For well over a decade, English Rose has served my North Raleigh household -- since 1998, in fact. Throughout all the years, my experience has been very positive. Owner/operators Carolyn and Ben Cooper have always been very responsive and accommodating. Any service relationship -- especially one of of this longevity -- inevitably encounters an occasional issue, and mine were few and far between. All were addressed promptly, with courtesy, and to my complete satisfaction. I often interact with the cleaning teams and constantly am impressed with both thoroughness of the work and the professionalism consistently demonstrated by the staff while on the premises. \r \r Based on my long-term experience with this owner-operated business, I am happy to endorse English Rose Cleaning Services LLC. more

English Rose Cleaners have been taking care of my home for over 4 years. I have kids, dogs, cats and a full-time career, so I need a cleaning service that I can count on. Ben and Carolyn (owners) have NEVER disappointed me. They follow a cleaning process that results in my home being cleaned beautifully every time they visit. Our neighbors have been using English Rose Cleaning Services and we've been looking for a cleaning service for some time. We hired English Rose to clean our home and we're very happy with the service. We've hired them to clean our home every two weeks. We asked the business owner for a few clients they are servicing now as we wanted to see how happy they were with English Rose. I called two clients and both stated how happy and satisified they were with the service. We just moved to Raleigh NC from NY and we must say English Rose Cleaning Services was just GREAT!!!! We just like to say who ever posted the comment on 8/29/2008 ""Windardnc"" as ""Dont Be Fooled"" as they are the fools!!! We now are using English Rose Cleaning Services every two weeks and our neighbors are using them as well. I would like to everyone to notice the only time there is a positive post about this company is right after a customer post something negative. Please refer to my previous post before employing English Rose. I would be embarrassed to refer this company to my neighbors. They also hide behind their insurance company like they are their attorney. English Rose is not worth wasting your time. more

I was a customer of English Rose for 3 to 4 years with service every other week. I recommended several of my friends to them because they were a small local company and I wanted to help them. I always made sure my house was picked up, I always paid on time, and I even gave them a Christmas present. Regarding their cleaning it was just average and I do agree with many of the comments on this site (except for the one posted by the owner) that they were rude. I even have 2 friends that I recommended to them that left for that reason also. \r \r They raised my rates twice by sending a really offensive letter in the mail and explained that there were far more profitbale clients on a waiting list if I didn't want to pay the increased amount. I definitely felt like they didn't value me as a loyal customer and wanted to drop me as a client for ""more profitable"" business. They were rude and condescending and I would not recommend them to anyone. more

I was a customer of English Rose Cleaning for approx 2 yrs. Although I agree with the negative review of this company, I was not one of the previous reviewers. Despite that, I received the following threat from Carolyn Cooper, the owner (aka cacooper who posted the only positive review of her own company). Prospective clients should be warned that they are rude, unethical and respond to feedback by threatening legal action. \r \r Note from Carolyn Cooper (5/1/07):\r ""I would just like to ask that you have those comments removed immediately (no later than May 15) or I will be contacting our lawyers and suing you and Jennifer for libel since the statements in both reviews are utterly untrue.... I would think that two professional women like yourselves would have better things to do than bad mouth a small company and ruin our reputation just because Jennifer misinterpreted a letter that was never intended to be rude. I find it very immature to say the least."" i had english rose come and clean my home and let me say they were rude i would never recommend them to any of my friends they were slow and as slow as they were they didnt do a good job one of the ladys that came that day i think it was the owner she was on the phone while she was cleaning and that was just rude more

A friend referred this service to me and I think they do an amazing job. They are 100% dependable and one of the two owners is always on site, not like other larger companies I have used in the past. With those big companies you rarely got the same person twice. The two owners, Ben and Carolyn, are extremely trustworthy and very pleasant. Their charge is much less than I was used to paying and the service is excellent value for money. I am definitely going to recommend them to my friends and colleagues. Great job. more

These cleaners are not thorough at all, they damage things, and the customer service is terrible -- even downright rude many times. I would stay far away. Pros: Reliable Cons: Not thorough, miss a lot, and HORRIBLE customer service more
