DO NOT use theri service is prices matters to you. Called in for estimate on toilet install and told me they couldn't quote price, but would send plumber over for free estimate. I told them it's a waste of time if it's over $150, because I already have quotes at that range. They insisted it would be worth my while, so I agreed. Quote was $360!! for a simple install, nothing extra had to be performed. I was insulted and told him, "so you are in the business of screwing people aren't you?" That made him angry, and we had a few unpleasant exchange of words. he then asked me. what field of work I am in, and I replied sales. And he replied back, "so am I". That's the problem, you won't get a plumber, you will get a sales person charging twice the price, or even more.\r \r If they had a zero rating, I would of checked that. Beware of anyoneposting high ratings for this company, it's obviously from an employees of Ernie's...no one in their right mind would give them a good rating. more

Because of the home warranty program I bought, we were forced to use Pope Plumbing. The job was never done correctly the first time....and that is not an exageration. The last time Pope Plumbing came out to repair a hot water heater, the same heater leaked and caused a couple thousand dollars of damage. After that, I called my own plumber to make repairs. more

Way over priced!! Their labor charge was over twice all the other estimates and then there was a lot of extra un- specified expense added in. more

Beware! Very shady. Charges were almost double what they should have been. Later became very evasive about warranty issues. Do not use. more

Wish there was a star rating of less than one star for this company. "Cavet Emptor" is a latin term which means "let the buyer beware". So I am guessing that some latin must have done business with Ernie's in the past and that is where the term came from. Wife picked them cause they were rated good on "Angie's List". Big Mistake. Was told that our pipes were too small for the water being discharged by a washer we have had, with no prior problems, for over 9 months. Like a fool we bought their story when they quoted us $700 for replacement pipes which we were assured would fix the problem. It didn't. Over a thousand dollars later we were told that we had a stoppage due to rotting pipes under the house and given a quote for $25,000 to trench 3/4's of our house to replace 3/4's of our plumbing. We called our insurance company and have real plumbing professionals look at it since they left and I can tell you I am glad we let others look at it. Will never use Ernie's Plumbing again. more

Only good thing to say is plumber showed up on time and gave a free estimate -- $475. Had another master plumber come out and he did the job for $144.38. Ernie's charges way too much. more

I have uesd this company several times in the past and they have always been fair honest and gave me the price upfront so that I can determine if I want to have it done then or if I want to wait, what more can you ask of from a company,,,, Alway fast , fair and honest more

The water pressure on the kitchen sink was very low and their Tech charged me $215.00 for a 15 minute job - NO new parts were put in ... just cleaned the debris inside the faucet .... all it took is 15 minutes ..... NEVER AGAIN WILL I CALL THIS COMPANY - EVER!!\r \r THIS IS TOTALLY OUTRAGEOUS!! THIS IS TOTAL RIP-OFF!!\r \r DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE - YOU WILL BE VERY SORRY IN THE END!! more

Their price was a little high but they did a fantastic job in a reasonable amount of time. They also cleaned up after themselves (first time I've ever had a plumber do that). They were also very polite. more

The plumber who came out here was wonderful and the price was great. I called a number of companies and this one was the best. If you want great work and it done right go here, if you bad work go somewhere else, I promise you will end up calling them anyways after the other company fails to comply with their work.\r \r Also they give you a price before you buy it so everyone copmplaing it cost them to much, knew the price up front and did not have to go with them if you thought it was too much, people just wanted something for free how sad.. more

After reading the description of service performed: replaced fillvalve and flapper in one commode and replaced flapper in another commode plus repaired leak on existing hosebibb by using a used part, I feel I was taken advantage of by being a woman. Total job took 15-20" and parts were minimal leaving a labor charge of approximately $330 for 15". After sharing this experience with neighbors and friends, I felt compelled to contact the Better Business Bureau for resolution of outrageous price charged. I have stopped payment on check. more

Had some minor plumbing issues, called Ernies, they came out and quoted over $600.00. I almost told them to go ahead but decided I should get another quote. Called Arlington Plumbing, they came out said it would be under $200.00. They finished the job in about an hour with a total cost of $186.00. So I told my wife it was $600.00 and spent the difference at Baby Doll's. more

The water pipe broke from the meter to the house.\r \r I did the digging to open up the ground for them to work.\r \r What they need to do is to put a new water line - about 40 feet from the city meter to the water valve into the house.. \r \r They came and estimate the work. \r \r Oh My GOD....!!! What the price !!! Definitely a jack up price - We are not that stupid. \r \r I called around to 6 other plumbers - ask for rough estimation for the work (one of them came to check the work).\r \r They give me estimation range of from $ 450.00 to $ 850.00.\r \r Ernie's price is above $2000.00.\r \r Unbelievable....!!! \r \r Better watch out with their price !! for a broken pipe, the plumber came out the first day and refused to go under the house because they was standing water in some parts. the "standing water" he referred to was 1.5 inches in uneven areas (puddles) in the sand/dirt crawlspace. he said we had to have the crawlspace pumped out and dried first.\r we then called a master water damage control guy to come out and said that ernie's plumber was a wimp not to go down and fix the problem.\r the space dried out overnight and upon return, the plumber again refused to enter the crawlspace because it was too tight for him to fit in - i've had guys twice his size fix in the space before.\r this tech also doen't like doorbells because he invites himself in without asking. typical rude ex-union worker from new jersey. We call Ernie's if we need a plumber. My husband does most of the handyman work around the house but when he was out of town I needed a plamber. I was a little apprehensive with my husband out of town but he told me to call Ernies. They sent a plumber who took care of the problem, explained it to me simply and charged a fair price. I was happy with the service and have called them again since then for a different problem (We live in a house built by a company who built the plumbing with bubble gum and drinking straws!). I was in a pinch with a plumbing problem and they solved it fast. They had speedy service from trustworthy employees and they told me exactly what was wrong and how they could fix it. They completed the work fast and on the same day I called. more

I used this plumber because of a recommendation and was very pleased. I had to call after work and they sent someone out right away. The repairman was very fast and fixed the problem before I even knew what was really wrong. I felt comfortable with what I was charged which is always a plus. more
