I love, love, love Erma. She's gotta be about five-foot-nothing (she's quite petite), has flawless skin, a perfect slavic accent, and she always greets me at the door in her little white lab coat with a smile, no matter what I'm there for. And honestly, even when it's a brazilian wax, I smile back. Her technique is the best I've ever seen in a long history of brazilian waxes, and even on the few times I've gone there after >3 months of not waxing (e.g. it's all Wild Kingdom down there), it's been the most comfortable Brazilian ever -- and yet very thorough. I've had trouble with some other waxes just breaking the hair off below the skin, which gives me horrible ingrowns and even stubble, but the hard wax Erma uses has always left my skin very smooth. I can be back on the street after an eyebrow wax without any red puffiness, and I'm part Scottish! Her facials have been godsends, too, and since I have very annoying dry, sensitive, wrinkle-and-break-out type skin, her help has made all the difference. Thanks, Erma! more

I've always dreaded a bikini wax til I found Erma at Eve Michael. First of all, she is a sweet Russian lady who makes you feel totally comfortable (I always got nervous showing my bits and pieces to young cute girls) but Erma is like being with an assuring mother type figure (not in a weird way). She uses hard wax, she is so quick, she is clean, and it hurts so much less than any place I've ever been. No strips! I promise it's the best wax ever. She has also saved my eyebrows and made them a perfect shape. Try her out - you'll love her. more

I got waxed here couple days ago and was very impressed with the results. I have very sensitive skin, and talked to the aesthetician about my concerns. Mila, who did the waxing was awesome. She was funny, sweet, and friendly. I think it was the first time I'd gotten a Brazillian where I didn't feel nervous or awkward. And really, when you're dealing with a stranger under circumstances like that, and you're totally comfortable with them, that kind of rules. I was totally impressed and will absolutely be going back. I love this place. It's modern, clean, and has a great atmosphere. I continue to recommend them to my friends, family and co-workers. more

I have received aroma facials from Mila here. I went there with a gift certificate from my friend, and had never received a facial before. Going in blind, I was really surprised at the overall experience I can honestly admit that I have been back 2 times to see Mila. She is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about her craft. She simply did an amazing job and I cannot wait to go back!!! If you are looking for an experienced aesthetician, a very clean, friendly place, one of the best skin care product I would recommend this salon and more specifically recommend Mila as your aesthetician. If you are in need of a wax (especially a Brazilian), look no further. Erma is the best there is. She is very sweet and caring, and makes the experience as quick and painless as possible. Not to mention, she always uses top of the line ingredients (hard wax) to ensure maximum comfort. I've been seeing Erma for over 2 years now. I have extremely touchy skin; used to be I couldn't do a thing for it, everything set it off and no it wasn't 'just a phase'. I'm also an athletic coach, which just makes things worse. I finally started trying a couple facialists in the area, just because I figured, if dermatologists can't do a thing for me, why not go to the people who make a real living off of making people beautiful? Sound theory, poor results--until I ran across Erma. Erma is amazing. One week after my first visit, my skin looked better than it had in my entire life. Now I go see her about once a month, and my skin looks GREAT. Smooth, soft, clear--and even younger, now that I asked her if she could do anything about the dark circles under my eyes. (Seriously, sometimes I'm so sleep deprived between work and grad school that I look like a panda.) Very first acquaintance I happened across afterwards told me I looked years younger, and for once well-rested. (Hahaha, I am never well-rested! Except after walking out of an appointment with Erma.) Erma does deep pore cleansing and soothing skin masks with me; and now, eye contour facials. (I'm also deeply in love with her hand massages!) I'm told she does lovely waxes as well; I've never gone in for it, but she's so very competent in skin care in general I'm certain she's wonderful for that as well. I had the pleasure of having a facial at the Eve Michael Salon and Spa. Just heaven! I'm no stranger to having a facial done and this was amongst the best I've ever had. Ask Mila for the best facial. Her face massage was magic, and I think I may have fallen asleep. When I floated out of there an hour later, my skin was clean, soft and gleaming! I like the skin care line which Mila had been using on my face. Among others product there is hungarian organic paprica peel. My skin was looking hydrated, revitalized and invigorated. I have a radiant, silky and healthy complexion after all. I have had bikini waxing and other waxing done here. It is amazing!.. Almost not painfull, great results. Excellent service, excellent results! I went to the Spa last month, and had a facial with Mila. She was so knowledgeable and so in tune to what condition my skin was in and mixed the best ingredients for my face. Mila has magic hands, she did amazing massage I've ever had before. I like skin care product using in salon. There is Yonka from France, which is very popular among celebrities. A week after I tryed the nonstrip waxing by Mila. She is very skilled both with keeping the experience fairly painless as well as making my brows look their best. Mila is very friendly and good listener. Pros: price, service, free parking more

I followed Erma from another spa, she is the best estitcian I have found in Boston. The atmosphere in the salon is great too. I never have to wait and I can almost always get an appointment last minute if I need. She does the best job and the salon is warm and welcoming! more

My previous hair stylist left the salon she was working in so I decided it was time to find someone new and closer to home. I researched salons in my Brookline area and saw that Eve Michael had received glowing reviews on yelp! so I decided to give them a try. I called late one afternoon and was given an appointment for the next day with Simon. From the minute I walked in to Eve Michael's I felt very comfortable. Simon greeted me by name and shook my hand while introducing himself. I know this sounds like a trivial thing to do - but I have never been greeted that cordially by a stylist before. Even my regular hairdresser! Back on track ... I told Simon exactly what I was looking for and not only did he listen to me, but actually showed me what it would turn out to be. He was very patient and receptive - even offering me options and opinions. I opted for a less severe inverted bob and I absolutely love it! I hope to make Simon my regular stylist and can't say enough about his skills and wonderful demeanor. Pros: Free parking more

I have been to this salon on numerous occasions for various services, including waxing, color, haircut, etc, and they never disappoint. The staff is super friendly and professional and I highly recommend them for any kind of service. I had an incredible experience with a Brazilian wax - it's probably the best in the area. The estitition, Mila, who did the wax and has over twenty years of experience in waxing, facials, etc., is amazing and really made me feel at ease with this procedure that was completely new to me (it was my first time going to a salon for a Brazilian). She's also done my eyebrows and the result was way better than I had hoped. I highly recommend her! I've also been to the salon for color and cut on several occasions and have to point out that Simon is great with talking to the clients and understand what exactly they would like to have done. I went to Eve Michael Salon for a bikini wax and had one of the worst experiences of my life. The table cover still had wax on it from previous clients. I was yelled at and accused of not knowing what I was doing in spite of having had many waxes in the past. I was so frustrated that I left in the middle of the appointment. I prefer an establishment that believes the customer is always right. Apparently Mila the waxer disagrees. Cons: Mila the waxer! more
