I called Esco to fix my A/C and they said they could come at 4pm, probably earlier, and indeed they came at 3pm. So far so good. The worker looked at the unit briefly and determined the fan motor was out. He had to go to the Lennox store to pick up the part. When he came back, he was here about 45 minutes putting it in and drawing up the paperwork for the bill. So he spent about a total of 1 hour at my house, and I would guess 1.5 hours picking up the part. They charged me a total of about $735, so if you subtract the parts cost (about $350 plus Lennox's $75 fee to ""open the store"" after noon on Saturday), I paid a total of $310 for the service fee--which is about $125 per hour, over half of which was driving to get the part!!! The service seemed fine, but boy, did I get sticker shock!!! more
