Thankfully Chuck is back, and the food and service have improved drastically. My daughter, and a party of about 20 went for dinner New Year's Eve, and everyone raved. My daughte...

We visited Farrago this Sunday. My friend had booked us a table and specifically asked that it be outside. Upon arrival she was told all the outside seating was ""booked"". Deduct...

Sadly the service was the problem 1/15/2008

Despite the great location and that my lunch companion had a great burger I found a foreign object in my curry that made me uncomfortable -- something that looked like a sliver of fingernail -- hard and sharp -- and stuck in my gum -- yuck! Asked for reassurance that it wasn't what I thought it was -- was told that it was a spice -- well I DON""T THINK SO! Worse -- the manager was rude about it when I disagreed and actually said he wasn't going to prove it -- he would just take it off the bill and then abruptly walked off. My friend assured me that I had not been unreasonable and that she was appalled at the behavior. Worse there was no apology, no offer to bring me something else -- which would have been fine -- heck even in the best of restaurants stuff happens. So I left there hungry and my friend who works for a nearby company which brings a lot of clients there said they would now choose another restaurant until that manager was no longer there. Pros: location, atmosphere, menu variety Cons: service more

Best pepperoni pizza and best mimosas! 1/6/2008

The pepperoni pizza is fantastic, they call it the Farrago'roni and it's beautifully thin with a slight dusting of spiciness. Lovely! Wash it down with some Flying Dog Pale Ale on draught! I don't know anywhere else that has it on tap. Also recommended are the curried mussels and the tuna tacos. more

By far the worse restaraunt i ever ate at 9/1/2007

This restaraunt has got to be the biggest joke in Houston. I wouldnt reccoment it to anyone!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE and TERRIBLE FOOD!!! more

Bottomless Mimosa! 7/30/2007

I don't know what the 'bland' person had but my roasted chicken was great. Sunday brunch is packed. It's a great social scene for the locals. A bottomless mimosa is only about $9. I had some Italian (not Chianti) red wine that was very fruity and clean. They do have a problem with running out of things. The waiters are nice and pay attention. Parking can be a problem for someone who doesn't live around here but valet is only $5. Pros: Mimosas, Wine, Great Chicken, The Crowd Cons: Parking, Loud, Run out of Stuff more

Yuck 7/8/2007

The food is BLAND BLAND BLAND. I have tried this place a couple of times and the food is very weak. I do not understand why it is so packed for brunch. If you like food with no flavor, this place is for you. Cons: awful food more

I don't get it 6/6/2007

I always read great reviews for this place, but I have never liked any of the food. The service is really good, the atmosphere is great -- not too quiet, not too loud, but the food is always mediocre and overpriced. I live really close by, so I've been several times thinking that I just keep going on off nights, and I always order different things that look really good but they all tend to be sort of bland and forgettable. I really want to like this place, but I just don't understand why it keeps getting good reviews. It's really not very good and there are at least 4 restaurants within a half block that are much better. I guess if food and flavor are not very important to you this would be a really great place to go. Pros: patio, good atmosphere Cons: not good food. more

great for large party of 30 4/28/2007

I would highly recommend this place for a large party. I had my husbands birthday party in the courtyard area and the atmosphere and food was to die for. The service was excellent and I had a party of 30 and everyones order was correct, tempeture of food was excellent. And I would strongly suggest the pizza and calamari and the mixed drinks were really good as well. Excellent dining experience. Pros: food, waiters, customer service, courtyard atmosphere more

Brunch, brunch, brunch!!! 4/11/2007

This is THE place for brunch. The food is fantastic and they make some delicious mimosas! I recommend the stuffed french toast and the spinach/feta tart. Dinner is good too, but brunch is the best. Pros: food, ambience Cons: parking more

Amazing Seafood Cioppino and Lobster Pizza!!! 3/17/2007

We love Farrago's! Their Seafood Cioppino and Lobster Pizza are especially good, and we think well worth the price. They also have good salads....we haven't tried anything else since we like these items sooooo much! Pros: seafood Cons: parking, there is none! more

Great food anytime! 2/20/2007

Gotta love a place where you can go for lunch, dinner, or brunch and be equally satisfied. Farrago's ""World Cuisine"" offers a wide selection of tastes from different cultures and flavors. Anytime you want a fool-proof meal - the pizzas are fantastic - crispy and very flavorful - just like in Italy. For lunch, I love the Goat Cheese Salad - but I get the Sundried Tomato Balsamic Vinaigrette instead of what it comes with. I also love Pork Chop with Gorgonzola mashed potatoes and veggies. Definitely something on the menu for everyone. And the brunch is a blast - bottomless mimosas for only $9 - cannot beat that! And the Breakfast Calzone will wake up your tastebuds in a hurry - yum! Pros: Brunch, Pizza, Salads more

