Escape Away Day Spa

The total lack of human caring at this "spa" is astounding. The masseuse was so rough and unconnected during the massage, I was bruised and sore for days afterward. The chiropractor was rude and insistent on using his old fashioned approach even after I told him I didn't have any pain to be addressed. After the spa "care-givers" learned I had insurance they were focused on billing as much as possible regardless of whether I needed the service. Don't go to this place - you'll regret it and so will your insurance company. more

I am a regular at this spa and Tanya is very professional and talented massage therapist. All spa staff is very polite and good trained. I could not even picture those nice people treat someone bad or show an attitude. Here is to "lusa335": You are a very rude and I would not like to meet you in person. I could not understand such a bad attitude. Your review looks really out of the picture. I do not see anything that could possibly upset you, except reviews left for this spa. Now you make me to give them a review, I do not do this stuff. But... BTW you left positive review for the spa that was closed, at the time of your "service". Did you visit any of those spas at all? Experience does say it all. Although this spa looks quite lovely,the services were barely tolerable as was the awful attitude of the front desk and the therapists. They seem to feel you are lucky to be a client! All these reviews that I read have the same words-BEST_BEST_BEST!!! It seems pretty obvious who wrote the reviews-NOT CLIENTS FOR SURE!! I though that Tatiana was supposed to be the best-far from it-she was not at all what I expected and the services left us cold and very disappointed! Pros: looks nice-BUT!!!!!!!!! I had a Time Revival Escape package in Escape Away Day Spa. The massage was the best one I ever had, facial is very nice and professional. I never had reflexology before and found it incredible. It is so relaxing and AMAZING. I do not have other word for that. Great! 5 stars. Pros: massage, facial, reflexology Cons: location is hard to find more

We expected much more,but unfortunately this spa,although it looks inviting, is really very poorly run as well as having quite untrained therapists. I know that the owners will reply that this is a phony review-as they do to anyone who dares to criticize them,but we had a terrible time. The facial was awful,the massges were just ok. We went here after reading all of the reviews,but we also noticed how almost every review seems written by the same people-using the exact same words "Best.Best,Best". I think ,after going there this past weekend,that this spa will not last very long. I prefer our old standby day spa in downtown. And please,for the short time that you will stay open-GET SOME DECENT FRONT DESK HELP WHO ARE NOT RUDE AND JUST WANT YOUR MONEY. First of all, I read all of the positive reviews, and I totally agree with those. I came to this spa because I had terrible headache and problems with my neck. After 3 massages, I got muuuuch better, and now I go there every week. Moreover, while ago, this spa helped my mom when she had huge problems with her spine and was in terrible pain, so this spa is also the best place if you have some kinds of health problems, and the professionals always gonna help you. Went i first saw the interior of the Spa, i just fell in love with it. The beauty and the exotic style of the rooms are just out of this world. Check out their web site, they have photos of Spa on it. The massage was very relaxing, beautifully dimmed Asian lights and relaxing music on the background really fulfilled the aura. The owner of the spa carefully picked a dedicated team of licensed professionals to help him pursue the vision of the Escape Away Day Spa. Our massage therapists had to go through our massage school, despite their experience. Our European and Israeli trained estheticians have solid USA experience & deep knowledge of our products and therapies. Spa team has not changed since spa opening. None of us is illegal. We all are hard-working taxpayers. Yes, we had run a voting campaign to win Best of Citysearch Spa & Beauty of 2009 and very proud of this achievement. This is most likely a reason for irinap55412's outburst of rage and jealousy. We understand that this is not the end of threats against us. We are not intimidated. Escape Away Day Spa team is going to turn this "review" to authorities to find a persecutor and press charges against her/him. more

It was a pleasure working with Escape Away Day Spa throughout the entire booking process, from the first phone call to the very last moment of my spa party. The level of personal attention and service provided was exceptional. The spa staff members were extremely knowledgeable and professional, and made all my spa party guests, some who were having their first massage, comfortable and relaxed. I personally received one of the best massages I've ever experienced. I will definitely use Escape Away Day Spa again, and refer them to others as well. Thanks, again, for a great spa party. I am looking for the worlds to describe my amazing spa experience. I am speechless. It is exceptionally good. Surprised by location, this place is hard to find. However, this beautiful, serene spa and remarkable service are worth it. I got Royal Treatment, performed in hot sauna and even went into the icy water pool. This is quite an experience! Incredible! I fall asleep during a reflexology session and could not describe that, but it feels good, very good. Services were performed quietly, flawlessly, very professional and gracious. I love Mediterranean massage here, especially at this kind of weather. After frigid freezing urban winter, you teleported to a Mediterranean sea. We were quite excited to go this spa after friend told us they heard it was nice. It is not at all what we expected. The facialady was terrible and the front desk was rude and very not helpful to us when we complained about the terrible facials. We expected much more from this place. The owner (a man named Boris) was very rude to us and when we asked why he told us "take your business to some other place". We never will return here. I was so happy to discover that Escape Away Day Spa is absolutely amazing! This is the best of the best of Philly's spas. I sampled every unique treatment that it offers. Mediterranean massage, Nefertiti Dream massage, Russian Royal Treatment, Cleopatra’s Hot stone. OMG! They all are sooo good. Even my husband loves them. But his favorite’s deep tissue and signature massages. And by the way every masseuse and masseur there is very good! This is the best spa team you could imagine. I recommend you this spa and vote for it the best! more
