Fairview Kennels

If anyone needs to board an animal anytime in their lifetime, Please I beg of you not use Fairview Kennels in west Little Rock.\r I forgot to make reservations for our dog before our disney trip and had to settle with using Fairview Kennels. We were to pick her up after her being there for 11 days and she was supposed to get a bath before picking her up too. We had her in their indoor/outdoor run and our old dog NEVER uses the bathroom in the house.\r They brought her out from her ""bath"" and I immediately noticed the yellow coloring all over her legs, chest, and belly. I bent down and could smell the stench of pee. I walked her back in and asked for the manager. He could care less and told me that she must have walked through grass that had pee on it......REALLY!?!?! ummmm...no. He then told me that she must have laid in it in her concrete run that gets washed out once a day. There was no way this is the way it went down with our dog.\r They gave her another bath and she finally came out mostly clean. They offered no discount or anything. When I was talking to the manager about it, he just said that about the concrete and walked away back to the back. I have read reviews now that talk about the fact that they do not allow people to tour the back except for during ""tour times."" Hmmmmm...wonder why. I feel so bad for our old girl and cant believe she was subjected to such miscare. Please dont make the same mistake. more

THESE PEOPLE HAVE TO BE THE RUDEST MOST INCONSIDERATE PEOPLE ALIVE!!!!!!! THE GUY RECEPTIONIST HAS NO KIND OF PEOPLE SKILLS BECAUSE IF HE DID HE WOULD KNOW HOW TO TALK TO PEOPLE WITH RESPECT. IF THEY TREAT PEOPLE LIKE GARBAGE, I CAN NOT IMAGINE HOW THEY WOULD TREAT MY PET!! I WILL NOT EVER IN MY LIFE BOARD MY PET THERE OR EVEN CONSIDER IT!!! I ALSO WILL HAVE THE ANIMAL BOARD CONTROL TO INVESTIGATE AN INCIDENT WITH MY ANIMAL AND ALSO THE FACT THAT FAIRVIEW KENNELS WILL NOT EVEN ALLOW FOR YOU TO TOUR THE KENNEL FACILITY. more

Used this place for years and always felt it was a good value. They did a good job with the bathing, nails, teeth, etc, but I did always feel that they didn't do much brushing. My concern has come lately... our dog is getting old and has been coming back sore... like takes 3 days to recover and can barely get up to go out to use the bathroom kind of sore. I thought at first it was the car ride (new car has cargo area and she has more room to stand and lose balance, maybe causing sore muscles); however we took some car rides without going to the groomer and she was fine. Then I switched groomer and she does not come home sore any more. I do not believe they were being abusive, but I do suspect that they may have been pulling her leash to get her to follow and climb up the ramp for her bath and stuff, causing her to strain her old, weak muscles. I told them that she has to be lifted, but I don't think this was being done. If you have a old dog that is a large breed, I do not recommend this groomer. But other than that, they do great.... we used them for nearly 10 years more

I stumbed onto Fairview Kennels randomly, when in a bind near Thanksgiving. They had a spot available and were affordable. Pros: Good Price, No-hassle drop off/pick-up, Easy Location Cons: Not for dogs who need special care/close attention more

I bring my dogs to doggie daycare everyday. It lets me get done what I need to get done and I dont have to worry about going home and letting the dogs out or what they are chewing up while im not there or how hyper they are going to be when I get home. I love it. They get so worn out from playing with the other dogs. Also my mom takes her dog there for grooming and loves it she says that she would never take her dog anywhere else. We love Fairview and wouldnt go anywhere else. more
