I've always used Ericka's Tailoring for my alterations. Margie is one of the best, and I've never been disappointed when I've been to her shop. They are fast, inexpensive, and do an outstanding job! more

I purchased a skirt from Orvis and took it there for a simple hem. They cut it off (which was okay), but the hem was so crooked I couldn't wear it. It varied in lengths of up to two plus inches all the way around the bottom. (No, I'm not exaggerating.) It was so bad I couldn't even donate it to Goodwill. I threw it in the trash--over a $100 out the window. I'll NEVER go back and advise you not to go either. This place should be closed. \r PS: juls814 is right on about that front desk guy. I had the same issues with him, except while I stood waiting he rested on the short couch with his feet hanging over the arm. I thought he was just a rude customer, until after about 10 minutes gave me the honor of asking what I wanted... more

This business sucks! I showed up with my favorite pair of worn out blue jeans hoping they could do a good reinforcement job on a rip close to the zipper and what I got was a miscolored patch that was handsewn in (I could have done this myself!) 2 weeks later, the rip has already gone past the patch so I have to get them fixed again, but definitely not taking them back to Ericka's! The guy who runs the front desk also sucks. He has the personality of a zombie and shows up on his own time schedule. I think I waited 10 or 15 minutes to be waited on with no one else waiting to be served. He wouldn't take a credit or debit card payment because he said it would cost him more than my $5 to run the transaction. No apologies, nothing. Ericka's is never going to see my face in their shop again! more

if i could give a negative i would - i took in a pair of $200 jeans and got back a hem line that was so horrendously crooked that i could have done a better job on my own sewing machine. EXTREMELY disappointed and will NEVER be going back. more

Both times I have gone to this establishment there have been issues. The first time they were a day late in delivering my clothes. The young lady there did give me a little discount for my time and the work was acceptable. \r The next (and last) time I dropped off a suit coat to be altered they redid the sleeves incorrectly, and in a manner that is not reversible. Now I have a realitivly expensive designer suit coat that is noticible illconstructed. more

I've been going to Ericka's Tailoring for over 3 yrs now and the last few times I've used them, there have been mistakes. Last week my husband and I dropped off 6 pieces including a suit, 2 pair of designer men's jeans, and 2 pair of dress pants and paid $78. 1 pair of jeans only needed to be hemmed on one leg and the other jeans needed to be hemmed about a half inch. Both jeans we stressed 3 times 'original hem' the way she has done on all of the jeans I've ever taken there. Picked everything up on Friday and didn't notice until that night that the jeans were NOT 'original hem'. The pair that only had one leg to be hemmed looked terrible b/c one leg was original hem and the other not.... I called the owner and she said they would find the ticket and see if they could find the jean pieces that were cut off and try to fix them. I called back today and she said that the ticket did not say 'original hem' and she didn't know what she could do except look through the scraps and see if she could find some original hem that would be close in color. Ridiculous considering the jeans were approx. $300. Pros: Great when done right Cons: Not reliable more

I have to have all my jeans hemmed because I am only 5' tall. I have taken them to many places in the past and have never been satisfied. Ericka's put the original hem on my jeans for less than other places, and they were very fast. I was shown some of their other tailoring as well, and all the work is excellent. I highly recommend them. more

Ericka's Tailoring is the best alteration place I have been to. The have fast service and they are very friendly. My clothes were perfect! They do miracles on clothing.
