle. more

best cuts and styles 5/1/2008

love this salon! makes me feel young, i recommend adriana, because she is the only artist ive seen, but all of the employees here are awesome because this place is always crowded and ive never seen anyone unhappy. they have you change out of your shirt so you dont get it hairy:) lovely scalp massage with hair wash. a lot of time is spent with you. it is pricey, but its worth it, and free touch up, trims can be done before the next official appointment. go experience faux! more

Cari was the bomb!! 7/12/2007

I recently went to Faux Salon from a referral from a friend. I decided to cut off all my hair to donate to locks of Love. I was really nervous but the stylist Cari really listened to me and gave me advice on what kind of cut I needed. Next thing I know were doing color too. I loved the whole experience the cut and color came out better than I would have imagined. Prices were really reasonanle, and trust me I've paid a lot more for bad services. Pros: great hair/dining near by Cons: no parking more

Gina is AWESOME I went to Faux salon after my hair stylist of 7 years moved to AZ. I was pretty scared at first to try someone new, but I read reviews on Gina and I thought what the heck I will give her a try. Dont believe the negative stuff you read about her. She is a tell it like it is kind of person (my type of gal) if she thinks something won't look good she will tell you, so if you can't handle the truth don't get Gina, but if you want someone who will do EXACTLY what you ask for, get Gina she is the best!!!! First of all for someone who bounced a check on the last review.She has no reason to say where anyone should spend there money since clearly she can't keep track on her own money.I have known Mikel as a stylist and business owner for over 10 years and obviously he is doing something right to be one of the top salons in the bay area. so to this person i say " Put your money where your mouth is!" Rude service...sub-par haircuts 1/10/2007

Very rude service...1 in 10 chances you'll get a good haircut. If you do go, definitely don't see Mikel. He is a rude, egotistical character who cannot cut hair!! You're money is probably better spent elsewhere... Pros: Coffee shop nearby Cons: Haircut,service,everything... more

Great Place for Hair & Style 7/31/2006

Since Coco has been styling my hair, I get more compliments that ever. She has been cutting my hair for about 7 years! She listens to what you want and give you advice on what can be done. She does a great job on the styling, texturing, and determining the "right" length. The more I let her do her thing, the better the results. I even get compliments from the other hairstylest in Faux. Pros: Talent, fun atmosphere, Great Job Cons: Cash/check more

Gina's the BEST!! 7/22/2006

Gina is awesome or should I say Fabulous! I am always changing the color of my hair and Gina always makes it look wonderful no matter if its dark, light, highlighted etc. My son just got his hair bleached from Gina and we were comparing it to his friends that got their hair bleached somewhere else. We said that their hair looked organish when my sons looks white as it should. My son said, thats probably because they did not get their hair done by a PRO..
