I called Express Appliance and Repair at 7:30AM for refrigerator service. The service technician arrived at my house at 10:30AM the same day. Prompt, courteous, and fixed the problem...OUTSTANDING! more

I could not be more pleased and impressed? They scheduled an appointment within 24 hours of my call, showed as expected, charged far less for the service visit than most others (waiving a large portion of that charge if they did the repair), and actually brought with them the part which was likely needed, installed the part and were in and out in less than 15 minutes, and at a cost far less than I had feared! In my opinion, there is no other choice: Express Appliance & Repair is the hands-down winner of this race! more

My washing machine broke and I wanted to support a local small business near me rather than a big national chain. Found this place on Google, and was inspired by the many great comments on Citysearch. When I called I was surprised to learn that they could be at my home in less than an hour (they actually beat me there). Art and James immediately diagnosed the problem by looking at clues on the floor, as if they were a ""CSI: Columbia"" team. The repair literally took less than 15 minutes. The cost of the service call was less than half what I would have paid in New Jersey, and was waived because of the cost of the repair. They were so fast, I had time to sign up and write this review on Citysearch. If you need someting fixed, this definitely is the place! more

When my washing machine gave out, I was told by a national service that they'd send someone next week! Express came the next day! The total charge was about $15 more than the national company wanted just for a service call. In addition, Express's manager gave me some very helpful advice on questions I asked about several other appliances. They will for sure have my business. Very friendly and helpful dispatch lady with a good sense of humor. They fixed multiply problems at my rental property in one trip in quick order. They send repair men out late (until around 8:00 PM I think) which is very convenient for us day-jobbers. They have my business until the day they close up shop or until I die. Our fridge was on the fritz, so we called half a dozen different places this morning. Express Appliance came through like champs! They were easy to communicate w/ on the phone & in person. We had a pretty specific idea of what the problem w/ our fridge may have been, and they were able to give us an estimate immediately over the phone---all of the other repair companies wanted to charge a ridiculously overpriced service fee for an in-person estimate (Express's service fee was HALF what the other guys wanted, and there was no service fee charge since Express made the repair). We called just after 8 am this morning, and they've already come and gone (it's not even 11 am)---talk about prompt service! And the technicians were very knowledgable and informed. They've been in business for a long time and there's no doubt about why---it's because they are kind, honest, hard-working guys. If you've got anything that needs to be repaired or serviced, you should CALL EXPRESS! You'll be glad that you did. I used these guys twice in the last year. The first call was for a dead freezer/refrigerator. They came right out and not only got it working that same night, but showed me how to keep it going while they ordered the part. Pros: They will try to help you fix it on the phoneif you like. Cons: None that I could think of. more

I have called 3 times over the last 2 years, (Sunday am, friday, and sat am) and received PROMPT service and no extra fees. It was only 25 dollars for a service call on Sunday & only if nothing was wrong. The owner has worked on my furnace and AC and had them working in 30 minutes. He saw some duct work loose and said he would send someone the next day at no cost and I thought I would never see them, but sure enough they showed up, repaired it... no extra cost. Extremely knowledgeable, honest and fair!!! I would give them 10 stars if I was allowed! Pros: prompt, honest, good with animals in the home more
