My vision is now prefect, I won't lie and say it wgas instant, it took a while. The surgery itself was simple painless and very quick! Afterwards I had what can only be described as a thumping headache but I'm notorious for refusing painkillers so that could have something to do with it! I slept mainly the next day as vision was blurry but it gradually came back. Took a while to read properly as my vision was deliberately over corrected in one eye to help lengthen the time before I needed old age reading glasses. You can swim, shower, use a sauna, in fact do anything that you want to after 3 months. Freedom is the word I would use. You can also wear designer sunglasses etc which is a plus. Well worth the money if you are in your late 20's or early 30's. Please also note that lazer surgery does not stop age related short sightedness, so you may well need reading glasses in the future, something to remember if you work with a screen or do a lot of close work. Please do review all options including replacement lenses (possible corrections for both long and short sightedness) and/or the various Laser surgery variantions to ensure you chose the right option for you. For me the treatment was well worth the initial discomfort and cost. My vision is better than I hoped for. I get slight glare during night driving but otherwise I can see perfectly and I can still see more clearly when driving at night than I could prior to the treatment.\r more

No glasses to get in the way, it made a big difference as i work as a car mechanic my glasses often got broken or scratched, it took a few weeks to get used to but i can read the smallest of print even on tiny fuses etc\r more

All the staff made me feel relaxed and calm, which was important to me. I was kept informed every step of the way at all times. The procedure was all over in about 5 mins, then off to the recovery room. After about 20 mins in there, it was off home. A bit uncomfortable the first night, but got better every day after that. I found that after the treatment it was a lot more uncomfortable than I was warned it would be. I was told I wouldn't need the eye drops after but I did need them. So for a few hours after it was very uncomfortable but it did only last two or three hours. The receptionists, consultants and surgeon were all very friendly, nice people and helped me feel less nervous whilst I was there. I'm so glad I had the treatment. Nothing beats waking up in the morning not having to put glasses on or lenses in and being able to see clearly!\r more

I found the treatment quite scary and was in quite a lot of discomfort afterwards and my eyes were running so much I couldn't even get the anesthetic drops to work. I could have done with some reassurance afterwards but you are in and out of the surgery very quickly and I was in quite a panic at home. However - within 3 hours I was much better and able to watch the TV without glasses. I did need to keep putting drops in for about 6 months afterwards (mainly at night), and every now and again they will feel dry, but since then, I've not looked back - it is great to hug and kiss my children without knocking my glasses, do exercise without them bouncing around and wear sunglasses if I fancy it, and remove them if the sun goes in without being blinded!\r more

I have considered surgery many times in the past but was too nervous. Now with the new techniques, like Wavefront that tailor the treatment to the individual person, and new machines I decided to go for it. I was still very dubious because I am in my forties and I need reading glasses (I was wearing varifocals before surgery). My argument was that I would spend a lot of money and still not be completely free from glasses. It took me about 3 weeks to get used to the fact that I needed to look for my reading glasses if I needed to read small print or use my smartphone. Now it's second nature. I have several pairs of different strenghts for various needs and they cost as little as a $1.00. I have acquired some funky styles from TKmaxx. Anyway, now to the surgery itself. It was terrifying!! There is something about having ""work"" done to your eyes that sends your brain into overdrive! Fortunately it's quick and painless, I had a lot of discomfort for the first couple of days and I looked like a zombie, not everyone is like me but I have extremely sensitive eyes and my prescription was high so they were quite inflamed for a week. Everything was blurred after surgery but I could see, by the next day I had 20/20 vision. Once my eyes calmed down it was brilliant. I suffered from dry eyes for the first 3 months but after that I didn't bother with drops as I didn't need them. It was well worth it, the staff from Excel Laser Vision are brilliant and I can't fault the service. I have slighty better than 20/20 vision so my surgery was a total success.\r more

I had mono vision laser surgery as I did not want to wear glasses for reading/computer work, which means one eye is short sighted, the other is long. I had perfect vision immediately after the operation, took an hour and a half of having streaming tears running down my face, but no pain. After that it was great, was seeing things for the first time, like HD! The only downside was that I had a few headaches for a few weeks from time to time, but since then nothing. Now nearly 4 years in June, my eyesight is good. I have had one eye test at my local optician, 20-20 vision, it's great! :)My after care was good, when I went back the day after the surgery, they couldn't believe how quick my eyes had healed, it was like I had never had it done. Yes it's a pain to have the eye drops and pads etc, for a couple of weeks, but well worth it. No more glasses/contact lenses. The old saying goes, wish I had done it years ago, but hey better late than never!\r more

Waited a while before taking the plunge ... Having worn contact lenses for nearly 30 years my eyes were changing and my vision had to. So after speaking to so many people I went for a consultation and booked my surgery ! As I could see perfectly to read I was advised to have monovision - one eye lasered !! A bit concerned as had tried this with contact lenses. Well the result was Absolutely Amazing .... My lasered eye was 20/20 and after a few weeks my eyes were perfect !!! No more lenses... No more problems running or at the gym and night driving was perfect . It's the best decision I have ever made and would recommend to anybody your only regret will be you should of done it sooner.\r more

Good service, good price compared to other places and it has made a massive difference to my life. It took a few months for all the after effects to go but it was worth it.
