Great experience... I got all of my question answered. Explained my condition with great detail. Discussed my options thoroughly. Not to mention I'm 100% better.

Worst

The over all process was rushed by the doctor.(dont remember her name). I could sense that she was waiting on multiple people. She would leave serveral times to wait on other ...

Let me first say myself and both of my children have been seen at this practice over the past year and although I'm not ecstatic about this practice and would hesitate to recommend them because they lack bedside manner, they have been accurate with treatments and we have not had to return, so I would tolerate them EXCEPT, I had the most DEPLORABLE EXPERIENCE WITH DR. SCHULTZ BEING THE ON CALL PROVIDER YESTERDAY AT 4:45-545 PM!!! I am a health care professional myself and I have rarely seen such unprofessionalism and lack of concern for patient care when speaking directly with the patient EVER!! I called because a my 21 month old daughter was diagnosed with mild eczema by Dr. Schultz and was prescribed a steroid cream. She has had a couple of outbreaks over the 6 months and the medicine always works. I tried to refill the prescription the Friday of Memorial Day weekend and was informed she had no more refills. They sent a fax request, and I tried to pick up the prescription yesterday (1 week later), the pharmacy never received a response. I called the on call service because my daughter now has an outbreak and is scratching constantly and even had a rash on her scalp. It took 2 pages and an hour later Dr. Schultz called back. Obviously irritated by my call, she repeatedly lectured me on how she should not be calling in a prescription because she had not seen my daughter in 6 months, and because of her age, and stated that I waited until late on a Friday to call. She repeatedly said she'd do me a favor, save me an ER visit, but she was going to document it in their records, that this was a 1 TIME refill only and she would never do this again. I told her she didn't have to do it now if she didn't feel comfortable. But she repeated this lecture at least 3 times BEFORE SHE EVER ASKED WHAT MY DAUGHTER'S SYMPTOMS WERE. I was very upset and after she finished her lecturesss, I informed her the reason I called late on a Friday was because I went to pick up her prescription and they had not responded from a week ago when she was NOT having an outbreak. After I told her not to do anything she wasn't comfortable with and she didn't have to do any favors, I also asked if I had missed a follow up appt. She said 'no'. So I asked how was I to know when to come back for a check up when that was never explained to me. She stated if the medicine wasn't working, I should come back. I then informed her of the cycle my daughter goes through (which she NEVER ASKED), so the medicine does work and that's just the cycle of eczema as I have known it. She then softened her rant (my guess is after realizing her errorS). Then she said if my pedicatrician felt comfortable since she was going for well visits she could take over the prescription since she would be seeing my daughter's skin. I just said, 'sure! And I'm SO sorry for interrupting your important weekend' and hung up. I was so irritated and taken aback by her rant, I didn't even mention I had called the pediatrician after paging her the first time and the office had already called in the prescription, called me to check on my daughter and give me instructions with the medication within 15 minutes. That's how patient care SHOULD be. #totallydisgusted more

I visited Family Dermatology with my 12 year old. The doctor came in 35 minutes late, no apology, no thank you for waiting. The assistant that walked in with her didn't even find it necessary to say hello and seemed ready to go home. Dr. Shultz, I think was her name, gave some info but very impersonal, and I didn't feel she cared about the issue we were there for or the questions I was asking her. She too seemed ready to go home for the day. It seems that in an economic time that many businesses are struggling, and realizing people have many choices, but chose you, offices would do more to show patients that they appreciate the business. Maybe this office doesn't need the business. The front desk was fine, and the nurse that took us back was great. Will not be back. more

My name is Shane G and I just had to write a personal experience about Family Dermatology based on before Dr Flynn even started Family Dermatology and was with another firm. My family was one of his very first customers. Since then I have recommended MANY other family and friends to see Dr. Flynn. He has always went above and beyond with me. I have had several procedures with many pre-cancerous moles being removed. He has always taken the time that I needed to feel comfortable with the treatment and his explanation. On one occasion one of my best friends called me in a panic since his wife was in terrible pain with a skin issue and couldn't get into her own dermatologist for 2 weeks even though it was an emergency. All I had to do is send a message to Dr Flynn and he arranged to see her that afternoon. Needless to say they switched doctors to Family Dermatology. Then as recent as this week right before I was to head on a business trip I broke out all over my back in a rash and in a panic was going to cancel my trip and my wife said - ""WHY DONT YOU TAKE A PICTURE AND SEND TO DR FLYNN"". So I did and within 15 minutes he responded and took care of me. BOTTOM LINE... I have had so many terrible experiences with Dermatologists over the years, and what a joy it is to have someone who remembers who you are and is willing to go way ABOVE & BEYOND what most would ever do. You cant and wont find a better dermatologist around. Dr Flynn thanks again....... Shane & Debbie Gates more

Worst doctor visit ever 3/14/2011

Made an appointment for 930 and took over two hours to finish, I came in to have acne and a mole looked at, the doc came in for about two minutes then disappeared for about an hour and a half, no bothered to come check to see if I was even still waiting, very unprofessional, will never come back. more

Not a good choice. 5/18/2009

I saw Dr. Shultz. She completely rushed thru the exam and did not really even talk to me. I was a new patient and she took no history, etc. She went so fast that I didn't get a chance to ask any questions. I was in and out in about 2 minutes. Left there feeling like I didn't even get examined. Pros: Got an appointment quickly. Cons: Dr. rushed thru exam. more

Wonderful people, very nice, professional- Ginger is awesome 3/15/2009

Dr Flynn and Dr Ginger Smith are both fabulous. Quick, efficient, but don't miss anything. They found spots, handled issues that I mentioned, very caring, very understanding when I ask them to check places every single visit more than once (my dad died of melanoma so I'm VERY touchy about this). Pros: Nice, Professional, Refer quickly if needed, parking, quick Cons: None so far more

FAMILY DERMATOLOGY IS THE BEST IN RTP - DR. FLYNN IS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR 1/7/2009

Family Dermatology is wonderful. I have been one of Dr. Flynn very first patients. I followed him when he opened his new office. I have had some very bad experiences with other dermatologists with very bad bed side manners and no care attitutudes. Dr Flynn is a breath of fresh air. I have had several procedures done at Family Dermatology. Dr. Flynn is incredible, kind and very interested in making you feel comfortable. His staff is great and very accomadating. I have made several recommendations to Dr. Flynn and now many of my freinds are now patients of Family Dermatology. Pros: EVERYTHING Cons: NOTHING more

Good Dermatology Practice 10/31/2008

I think this is a great practice. The office staff is knowledgable and friendly. The physicians generally run on time and they anwsered all my questions. They can fax your prescriptions to your preferred pharmacy ahead of time - which is great! Pros: staff and doctors more

Good Dermatologist with no 2-6 month wait 8/1/2008

I was a new patient and they were able to get me in within 2 weeks. Believe me that is not the case with some of the other offices I called. Pros: Nice Staff Cons: Hold Time more

Highly Recommended 4/25/2006

I have always had appointments with Mr. Bean, Physician's Assistant, and he is wonderful. He is very thorough and explains things very well. His skin cancer checks are much more thorough than the previous dermatologist that I visited. He took the time to explain to me exactly what I should be looking for when conducting self exams for skin cancer. He also correctly diagnosed and successfully treated a skin condition that my previous dermatologist did not. The office staff is very nice and professional, and I have always been seen within 5 minutes of my appointment time. Pros: explains things well, no long waits more