Best Happy Hour, Brunch, and Pizza!! 1/3/2007

I live one block from Farrago and have been a regular at their $3 Happy Hour, Amazing Brunch, and eater of their oh-so-tasty sour dough crust pizzas! You have got to try this place. Other favorites on the menu are their house salad, just trust me.....and the Ribs....oh my...the ribs would make you want to do the happy dance. Pros: Happy Hour, Pizza, Brunch, Ribs Cons: Valet on Thursday thru Saturday more

it's not all that 11/21/2006

located in the trendy, but laid-back part of midtown and minutes from a few quaint coffee shops, a wine bar, and other restaurants ... farrago takes advantage of it's conveniently placed locale ... probably one of it's few highlights. the fusion american food was decent ... it wasn't spectacular, though it did offer some interesting food combinations. the ambience geared toward trendiness, but it lacked the quaint cozyness and laid-back feel of the eclectic midtown neighborhood. a place to experience once and only once.* Pros: location Cons: ambience more

Wonderful Place in Midtown 10/26/2006

I used to live in the apartments across the street, and I went to this restaurant every week or so. The staff is very knowledgeable about their menu -- especially the wine menu. The italian sausage is great, and so is the half-chicken. You can dress up or down, but on the weekends people are usually wearing their going-out clothes. I highly recommend this place -- the value is great too. Pros: great food, great staff, great location more

Still going strong 10/25/2006

It's been a while for me, but it seems that their thunder still rolls on. Great little brunch place and excellent food to match good mimosas! Cheers! more

Terrific fare 10/21/2006

Good variety in this nice environment with friendly attentive service. Food is consistently good. Don't forget to try the pizza, its excellent. more

LA attitude, Little Rock personality 10/15/2006

Atmosphere ok, food mediocre, drinks almost non-alcoholic. For people that Houston is their first big city to experience, this place must be the modern mecca they have strived for their entire life. Woohoo! There are several much better brunch restaurants in the city aside from Farrago's and their ""I make 60K a year so I'm rich"" crowd. Farrago is nothing more than a look and be seen venue. LA attitude with Little Rock personality. Pros: location Cons: food, service, customers more

Outstanding Brunch 10/1/2006

Went for the Sunday Brunch - our first time in the restaurant. The food is exceptional - not the tired old tranditional stuff for brunch - but creative and well done. We had both the french toast (wow - not what you think!) and one of the migas style dishes. Truly exceptional! Service was good, almosphere interesting and an overall great experience. We will go back again (for brunch) and are looking forward to a dinner. Pros: The Food! Distinctly different & tasty. Service is friendly and prompt. Great Patio. Cons: Parking can be an experiment in navigation. more

Fantastic Customer Service! 9/29/2006

This place not only has great food, but the customer service is outstanding! I was to meet a friend for dinner, but he's not familiar with Mid-Town. Chuck, one of the owners, heard me on the cell and he offered to talk to my friend to give him directions. Not only did Chuck give him directions, but he stayed on the phone with him until he was at the front door! I was absolutely amazed at his graciousness and hospitality. This is not my first time there and it certainly won't be the last. The food is always delicious and service quick. Huge recommendation. Thank you, Chuck!! Pros: Great ambience and customer service. more

Awesome Brunch 9/3/2006

I've only been a couple of times for brunch, but each time the food and service have been awesome. The first time we had a group of 10 and thought the mimosas were great. We did have to leave our table after 2 hours - but we were still allowed to keep the party going at the bar and they were very nice about it. The staff was very efficient and friendly. Second time was even better - the hostess quickly found us a table and we had a great time as well. I don't know how anyone can't love this place! It's fun and very well priced. Pros: Atmosphere, Food, Mimosas Cons: 2 hour max at table! more

Worst Sunday Brunch 7/9/2006

I was disappointed with everything this restaurant tried to accomplish. First of all, the bottomless mimosas are a scam. You are paying $9.99 for bottomless orange juice, and if you're lucky you might get a splash of champagne. By the time you get your room tempature, mediocre, over-priced food, your stomach is sick from all the orange juice you've consumed, attempting to get somewhat of a Sunday buzz going. Before you can lift a fork to eat the last portion of your food, a waiter may stop by and take your plate, unfinished. Then the manager, claiming she was the owner, who obviously has no experience in the service industry may kick you out of your table before you are finished. Then you get to wait a year for the check that they won't split. If you are still considering going, I wish you the best of luck. This is the first restaurant review I have ever written only because I have never been this dissapointed with service in my life. Pros: The patio was cool Cons: Horrible service, over-priced food more
