First of all, it's quite obvious that all of these reviews are fake. I actually have proof of this, which I will explain. Second of all, these are the worst dentists you can imagine. \r

I take exteremely good care of my teeth and have never missed a checkup. Before I visited Emmert, I had gotten about 3-4 cavities filled over the course of my life. I chose Emmert because they were accepted by my plan and convenient to downtown Pittsburgh. Upon my first visit to Emmert, they told me I had EIGHT cavities. EIGHT. Looking back, right then and there I should have gotten a second opinion. But of course, I didn't, and had all of my ""cavities"" filled. I had a lot of trouble with sensitivity for nearly 6 months after that horrible experience.\r

Fast forward one year. I go again for a checkup. The female dentist takes x-rays and tells me that I need a root canal in 2 and possibly 3 teeth. At this point, I'm getting extremely upset and suspicious. I had no trouble with my teeth at this time. The dentist tried to scare me into getting the root canal by comparing my condition to that of Tom Hanks in Cast Away when he knocks out his own tooth (I'm not joking here). Did I say, my teeth didn't even hurt? Thank God I got a second and third opinion. The other dentist and endodontist I saw both said that I DID NOT need a root canal. \r

On top of all of that, if you visit these butchers, be prepared to listen to the unprofessional receptionist talk about her drunken outings on the phone during your wait. I also heard her call someone and ask for more ""business reviews"" on the phone right while I was in the waiting room. Hence their stellar rating on these sites. \r

When I finally switched dentists, they even gave me a hard time about giving me my records until I cited HIPAA regulations (I work in healthcare). \r

I filed a complaint with my insurance against these people and considered filling with the BBB. Do yourself a favor and avoid them at all costs.
