I needed cataract surgery and a friend referred me to Dr. Mahootchi. We did the crystal lens and I can't be happier. I've lived with glasses since I was 4 years old so this was a big step. I was nervous but, Dr. Mahootchi and his staff made the process easier by explaining everything to me. After having both eyes done. I elected to have Lasik surgery with a PRK procedure done due to my astigmatism. Now I don't need my glasses. I can't believe the difference.\r \r I can't give enough praise to Dr. Mahootchi and his staff for their professionalism, friendly care. I would highly recommend Dr. Ahad Mahootchi of the Eye Clinic of Florida to anyone who wants the best in eye care. \r \r Thank you again for all you do. more

\r \r Dr. Mahootchi is the BEST ophthalmologist by far!!!! I've been seeing him for my eye care for 12 years...He was the first doctor to discover my cataracts in both eyes which had been there for quite some time; he said I was probably born with them. I was 21 at the time. I'm extremely thrilled with my new vision at age 33. My cataracts had become extremely bothersome over the past 4 years, but I kept putting off the surgery b/c I wanted to wait until finances allowed me to choose the Crystal Lens implant. Well, after my annual visit in July of this year, I realized my vision (or lack thereof...I was extremely near-sighted as well.... -11....yikes) was interfering with my quality of life. Dr. Mahootchi worked with me to choose the best option to achieve optimal vision within our budget. With a toric lens implant, my astigmatism and near-sightedness could be corrected. I now have 20/20 vision in both eyes!!!!! :) I see things I don't remember ever seeing before.....I'd worn glasses since age 8. All I require now are OTC reading glasses for reading or using computer....a very small sacrifice....no more heavy glasses!!!! Dr. Mahootchi is not only the best in his field as far as diagnosis and skill, but is extremely pleasant with an awesome bedside manner (He is ALWAYS consistent in being pleasant and professional, and always greets me with a smile)....always willing to answer my questions. I won't go to another eye doctor. And I think it's GREAT that he is local for me right in Zephyrhills with his own surgery center. Both his office and surgery center are extremely clean and beautiful facilities. His staff is absolutely wonderful. They all did an amazing job with keeping me calm before and during my surgeries.....anxiety crept up on me thinking about my eyes being worked on, but EVERYONE was absolutely fantastic!!! I am more than pleased with my results. Dr. Mahootchi really did an amazing job with my eyes, and I was definitely not average patient as far as eye health at my age. I would recommend Dr. Mahootchi to anyone. \r \r Also, I took my Dad to Dr. Mahootchi since moving him to Florida to be near family. Dad has diabetes, and Dr. Mahootchi is the best with diabetic eye care.....just be sure you know your A1C number within the last 3 months. Dad's not really crazy about doctors in general, but really likes Dr. Mahootchi. He did Dad's cataract surgery on his second eye as well as laser on the other to clear up the cloudiness from a previous cataract surgery up north. Dad wears no glasses now, and is extremely happy with his vision. His last check-up today since his procedures showed great vision with both eyes looking great, and his right eye which he had the cataract surgery on is completely healed. Dr. Mahootchi and his staff are awesome in working with Dad....he has dementia and everyone is very patient with him and treat him like a king. \r \r We are both very pleased and thrilled with the care we received, and will continue to receive. more

I had cataracts so bad could not see, Dr.Mahootchi did surgery on my eyes 7 months ago. I had crystalens implants, I am like a new person. Its great to see again I can read I can see all the colors. I am so happy this is the best place to go if you have eye problems more

I have been a patient since Sept.2012. I had laser and lid surgery to both eyes. I am off all medications for my Glaucoma and now have20/20in both eyes. He is an excellent physician and I would highly recommend him. more

