Fantastic Finds

My sister ordered a beautiful Casablanca Bridal Gown from Fantastic Finds. She is typically a 2-4 in dresses. The sales women that helped her find her gown told her to get a size 6 because they wanted to make sure it was going to fit well. She also quoted that alterations would be about $150-300 on that particular dress. When the dress came in 3 months later, it was huge on her! She had to hold it up to keep it from falling down on her. My mother spoke with the manager and the management explained that there was nothing they could do because WE ordered the wrong size. We explained that is was the sale's person that recommended buying a size 6. They THEN quoted that it would be $450 for the alterations because of all the beading on the dress. They said AT MOST they could give us $25 off of the $450. This business was just looking to make money on alterations!! I DO NOT recommend that you purchase your gown here! They were the ones that said to order such a big size so we took their "professional" advice and did so. We asked if we could exchange it for a smaller size and they refused to do so. The alterations women was extremely rude from the very start of the appointment. On top of all of this, they then charged us $25 for a "pinning fee" explaining that they would have to remove all the pins that went into the dress during the appointment. Now, we are taking her gown to a local seamstress. I would not get your gown from here. There are PLENTY of other bridal stores that have much better customer service. more

Walking in is a bizarre experience -- the staff puts you and your group in a waiting room until they are ready for you, audibly whispering in a room next door. It's strange, a little rude, and made me feel as if I was inconveniencing them. The selection was decent & they let me browse on my own - no complaints there. However, they do not allow pictures, they remove the designer labels from the dresses, & actually refused to tell me a few designers when I actually asked (I assume they are worried you will go elsewhere to find the dress). When trying on gowns, the minute I showed the slightest interest, the consultant started putting on the pressure. When I voiced concerns/dislikes about each dress, the consultant got visibly upset and snippy, telling me that it would be a big mistake not to buy the dress that day, and eventually getting so frustrated that she told me I was never going to decide on 'the one'. In addition to the rude behavior, she never once offered to let me try on a veil and/or jewelry to see how it would compliment the dress. I had to ask for both, and the consultant huffed as she reluctantly retrieved them for me. I did end up finding 'the one' there, but was so put-off by their service, that I went down the street to Lett's Bridal and asked them to special-order it for me. The staff at Lett's is SO sweet and accommodating. I can't say enough about them. Unfortunately, the veil and bridal belt I wanted could only be found at Fantastic Finds, so I ended up purchasing both from them (totaling about $450). I went to pick them up last week, & was yet again appalled when the owner refused to give my veil a complimentary steam, telling me I didn't spend enough & it would be a $15 up-charge. It's clear that the poor service and lack of concern for their clients stems from the top down here. I strongly encourage brides-to-be to avoid this place - there are plenty of other stores in the area that will give you a much nicer, happier, more exciting experience! more

For both men’s and women’s clothing this store is sure to please. It was about six months ago that I was last here and it took my friend clawing at me to leave. I loved looking at all the unique items that were priced to kill. The selection obviously was diverse and catered to all your needs; be it for formal night or just a night on the town. more

This is a great place to go for a bridal dress or a prom dress. Nice location, good service. They seem to have reasonable prices. This place is located in a house which gives it a unique feel. Worth going to check out. You will not think it is a waste of time to visit this store. Easy to get to and good parking. more

Fantastic Finds in Lansing is a nice little bridal shop. They have a large selection of dresses available to view but their sizes are extremely limited. The customer service is quite excellent and they have customer friendly hours. Also, they offer some promotions throughout the spring where customers who purchase a dress can get better deals on other wedding necessities as well as win free trips, etc… more
