I can't believe that no one has reviewed this amazing restaurant yet on Citysearch.
We had a wonderful meal. We understand that they're growing and raising most of the ingredients in their own farm or getting them from local growers, hence the ""farm-to-table dining"" phrase, even the mint in their mojito, which really is a Mint Julep here.
They have a full bar and some really awesome, flavorful cocktails (above mentioned Mint Julep and their Grapefruit Martini) which we badly needed after a full day of wine-tasting. Their wine list is also amazing and they only charge $2 corkage fee that's donated to a different local charity every month. It's nice of them, but with that wine list and bar, why would you even want to bring your own wine?
The food was fantastic. I had their wood roasted zucchini and squash with ricotta and mint as an appetizer. It was delish!!
For the entree I had the ""Brick cooked"" chicken. They indeed have a brick, wood-fired oven and most of everything is prepared in it. This chicken dish was to die for. Great flavor combination with the canellini beans, the spinach and the pistou. The chicken was amazingly tender, it just melted in my mouth.
My friend had the Muffaletta sandwich with a side of broccoli with garlic and grana and he loved it.
For dessert, we had their peach and berries crisp (cobbler) with vanilla ice cream, which was also just mouthwatering.
We really should have tried so many other things, as everything on the menu sounded fantastic, so we'll have to go back another time.
The service was impeccable.
The design/decor is simplistic, modern, yet incorporates tools and utensils from an old farmhouse. It works great and the place looks beautiful.
We can't wait to get back there again.
