I'm so angry with this company. I read a review that said they had a new tech and to give them a 2nd chance. This was their 5th chance with me. This new tech is not new, I used to deal with him back about 3 years ago. Same tattoo's same foul mouth. But he DID know what he was talking about. I can stomach the tats and profanity but what I can not tolerate is the extreme rudeness of the owner, the condition of the facility, and the fact I have to keep bringing my computer back in to have it fixed after THEY fixed it already. I am very angry that when I took my computer to Staples, they showed me my problem. It was not software as the owenr kept telling me. It wasn't viruses like the new tech was telling me, it was a little ""cap"" that had burst and THAT was why I was having problems. They fixed it, $40. Fat-Cat's price, $130 and never fixed the problem. I complained and was told that the computer worked fine when it left their shop and that it was MY fault. Yes this company has a new tech but the owner is still a crook and the service is a sham! DO NOT GO HERE. YOU CAN TELL JUST BY LOOKING AT THE BUILDING THAT THIS IS NOT A GOOD ESTABLISHMENT. I did some research, no one there is formally trained. No one there has ANY certification nor have they had any certified tech's in over 5 years. What is this where anyone can be a tech? I guess only if you're a crook you have a job at Fatcats. Are there ANY good compnaies in our area left? more

Well after reading some reviews about this business I was hesitant on taking my laptop in to have it worked on well I can tell you I'm glad I did take it there! My experience there was top notch, fast & affordable all thanks to there new tech ""Kenny"" To anyone reading the bad reviews about this place please take note most reviews are over 2yrs old and from reading those reviews to what I experienced and have heard from other customers of there's that things have changed and this new guy Kenny is among the best techs in the area! To all those who have had bad experiences in the past I say give this place another shot and to anyone looking to have there computer worked on don't hesitate this is the place to go regardless of how it looks on the outside never judge a book by it's cover. more

This place is as crooked as they come. It is the only place in town that I would warn people to stay away from. I do minor repairs for computers and teach the elderly and small business owners how to use them. I can't believe the elderly that he has sold very expensive ""new"" computers to that were used, out of date, and several years old. Someone stole a laptop from us, sold it to him for a hundred bucks or so (a fairly new $2000 laptop), and he swore it wasn't there. The police did find it. I have LOTS of stories, all bad. Apparently he's a charmer, but unethical. more

I used to work for this comapny. I am here 2 tell u that FatCats and the owner Harry is a crooked co. He sells used found parts as ""new"". He installs pirated software such as Power DVD, Windows, and Office suites. He has ordered me to carryout these installs saying, ""Make Windows Work"". He had us use the WPA Kill 2.0 patch. On numerous occasions, he has sold or lost peoples laptops and has tried to replace them with broken down faulty units that eventually need parts replaced. The building is poorly kept. It is dirty, the yard is hardly ever cleaned. The owner, a former wanna be cop, knows the law yet purposely violates it. I watched as he has sold RAM that was taken out of junked machines and sell it at NEW prices. He is extremely rude to clients. He has been so offensive that I was the preferred contactg person for the clients. He routinely hands out inaccurate information because he can't stay current on technology. All employees complained that he only plays Freecell on his company time while the business is ran by ME. He laid me off when I ran into some hard times shortly after using me to get a new roof put on his house. Then he lied to VEC about my termination. He is a really low down dirty offensive sexist old man who should be avoided at all costs. ALL STATEMENTS HERE CAN BE PROVEN UPON REQUEST. I could not take it any longer and had to go into business for myself. I am gladly helping anyone screwed over by this man. 540-933-7907. I am tossed about coming back. I recently went into the fatcat pc's and was talking with the techy (a young man names Jason). I was elated that he gave me a copy of his software that he made to help me fix some issues I was having while OTR driving. I had used his Comtools for a few weeks and everytime I had problems connecting to wireless internets at truck stops, I'd use his program to fix it. I came in to tell them how happy I was, well I guess I wasn't the only one to mention the program because I walked into the owner hashin Jason out for giving his software away. Can you believe that? Jason was giving us, the customers, something that no one else was giving us. The means to resolve problems at home and leaving the big ones for them. Well I told Jason that I would do business with him but after hearing that man degrade him like that, I'll never even drive by that place. Pros: Great technician that is very very skilled Cons: Office mananger is incompitent and needs to be lead. more

I brought my computer in because I took it to another competitor. I thought about going to Fatcats but then I saw the shape of the building and the fact that the entrance was blocked with customers, I went to the next place I could find. I had been told that my computer needed a new systemboard, processor, and probably a hard drive. It would cut out on me from time to time, right in the middle of watching a movie or playing the sims. Well after hearing the repair estimate, I decided against getting it fixed (there). I got home and hooked everything back up to do the email thing and my computer wouldn't boot. I called the next day to this company who told me that it never booted for them. Needless to say I was livid. I took the computer the fatcats despite my first impressions. But when they put my computer on their bench, the owner messed with it and he too thought it would be the systemboard and couldn't speculate on the cpu chip. He called their tech up to look at the computer (all while I was standing there). Jason took a look on the inside and mentioned that there was a battery thing on the wrong prongs.He set it to the other pins and up came my computer. It did cut out and flashed a blue screen real fast but you couldn't read it. They took my computer in and as it turns out, it was my powersupply. $45 and my computer was all better. Now I get paid every 2 weeks and so they held my computer for me, but when I got my check, I had to pay rent and so I asked to have them hold it for a few more weeks. They held it for 4 more weeks and the owner mentioned as it stated on my drop off reciept that they only hold them for 30 days. Well they had held mine for 2 weeks over that period and still had it. Never charged me any late pickup fees or rent or anything. I am still using the computer with no problems at all and it's been almost a year. I think the other guy just left his stuff there way too longwithout at least calling. Did you know the owner is a retired police officer who has been in business for like 15 years? Pros: Quality Work, HONEST staff, Decent Turn-around Cons: Prices are on the high side. Just don't talk to the owner more