I recently had cataract eye surgery done by Dr. A. Mahootchi at the Eye Clinic of Florida, located in Zephyrhills. I had the Crystalens implated in my right eye and I am amazed at how my vision has improved. Now I am able to read and see at a distance without my glasses or contact lens. The surgery was pain free and afterward I didn't experience any discomfort.\r The Clinic was clean and the staff was well organized, friendly but yet professional. I was very nervous last week...although aware of procedure as totally explained, my heart was beating fast. Trust me when I say, there is no pain, and it is like looking into a Kaleidoscope. Medication relaxes you and prepares the eye for procedure. In less than fifteen minutes it is over and you say ""Is that all there is""? : )\r I go next Tuesday for surgery in Left eye this time.\r I am not nervous for I know what to expect.\r The surgical center is a beautiful clean building with caring professionals. Recently I had left Cataract surgery with Crystal lens implant and within 26 hour post op at my 1st Physician check I was able to see more clearly both near and intermediate. I was amazed! At 3 days post op I am so pleased at the clarity of color and crispness of vision and range of vision I have. \r More so however, the service I received both in the office and at the outpatient center were extraordinary. The staffs were efficient, professional, and personable and despite the evident fact of other patients present. All staff rendered care leaving you with the feeling of importance while administering all care from the first visit where my Insurance was verified and precertification obtained to discharge instructions and post op phone call to check to determine how I was doing. I have not had even a twinge of discomfort or a red mark on the eye to evidence a procedure occurred. I am eager to schedule my right eye cataract procedure and have great vision. I recently had a left Cataract extraction and lens implant by Dr Mahootchi at the Eye Clinic of Florida in Zephyrhills, Fl. After searching the Internet for Opthalmologists who perform the Crystalens implant, I found Dr Mahootchi, whose pricing was competitive and had exceptional experience.\r I was willing to drive two hours from my home to get his opinion about the feasability of the Crystalens for both my eyes, having already had a Cataract extraction in my right eye two years earlier.\r I am a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesist) and have worked with many Opthalmologists over the years, and even so, I was impressed by the thoroughness of the exam and the way Dr Mahootchi, and his assistant Anna, caringly worked with me; explaining the options available. During the exam of my right eye he found I had developed a capsule of scar tissue around the previous lens implant and recommended a Capsulotomy, using a YAG Laser in order to improve my vision in this eye. His staff was able to obtain immediate approval from my insurance company and he performed the procedure that very same day. The subsequent cataract extraction was performed flawlessly and I am thrilled with my new improved vision from both my eyes. \r I love the results. I am extremely pleased. i would like to take this opportunity to recommend Dr. Ahad Mahootchi to anyone who is considering cataract surgery and lens replacement.. I needed cataract and lens replacement surgery and happened to mentioned it to my golfing partner he informed me that he had the same surgery right here in our hometown of Zephyrhills florida at the Eye Clinic of Florida and he was completely satisfied with his results, of course you can't be dissatisfied with 20/20 vison. The support staff was very caring and friendly. They informed you of everything they were doing. The after surgery care was excellent. I had Laser vision correction with Dr. Mahootchi. I researched different doctors and laser centers and felt very confident with him and his staff. He was very professional and detailed in explaining everything. I drove all the way from South Tampa to have Lasik with Dr. Mahootchi. I recently had cataract and crystalens surgery. I had put off having anything done for nearly two years. In the mean time, because of being diabetic, I not only was putting my health at risk but damage was being done to my eyes. I was going blind. I went back to Dr. Mahootchi thinking I could just get new glasses. Well, he saw right through that idea and straightened me out real quick on the subject. He suggested I get with the program and do something about both my diabetes and my eye sight. He also suggested I not drive until my eye sight was corrected--my family supported him on that one! So within a couple of weeks I had the left eye operated on and then three weeks later the right eye. The next morning appointments showed I had 20/20 vision each time. All of my fears of having someone do anything to my eyes was very unfounded. I experienced no pain during either surgery which was performed at Florida Hospital in Zephyrhills, Florida. I live in San Antonio, Florida so The Eye Clinic of Florida and the hospital are only about a 20 minute drive for me. No matter how far the drive, it would be well worth it. The staff at The Eye Clinic is very professional, extremely knowledgeable, courteous and caring. They made me feel comfortable as well as giving me verbal and written instructions on the care of my eyes with each visit. I feel Dr. Mahootchi has an excellent reputation which he values highly. I did not expect my experience with eye surgery to be such an ""eye opener""! I am so thankful Dr. Mahootchi is my doctor and I have my eyesight once again and can enjoy the simple things in life again and without glasses.
