Eva's Play Pups

I have been using the amazing services provided by Eva?s play pups for three years now. Eva and her staff are very reliable and resourceful, but also Eva and her staff give each dog lots of TLC and try to understand their individual needs and personalities. Whenever I have had a concern or needing any information regarding my dog Jason and my cats Tiger and Big Louie, Eva has been so quick to respond and care, as if my pets were her pets. My sweet boy Jason loves going to Eva?s for day care and boarding. Whenever I go on a trip Eva?s staff does such an excellent job of cat sitting as well. They clean my cat?s bowls, litter, around the litter house, any spoons they dirty and they rinse out my cats empty cans and put them in my recycle bin as instructed. They feed my cats and give them fresh water. They even do me the favor to pick up my mail. Once there done they take the bag of dirty litter and dump it in the garbage can that are in front of my building. I am so happy of having the pleasure of using Eva?s services. Eva, Sophia and her staff make me feel so comfortable when I leave out of town because it feels like I?m leaving my precious pets with a family member instead of strangers. My little chi/jack mix has speration anxiety, and recently he was injured and therefore needed special attention while I was at work. Eva's did a great job of keeping him comfortable, relaxed, and happy. I never have to worry when I leave my boy with them, because I know they do they best possible for him, and will call me IMMEDIATLY if anything were to happen. They really are the best place if you want your pup to get some good TLC. Pros: attentive, responcible, caring, follow intructions well, they make my pup very happy Cons: i can't think of any more

She can't stand people and goes on a hunger strike when she's upset, so I always used to worry when I had to go away for any reason. But the people at Eva's do an amazing job of making her comfortable when they visit, because she always eats and doesn't have an accidents around the house to show that she's unhappy. Pros: house was spotless, cats happy, will always take phone calls if you need to check in and ask how the cats are doing more

They also follow instructions very well (I have a no shoes policy in my house, and I've yet to see a single footprint) , the litter was clea, and the floors were swept around the food. The dishes were washed and spotless, and the garbage taken OUTSIDE as requested and disposed of in the trash bins. They do a wonderful job, and I'll be using their services in the future whenever I have to leave town. Horrible experience! I hired this company to take care of my cats while I was away for Christmas,and it was a disaster! When I got home, none of my instructions had been followed.( We had discussed them, AND I had written them out for the owner) My kitchen was a complete mess- a plant had been knocked down and there was soil spread everywhere- it looked like they had just spread it around, rather than actually clean it up with the broom and dustpan) - My toilet was clogged because they had been dumping the dirty cat litter in there and trying to flush it- ! Even though I specifically requested that it be put in the trash because it was CLUMPING litter, and my toilet's plumbing couldn't handle it! My cat's food bowl looked like they had just dumped a ton of food in there and left it for days, when certain amounts were instructed to be fed..(nothing complicated, either, a four-year-old could have done it more accurately) -I left keys for my mailbox, and asked if they could check it, even once- Guess what? They didn't! ( Even though the had to walk right past it to come up to my apt.!) I ended up having to go to the post office and get my mail, clean up dirt from all over my kitchen, call my landlord to snake the toilet THAT night, after returning on a late flight, none the less!! And here is the kicker- I had special things on my keychain, for example, a mini flashlight that I bought to make there experience easier, since there is no light outside my front door- and they took these off, apparently didn't use them, and didn't know where they were when I went there to pick up my keys and pay the bill. They then said they would mail them to me, or drop them off, and they never did- After 5 weeks, and three more phone calls asking about their whereabouts, I still do not have the items that were on my keychain! Apparently, this is a horribly run business! And I do believe that there is lying and misinformation going on. I highly recommend trying someone else! Pros: none- not worth it Cons: they did nothing right more

Eva seems to give each dog lots of TLC and really cares for them and tries to understand their individual needs and ""personalities"". I always feel comfortable leaving my baby boy at Eva's. They only accept well socialized, non-aggressive dogs. Eva seems to give each dog lots of TLC and really cares for them and tries to understand their individual needs and "personalities". I like that for overnights, everyone goes upstairs and there's at least one or more people sleeping with the dogs making sure everthing is fine. The only thing I would wish for is an outdoor area for romping during good weather (though they do have a nice space inside), and a webcam would be great. I rate Eva's a 9 out of 10. We've used Eva several times and we're always confident of their service. I never worry when I leave Ellie at Eva's when were out of town. They know excatly what to do with the dogs to keep them happy. I definitely recommend this place to everyone! I have been using the wonderful services provided by Eva's Play Pups for four years now. From the moment I met Eva, I felt so comfortable knowing that Eva and her staff would be taking care of my dog Lucy. Not only are they reliable and resourceful, but also I know that my dog is well taken care of and always happy when she returns from her weekends at Eva's boarding facility. Whenever I have had a concern or needing any information regarding my dog, Eva has been so quick to respond and care as if Lucy were one of her dogs. I really appreciate the amazing service they offer from dog walking to boarding. My dog Lucy and I are moving to CT and at this time, Eva is not providing services there! : ) Maybe someday! We will truly miss Eva and her wonderful staff! I highly recommend this terrific group of people to dog owners in the area! I've had nothing but a great experience with Eva's Play Pups and the facility and staff certainly exceed my standards...I wouldn't go anywhere else. My havanese is always excited to see Eva. There is certainly a reason why she had been in business for long time and what seems to be a loyal clientele. more

I found out about Evas Play Pups through the City Search website, and had to see for myself whether the place was suitable for my two dogs. I had a pleasant conversation with Sofia, one of the owners, and arranged for an interview. I didnt know exactly what an interview with a doggie day care would be like, but I came away assured that my dogs would be happy there. First, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the place looked, and how nice the place smelled. There were quite a few dogs there when I arrived, and after some hesitation, my two guys jumped right in and started playing with all of them. To my surprise, the Sofia asked more questions than I did. Were my pets vaccinated? What kind of dog food do they like? Are they sociable with other dogs? Do they have separation anxiety when I leave them at home? I was taken aback by all of the information she wanted, and a little embarrassed when I couldnt provide all of the answers. That was about a month ago, and I can only tell you that my two guys are having a blast at Evas place. They go twice a week (thats all I can afford), and when I get home, theyre happy and exhausted. I would recommend the place to anyone. more

HEAVEN FOR DOGS! I have been taking my frenchie to Eva's since he was a little guy, it is his favorite place to play. He has a huge smile on his face as soon as we turn the corner and tries really hard to be patient as we walk to the door, he never even looks back at me when I leave. Everyone is very affectionate and knows him by name. When I pick him up he is half asleep with a smile stretching from ear to ear. Having Eva in the neighborhood is a big relief. It is hard to leave your dog with other people unless you know they really love animals, we fell in love with Eva's when we had to board our dog for eight days. We called every single day to ask the same stupid questions, Eva and Sophia were very patient and understanding and answered all of our questions again and again. They actually sleep over with the dogs, like a doggy slumber party! I can't say enough about Eva's if you try it you will love it too. For the person who gave the poor review all I can say is you should have given it a chance and you would feel the same way. Pros: Clean, organized, caring more
