Perfect Service - professional staff 5/16/2011

I have to say that of all of my day spa experiences - I find Essentials in Melbourne to be a wonderful balance between casual and upscale. Nobody wants to have their day of relaxation colored with people who look down their nose at you. Luckily the staff are warm, welcoming, professional and competent. As a woman who enjoys her services (hair-colouring, massage, and the occasional facial) - I know quality. So tell your friends, make a date and be sure to ask for a glass of wine. more

50 Minute Facial 5/15/2011

Totally relaxing and enjoyable. The time flew by but it was because it was so soothing. I love the hot mitts for my hands as well as the cool and warm sensations as my face was massaged, cleansed, hydrated, and taken care of. more

Our Essentials Spa day was amazing to say the least! My wife and I came in on our honeymoon for a relaxing massage and milk/honey wrap! Everyone was extremely nice and professional! The spa does a phenomenal job of making you feel spoiled and pampered! I would love to go back!! more

Best experience yet! 5/10/2011

I've visited Essentials several times, but my last visit was the best. They really seem to get it! I was served wine while munching on trail mix as I waited for my favorite massus. Donna is phenomenal, I will go to no one else! I never leave sore and she even showed me some stretches specific to my problem areas. Thank you Essentials for always living up to my standards :) more

Brazillian 5/9/2011

My experience was awesome! Not a fun procedure to have done but it was done so quickly that I didn't suffer the usual pain associated with a brazillian. The wax that was used is fantastic; just pulled the hair out and not the skin. I don't dread this appoiontment anymore!!!! more

Great Deep Tissue Massage 5/9/2011

I had so many knots in my shoulders and back from sleeping in a recliner for two weeks after sinus surgery. My massage therapist worked out the knots and gave me some morning stretching suggestions to prevent some of the knotting. I felt great the next morning. more

Manicure pedicure 5/8/2011

Gina obviously was ready to go home. She was tired and expressed how she dreaded going to her brothers home to take care of him (CVA) after she left me. My mani/pedi took one hour, she left sticky stuff on my arms, the massage was so quick I didn't even know I received one, did not use the toe seperators for my pedicure and was finished with my two services faster than the technician next to us that just did a pedicure. I have been a loyal customer for at least 5 years, and this was the quickest, least satisfying service I have had to date. Please do not share my name. more

A wonderfully relaxing day 5/8/2011

I enjoyed my time at Essentials yesterday. My massage with Sara was wonderful. The facial with Eileen very exhilarating. The ice cream pedicure with Chanel has my toes looking great again, and Maire (I'm not sure it is spelled correctly, but I've seen this as an Irish spelling for Maura before) did a fantastic job on my hair. My only very mild complaint would be that my lunch was forgotten. I missed out on the champagne, though. It was made right when I mentioned it. One suggestion would be to give an idea of how much time a client will have after one session before the next. I didn't want to hold up any appointments by being in the sauna or steam room when it was time, so I did not avail myself of these. Otherwise a wonderful day. A great Mother's Day gift from my family. more

What a mess ! 5/8/2011

I have to say that my massage was awesome ***** all the way. However, the service was just a mess. To make the appt was ridiculous, (2 girls calling in for adjacent appts) she just couldn't get it right, then we thought she had, we showed up at for our appts, and things were a complete mess. Misscheduling (causing delays), missed appts, non-nonchalant attitude about the whole mess. I've quite frankly had some great experiences but yesterday was not one of them. more

The word on Pedicures 5/7/2011

If you want a really good pedicure, I highly recommend the girls at Essentials Spa. Kathi is exceptional and she is my regular. I have had to use others there too, and find each and every one of the operators to be outstanding. They also make you feel very welcome. more

I was so pleased with the special "treatment" I received at Essentials. Upon my arrival, I was treated like a Queen- from the comfy robe to my glass of wine- then the massage!!!! Wow, just what I needed!! more
