We bought a Amazon Local voucher ($39) for a furnace ""TUNE-UP"" and inspection. I was away when the technician serviced our furnace. After the ""TUNE-UP"" he told my husband it needed a deeper cleaning which was an additional $159. So now we are at $198 for our $39 ""TUNE-UP."" We paid $198 for 1 hour of work. Called ESCO and all they would say was my husband gave him permission to do the ""extra"" work. The work that I presumed was covered in the voucher. Beware of Esco. more

After a successful experience with ESCO installing an exterior power outlet I purchased a furnace inspection and tune up voucher for ESCO via Amazon Local and immediately called to schedule the service. The first available appointment was just over two months away but I figured that's what I get for waiting until November to schedule. Today was supposed to be the day of the service but after missing their confirmation call today but calling back 28 minutes later I was told that they had rerouted the technician and we would have to reschedule for another day. This resulted in my wasting a vacation day for nothing. We had been considering purchasing the ESCO monthly service contract but I'm so glad we waited to make that decision. I'll be avoiding ESCO for all future business and if you value your time I'd suggest you do the same. more

I had many companies come to my house with quote the nicest company with trane brand furnace matched my lowest quote and I hade thee best service from them I bought it 5 yrs ago and I would recommend them to anyone more

This is one of the worst companies I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. \r We bought a furnace and air conditioning unit and had them install it. We bought their full “parts and labor warranty”. When I called them because our furnace was broken to my amazement they said there's a $100+ charges to diagnose the problem. I specifically paid for a warranty that covered all labor and parts related to the furnace and I knew the motor was dead. They eventually relented only because I told them id complain to BBB. \r I recently bought an air conditioning tune up service and when the technician came out he said “it's actually just an inspection” the tune up costs extra. By extra is was $150 to vacuum dust from the blower. When I said it clearly says inspection and TUNE UP” he basically said I know it's misleading!\r STAY AWAY – unfortunately I'm stuck with them more

I called Esco to fix my A/C and they said they could come at 4pm, probably earlier, and indeed they came at 3pm. So far so good. The worker looked at the unit briefly and determined the fan motor was out. He had to go to the Lennox store to pick up the part. When he came back, he was here about 45 minutes putting it in and drawing up the paperwork for the bill. So he spent about a total of 1 hour at my house, and I would guess 1.5 hours picking up the part. They charged me a total of about $735, so if you subtract the parts cost (about $350 plus Lennox's $75 fee to ""open the store"" after noon on Saturday), I paid a total of $310 for the service fee--which is about $125 per hour, over half of which was driving to get the part!!! The service seemed fine, but boy, did I get sticker shock!!! more

We have used them for 5 years for heating and cooling work on our home and business. They are always very knowledgeable and their prices are reasonable. We just used their electrical group as well. Same as their other workers. Courteous and competent. A great company all around. more

Great work, shoddy bookkeeping 2/4/2008

We had a new furnace and AC unit installed this winter. They had competitve prices and the workmanship amd materials were very good. However, they were not clear about the inspection process (who looks at it when), and were slow in getting the necessary paperwork to us in time to submit it for the rebates that sold us on the project in the first place. We used their 3rd party financing, who also did not get details about the account to us until we called about it. If you have time and patience to babysit them, ESCO was ok, but I wouldn't recommend them for installation. Pros: Good quality materials and work Cons: Poor communication more
