We've used ECP in Lee's Summit several times over the last 3 years and had good experiences each time, though friends have reported billing issues. Our co-pay was the same as with a regular doctor. Our wait time has always been short. Major plus for us was the xray facility on premise. We really appreciated the radiologist, Dale, who is AWESOME with kids. I love not having to go to a hospital to check for a broken bone. My husband, kids and I have all had good doctors who are calm, professional and quick. They tend to be conservative on the antibiotics, which is good for us. While I would like them to be more into complementary medicines, I will definitely continue to use them for urgent care situations. Might even consider them as a family practice since they've started offering that now. more

I visited Emergent Care just the other day. I had just gotten over a stomach virus and fever. The reason I came in was to have my throat checked out. It was inflamed, and as I later found out by second opinion, due to sinus drainage. The receptionist was fairly nice, as was the nurse that came into to check my blood pressure, heat rate, etc. I'm not sure who the next person was, I assumed she was the doctor, in unprofessional dress (sweatpants and a t-shirt). She checked out my ear and my throat as I tried to tell her my symptoms. She jumped right in to tell me that I had a throat abscess and I needed to go to the ER in the next day or so or I would die due to my throat closing shut. She said she had the same thing when she was 17 and she was an ""expert"". I will NEVER go here again. This isn't the first time I've gotten a misdiagnosis from the people here, but it will definitely be the last! more

I visited EMERGENT CARE PLUS for a non-emergency issue. All went good until I was reviewing my receipt upon returning home that evening. I was double-billed for my co-pay. I called back that evening and was immediate sent to the ""Billing"" voice mail box. I left a detailed message but never received a call back. I waited until the next week and called back. Straight to voice mail, left another detailed message, never received a call back again. Over the last 3 weeks I have called five times, four sent to billing's voice mail and once to management's voice mail. I also sent two emails. To date I have not received a single response from the company. Bottom line is bring cash, ask what they will be charging your debit/credit card or stay away! more
