I also had a gift card for Escape Day Spa. My husband purchased it for me... a 300 package. Facets took my appointment with no problem and they were very nice. Give them a try. more

Another unused gift card 9/21/2007

I too tried to contact the Escape Day Spa in July 07 to use a $50 gift card and had no luck reaching them by phone, email, and even snail mail (letter was "returned to sender"). A friend of mine also has a $100 gift card that she can no longer use. I was shocked to read how many gift cards people had from the Escape Day Spa that were still active when they closed without warning. I'd been a customer there off and on over the last 4 years since I moved here from Chicago and thought at least there would be a postcard or something informing customers of the closing. I definitely feel ripped off. Pros: Location was good Cons: Owners owe their customers money and apology more

I just spoke to someone at SimplySkin who said they will honor all of Escapes outstanding gift certificates. I've heard great things about the place and they sounded really nice on the phone. However, they weren't able to get me in for a week. Good luck to all! more

I am out money too! 9/10/2007

For Mothers Day my family bought an $80.00 gift for me. When I called to make an appointment yesterday the phone, email, and website are all shut down. I have contacted the Secretary of States office, Attorney Generals office, an entity that this site won't let me name, and also the Bankruptcy court. I have the owners names and addresses as well as the legal name of the company. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals office and the entity that this site won't let me name. There has been no bankruptcy filed as of 9/11/07 for this company or its listed owners. It was suggested to me that if my complaints do not result in a refund of monies paid that maybe a class action could be filed if enough prople who are out money would get involved. It was also suggested that Small Claims was also an option. This is about the money but it also certainly more about doing the right thing! more

I am just like the other ladies, my husband bought me $380.00 gift card and now we have lost our money!! If anyone knows any info on where to locate the spa owners,please let us know!! I woul love to get a refund so we may purchase another spa treatment elsewhere!! more

Ok, I just found out that you can use gift cards at Facets Medical Day Spa. I am going for my massage on Saturday. My mom got a letter from Escape Day Spa -- I had told her how mad I was about not being able to use my gift card, so she called me right away. I hope you all read this that had gift cards. more

Loved it before it closed without any notice to gift card holders 7/27/2007

My husband bought me a $300 gift card and I had appointments scheduled for July 18th. On the night of the 17th, someone called from the spa to say that all my appts. were being cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances." They were very dishonest in telling me they would call the next day to be rescheduled because the spa went out of business. I have tried numerous attempts to get in touch with someone about getting a refund, and I am really frustrated to not get any answers. I was really looking forward to a day of pampering at the spa, and am mad that they closed without giving any warning to customers whatsoever. Very poor customer service. Terrible Experience 5/7/2007

Bad experience from beginning to end. Reception was clearly too busy upon arrival to greet or even acknowledge me. The massage itself was terrific, but the therapist talked the entire appointment. The posted rates on the internet are at least 15% less than what was charged. When brought to the attention of Reception, the reply was "well, where was that?" Strongly do not recommend this spa. It was very stressful and aggravating - the exact opposite experience I was looking for. more

Best Facial 1/2/2007

I had a facial and a hair cut there about a month ago and after a rough day at work I was wisked away into a state of calm relaxation. Being new to facial treatments the staff was very informative and made me feel at home. The location, though not too close to my home, was good and close to other shopping,etc. I will be back again soon! Pros: excellent service, informative and helpful staff Cons: decor could use a modern update more

This Spa is Great 6/1/2006

I loved the care and treatment my daughter and I recently received from Escape. We had the works, a full day's stay. Wonderful people work there. The Pedicure/Manicure folks could use a little brushing up on their communication skills and technique but overall it was the BEST experience in a Spa I have had to date. I give "The Escape" two thumbs up! Great atmosphere, and you leave feeling stress free! If you want a tour of the spa they will go out of their way to show you around. The "free" steam shower is the best! This can be added at no cost to your service. Try it after or before a massage.....wonderful! Wow, what more can I say? Pros: smiles, reasonably priced, not posh more

It was a wonderful, relaxing experience that I would highly recommend for any working woman who rarely gets to do something for themselves. It truly was an escape.
