Escape Away Day Spa

First let me say that I have been to several spas in the tri-state area, and have always had a nice time. I won't mention any others by name, but they are all VERY expensive. One of the best things about Escape Away is the incredibly reasonable prices. I made my own package and paid about half of what I have would have paid at a comparable spa. Getting nearly 50% off of normal spa rates puts anyone in a great mood, but when you see the immaculate and gorgeous surroundings, you will feel as though you were in heaven. Online pictures don't even do it justice. It is much bigger and more beautiful in person than can be conveyed in a picture. You can tell the owner keeps a VERY tight ship, because every time I came back to the waiting area, it was again immaculate as if I had never even been there. It's like people come silently and clean up after everything immediately. Even the bottles and jars the practitioners use were 100% clean and their service areas were all immaculate. The treatments were AMAZING. My massage was heaven and the chocolate body wrap was seriously mindblowing. I can honestly say it was one of the best physical sensations I have ever felt to have the warm chocolate foam slathered on and then be showered off, all while laying down. My facial was wonderful and my skin looks soft, supple, and glowing. My foot reflexology was wonderful also. To then complete all the treatments and lounge in the lovely private dining area was beyond fantastic. The lunch was very yummy and I just felt so incredibly pampered and special. As soon as I complete this review I am going to spend my time looking up what treatments I can have next time and figuring our how soon I can swing going back to the spa from a financial standpoint. I went to Escape Away a couple months ago with a friend who read their great reviews. It was amazing! Alex did my massage and was so good that I said I'd request him next time I went! So I took my mom to Escape Away Spa today for Mother's Day. She had the Swedish massage and I had the Signature massage (with Alex). It was just as great as my first experience. My mom and I agreed they were the best massages we've ever had. And the prices are excellent, especially if you can catch a special! I'd give it 6 stars if I could! I was worried that this place was too good to be true. It was less expensive but the service was excellent, offered tea, allowed for space to relax. We celebrated my friends birthday and it was well worth it. I would go back again and again. I almost fell asleep! Pros: Extremely relaxing Cons: Low on cash for tips and couldn't charge tips more

I had a pre-Mother's Day celebration with friends. I was a spa virgin & now intend to become a regular! It is super-clean, totally zen & every masseuse was undeniably wonderful. Outstanding service! People here are very friendly and accommodating. Prices are surprisingly low with no strings attached; no sales pressure, no unexpected extra charges. I have tried many spas and therapists but have found none better than at Escape Away Spa. The facility is amazing, they thought of everything to make the experience relaxing and enjoyable. If you have any doubt in excellence of Escape Away Spa, just take a tour on their website. The place is very elegant and classy with tasteful decor and amazing rooms. The staff is very professional, knowledgeable and respectful and their massage is out-of-this-world! If you are looking for the absolute best, you won't find a place that even comes close to this. I found this spa online. The prices seemed low for a spa so I was a little skeptical. I was wrong! I walked in a sanctuary, beautiful world of relaxation and wellness. Front desk girl greeted me very nicely, not surprising by my confused look with mouth agape. I was speechless for a moment. The place is magnificent. To make me wonder even more, my massage was the best I ever had and I am not a novice. I already booked for the next one. more

My husband gave me a gift certificate and on valentine's day I went and had a massage & a facial. From the moment I walked into the spa I just felt that it was goin to be great. From the moment you step into the spa you feel like you've just entered an upscale resort. There are pictures on the spa website, but I was still surprised by how beautifully decorated everything was. I received the "Escape away around the world massage". I loved the entire experience, but the Mediterranean massage was by far my favorite. I now know what it feels like to be a princess :) Everyone was professional and kind. My boyfriend dumped me out of the blue right before the Valentine?s Day. I definitely needed to ?relax and let it go?. I treated myself to a massage at Escape Away Spa and it was the best gift I could give myself. The ambiance was soothing, the service prompt and delightful and everyone was so friendly. My husband booked a couples massage for my Valentine's Day surprise (I know, lucky me!) and he chose Escape Away spa since it was near our dinner reservations at Blue Sage Vegetarian Grille. He made an excellent choice because this is the best spa I have been to in a long time! When you arrive, do not be put off by it's location...sure, it's on top of a Cold Stone Creamery, but once you enter the premises you are transported to another world. Soothing music, dim lighting, and whispers greet you as you leave the hustle and bustle of Northeast Philly behind and enter this serene locale. Relax in the waiting area with light snacks and some wine before being whisked into your private massage sanctuary. Our masseuses, Julia and Alex, had hands of steel and got out even the deepest musles with the spa's Signature massage (deeper than Swedish, so be warned!) My one complaint is that, as a plus-size lady, my robe did not quite fit around me and I had to do some "improvising" with a towel. Still, had as much fun and was just as relaxed as the skinny divas strolling around! We will be back FOR SURE! I came to Escape Away Spa because I liked how it looked on the Citysearch video and also because they had a great offer ($59 for a Signature massage or a Signature facial). I really enjoyed my first experience. The girl at the front desk is very friendly. My massage therapist was wonderful. The facility is tasteful, clean, comfortable and stunning, like on the video. It's also located well - a hair salon right next door. It is very convenient to get all those things done on the same day. Most importantly, no one pressured me to get additional services. I treated my mother-in-law and myself to a full body massage and signature facial. We absolutely loved it!!! We've both been to many spas in the past, but Escape Away Spa is the best experience we have ever had. Everyone at the spa was so welcoming and attentive!
