Great food, Big Elwood is to die for. You can not beat the prices on the food. We go all the time with a group or just the two of us. Always have a good time. Pros: Cheap food

The food is cheap and decent, the shrimp are good, but I have to agree with others that the waitresses remind me of a car salesman hovering over you before your drink is even half...

A terrific place to go go with friends. The crowd age goes from 70's to 20's and everyone has a good time with it. It's one of the few places I go that being so crowded doesn't bother me. Great food, great service, good music(at an appropiate level that you can converse around)and a great location. more

Pretty good food especially for lunch when its not as crowded. Brings in people from other towns to enjoy the city of Alton. At night it may be super crowded but it usually has good bands. If you can deal with the crowds its worth going. Pros: cheap food, fun atmosphere Cons: crowded, crowded, crowded more

It ought to be called a Fat Eddie Burger ,best around town and darn cheap! But if you want one better get there early or you'll find yourself getting a ticket with a number 272 on it when they are serving 142... Fast Eddie's is great place to eat for a quick lunch, happy hour, and just to take a load off while eating cheap - shrimp, chicken or steak on stick plus great fries and onion rings!!! No place gives you such a large choise of inexpensive food! Start with 2 dozen peel & eat shrimp (fresh & Plump), and order Chick on a stick, Big Elwood, Beef Kabob, and Fries. Beer is cold and cheep. Music is hit & miss. more

And...the beer is cold!! Fast Eddie is my dad's friend, and I went to school with his kids...so I can say nothing bad!! On a serious note, though...Fast Eddies is the home of the cheapest, biggest, tastiest Hot Chick on a Stick in the world. The draft beer is cold enough to freeze your teeth, and at 25 cents a piece..you can eat shrimp till you explode! more

Can't find cheaper shrimp, burgers or beer anywhere! Always packed. Great lively atmosphere. Best to stop in after a hot round of golf. They sell by far more Budweiser than anywhere. more

This bar sells really cheap food so that you buy their really cheap beer. This combination ensures the place is usually packed. Hope there is never a fire. As a long time St. Louis resident now living in Oregon, let me assure you that Fast Eddies is one of the best value bars in the world. The Bon-Air cranks out wonderful food at dirt cheap prices, and the frosty mugs of the Blue Jewel (that would be Busch) are perectly priced. Worth driving 80 miles for! 7/22/2002

Even all the popcorn, you can eat while you wait for a seat, is great. The shrimp is super grand and all of the grilled items are worth waiting for! more
